This alarm lock is the best alarm lock that I have seen online. I am looking for one for my mountain bike. I think the lock looks a little bit weak and could be chopped somewhat quickly. However, the the alarm pager is the key feature that I'm looking for and it sounds like it has great range. I would use this lock along with my Krytonite new york noose. I thought about using one of those alarm padlocks but other people tend to ignore alarms and if I am inside and don't hear it, it is useless.
Thanks for the video. I ordered it from Amazon seller (powersport superstore). It is expensive but well worth it considering everything it does well. This is my favorite bike lock (more than my krytonite new york u-lock and new york noose) and I just hope that this alarm lock lasts a long time.
not hundred percent sure what you're asking, but it does sound like all the batteries should be replaced. The little handheld fog as it's called, the To your keychain is a remote activation or silencer for the bike alarm.
Still love this product I’m amazed it’s been over or right at nine years since I’ve made this video. Just have to replace the batteries every year or two depending on use. I love this thing and friends borrow it all the time. And then after borrowing it they definitely go get their own
The cable is really only used as a visual reminder to the owner that it's on the bike. The cable as I use it is different than suggested by the manufacturer. I used it to type my kickstand center stand and back will together so if any of its moved it would set the alarm off.
Thank you for the review, I'm thinking of picking this up for my bike as well. Any idea if it's possible to remove the key from the unit when the shank is removed? I'm just thinking it would be easier to store under the seat if the two pieces were separated
agree it is weak, I got it for the sound and the remote and the little extra time it would take someone to get it off. It would wake me in a hotel or camping. that is the only times I have ever put the alarm on my bike.
Hey, mine just came in, and I got a quick question if you wouldn't mind. Can I fully control whether the alarm lock is activated or not with my pager? As well, is it possible to have the alarm on the lock itself deactivated, but allow my pager to still receive a vibrate/alarm sound when the bike moves? Thanks!!
Hi there I have a quick question, so whenever I try to activate the lock it doesn't make any beeping sound at all, do you think it has to do something with the battery or am i doing something wrong? Also do you know what the key code is for. Thanks.
+Derskorpion85 Sorry I thought I have already applied to this, the yellow cable is strictly to inform the owner/Reminds the owner that it's attached. It can provide some additional security but not needed at all
Mr.. Huie, could you tell me what model you have? I recently just got mine but doesn't seem to work/look like yours. My pager doesn't have an antenna like your nor does it turn off from the pager if the lock goes off. The model that i have is S-808, product # 132245
+XxUrDaddyxX Could you send a photo of it to me? bullylocks.com/index.php/u-shaped/grip-lock.html from the link they have changed it a bit but looks in general what I have. the little antenna on the fob is a little different but in general looks the same

Just wanted to say thanks for making this. Your video is the only one on youtube.

That thing is LOUD (thanks for posting!)
Did the electronics last, do you still recommend, or get a simpler no fuss U lock

I found the Lock very good, you can reset it with the FOB. If the FOB goes off so does the lock there's no way to separate.

by putting a big flashy cord up to the handlebars, isn't that just inviting thieves to notice the lock and be able to cut it off right away?
I got one and it works perfectly

would it work without the yellow cable? I plan on using it for a ebike. how much does it weigh?
