Even if there’s little to no fear of death or permanent injuries, there’s still the trauma that comes from bodily harm. That’s what I like so much about shows like this.
To be honest I was expecting Jennifer to join in the mission with Mariner in this episode so she could work things out with Mariner by amending this misunderstanding back in season 3 and be just friends.
I've been rather irked by the fact that we've gotten 0 resolution for that entire thing. The two of them where cute together I want to see them make up because iI think it would of been good for Mariner to have jennifer in her corner during all this struggle to just get over her fears and rank up.

Yes… But notice it isn’t “aging” or “de-aging” them. It is time dilation and a bio-temporal flux. I think that means (and I’m guessing here) that you will always return to your base self. So he would likely just feel the pain of the leg breaking all over again as he left the age down area

Too bad T'Lyn wasn't there... her Vulcan body would have aged, yes, but they live for centuries so she could have easily go and get those crystals.
Honestly, I wish she's in that episode, too.
She wouldve aged like fine wine.
