Thank you for sharing empress. You also spoke of shipping things to Ghana. Can you please share some information on the shipping. I'm moving to Ghana(Aburi) area, from the states (Massachusetts)and would like to ship some things also. Thank you 🌟Sistar🌟

Right we want to LIVE not “survive “!
@@clariciacabral-dasilva9683 YES PLEASE, i’m coming from NY. i need the same information.
Expensive is relative. Accra is not all Ghana. There are places in Ghana far cheaper than Accra. When people say Ghana is expensive they actually mean Accra is expensive. Tamale, Kumasi and HO are cheaper than Accra.
I agree but somethings are constant throughout the country. Fuel prices, amenities, etc. That's why people say Ghana is expensive.
@@NanaAshanti Accra is not Ghana. Where in the west can u live on $1000 usd? I can live on 400 usd in Bole that includes rent. Do it's up to each individual. Accra is not Ghana.
Hardly has to do with place, in that case. More like personal lifestyle. Everyone knows they have options and yet choose urban areas, for a reason.
@@NanaAshanti, Majority of Ghanaians live outside Accra, small towns and rural areas. Location in Ghana, life style, comfort and extra activities are all factors to determine how much one needs. Club Beer in Tamale is cheaper than in Accra. Same applies to rent and food. Some people prefer a big city like Accra, some a small town as Koforidua, Takoradi, Axim, Cape Coast, etc
The majority of Ghanaians live in URBAN areas. URBAN lifestyles are expensive, in general. That was the point but sure, got it.
Love that you shared this. I am a single woman and i know i spend more that $500 a month. 😩

you’re very beautiful btw and red lipstick suits you and that yellow top ❤️💕🦋
Thanks love.
Let's not confuse Accra for Ghana. Accra is expensive, yes, but most places outside of Accra are quite cheap.
I kinda find that not accurate. If it's a rural area, sure. But from my experience of urban areas across Ghana, it is not cheap.
@@NanaAshanti Sis, how many places in Ghana qualify as "urban"? The fact is, life outside Accra is generally much cheaper and I think v/bloggers would do well to draw the distinction for their audience.
Lol. I consider all the major city pretty urban. We say these things from our personal experiences so it may be true for you but not for us. Take fuel, hotel prices, hospital bills, etc. It isn't that much cheaper, city to city.
@@py20
Ghana is very expensive. Food, electricity, water, fuel, telecommunication are more expensive than the western world. Don't forget the minimum wage is 12 ghc/day. And the average salary is 700 ghc/month.
if you get MTN fibre broadband, GHC 400 can get you like 390 gigs
Good tip. I'll check it out
can you show how to pack✈️ dry goods (food)and products for taking to Ghana 🇬🇭 please 🙏🏽Thank you
I really don't have a special way. I just pack it in a uhaul and bubble wrap the box. Pretty easy.
do you think aburi is expensive? if you’ve been there? i’ve been there twice and from the area i went to, fruits were so cheap and a lot. imagine five mangoes coming up to 2 cedis but idk whether it’s changed. this was in 2018
Really depends on where in Aburi but I'd say, it's cheaper than Accra for sure.
i can’t wait to move back sigh. and 3,075ghc honestly isn’t so bad and having other business on the side to top up a bit. but accra is expensive and starting to hate it in accra.
If there were easier ways to come in and out of Accra (with say railway), I'd move too.
Chocolate sis you glowing
Thanks 😊 🫂
Paying for internet, yaa salaaaam that money can buy 4 bags of cement a Month.
8 bags actually 🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲

Hi Nana ❤ Love this info. Thanks for sharing. With growing inflation, I wonder if your expenses have increased.
Oh it has so I'll be making another video.
@@NanaAshanti I’m looking forward to it. 🙏🏾
Do you not pay for power? I am asking because I am planning on working from Ghana in January and want to put together a realistic plan for my expenses.
I pay mine annually so it doesn't fall under my monthly expenses.
Mmh..... Yummy topic
Gas price has nothing to do with Ghana. Nigeria is a much larger oil producer but gas is not cheap. OPEC controls gas prices.
Even Senegal has higher prices than us. I know this. Taxes and levies our government imposes makes it more expensive than it has to be. That's the point.
@@NanaAshanti, OPEC is in charge of gas prices. No African government has control. That is the point.
Everyone knows this. Everyone also knows that the added fees makes it differ from country to country. Two things can be accurate at the same time.
@@NanaAshanti you’re correct gas ⛽️ prices in America vary from state to state. California prices are higher than Tennessee for example I pay 1 dollar more per a gallon in California than when I am in Tennessee because California levies heavy taxes on gasoline. The stock market set the per barrel base price. OPEC can attempt to drive the price by increasing or decreasing production but that has been minimal because of the new Canadian oil sands and America and Russian domestic production increases after the 2008 crisis.
"paying the police off" LMAOO!
It's a realllll expense 😆😆😆🤣
Yeah being in Ghana it was more like 500 a week honestly . Thats because I had business related expenses. Probably for personal expenses it was abt 1000 a month.
It takes some adjusting to, honestly. After a couple years, you stop buying Pringles and just switch to plantain chips. 🤣🤣😆
Thanks for sharing.
@@NanaAshanti lmaooooo ultimate facts. This girl said from Pringles to plantain chips ⚰
Chale. E no easy laidat!!!!
At 11:20 Did she say paying the police off ?
Did she? 👀
She sure did. 👎
Please are you forgetting electricity and water???
No, Maude. As I said I pay it annually so it doesn't fall under my monthly expense. Hope this helps 🙏
If a person is into farming then the person does not have to live in Accra.
No one has to live in Accra by the way. I'd move out too if anywhere else was enjoyable. Unfortunately, it's not so.
@@NanaAshanti, Enjoyment is relative. Everyone has a different take on what they define as enjoyment. It is not universal.
The population of Accra and the continuous influx says otherwise.
Money money money 💰
Y3p3 moneeeey, y3p3 moooooney!!!
How many people can get $500 a month in Ghana to be honest ????
Well, that's relative because some live with less than that & others above that so it's very subjective.
I pay monthly maintenance fee.
How much?

Ok.
Paying the police off??
You didn't hear it from me though 🙂
I come to overstand that no matter what you are still paying rent because I'm the majority of Ghana the land is only lease to you on a 50/99 year lease so you don't really own the land so I don't see the point of every one rushing there I know I will not live for ever but I don't like paying rent I don't know who god sold this earth to that you have to pay for everything and yes I am paying rent in Babylon
This is equal parts hilarious and untrue. When you do buy land or a house, SOME are leasehold. Some are freehold. Unless you plan on living for the next 99+ years, how are you still paying rent on property you OWN. Even in leasehold lands, under law, you have option for extension for the next generation. This is not America, Kojo. You do own the land, it just depends on how you acquire it.
@@NanaAshanti my dear Chech out what I am saying where in Ghana can you get free hold in Ghana unless you go to the villages I am ignorant at this moment in time pls put me in the dark because I am in the light at the moment???
My dear it's not true about the NHIS
No? What is the truth because honestly I have heard nothing but nightmare stories
When you go to NHIS accredited facility you may pay for generic drugs that are of foreign origin and may be some procedures and test that may not be in the facility remember not all private facilities are accredited
Buy a local car, Kantanka.
Do they have the supply to meet the demand? Are they affordable?
