Thanks for another excellent video. I imagine that others find the log train fascinating. I have travelled north of Carlisle a few times hoping to see it being loaded or some evidence of its starting point. Just seeing it passing through the station provokes many thoughts. Thanks again. Denis
@@denisjones7836 The sidings can't be seen from either the main line or road running to the west of the timber yard. If you look at BSW on Google maps aerial view the pair of sidings are just north of there.

A Class 37 is always a welcome sight. Carlisle is still a great place for a wide variety of loco's. I wish i still lived there, Chester is good, but not in the same league as Carlisle.
The flask train was an excellent catch. Was it 5 flasks?? I finally for my hands on an Accurascale Orange livered HNRC 37, and it looks superb running round the layout, hauling all Manor of inappropriate rolling stock.

@@johnwalsh6024 That was a commercially available video from 16mm and 8mm film that had been distributed in the early 80s I think. The copy from video hasnt been done well.Glad you are enjoying my modern look at Carlisle

5 flasks indeed. Interesting hauling a Manor - oh all manner of stock! Well what's a model railways for otherwise.
@LeslieGilpinRailways I'm sure back in the 60s a 37 probably did haul a Manor off to Dai Woodham's Scrapyard, but not in that hi-vis vest livery!
I saw the class 37 going through Lancaster just before 4pm

No idea sorry. They are fully owned by Royal Mail so may be sold or scrapped .
