we are getting about the same fuel economy. We have 120lt fuel and a 60Lt Water - always full. we get around the 1000km/tank. We also have a Throttle controller which seems to help. Probs more with the feel than anything but worth it.

great video mate very informative!! would you recommend the bt-50 as a touring vehicle? we are currently looking at a few different dual cabs

Yes, absolutely mate! We love our new one and our old one got us most of the way around Aus. There are very few downsides to the bt50 for the type of touring and camping that we do 😁

12.5L / 100 is not that bad considering all the crap hanging off it like a brick wall.

The bit missing is how fast were you going? I cruise at 80 - 90 kilometres per hour. At times I can get 10 litres/100, driving a brick 80 series with roof cage, towing a boat on 31.5 tyres. 80 kilometres is the magic number for fuel efficiency.

Modern vehicles really don't seem to be noticeably more efficient than my 30 year old vehicle, contrary to popular advertising

Correct because manufacturers like to lie through their teeth. I have new BT50 too
