    The Bushman fridge is a cheap Chinse fridge sold at an extortionate ripoff price. You can get the same frisge from the same manufacturer from Kings 4WD at less than half price with a substantially superior internal layout. Bushman fridges are only bought by highly gullible people that don't do any research on what they are buying.

    Unreal video man! You explained a heap, very helpful. I’ve been tossing up for ages which vent to go as well and was going to go the same vent as yours the only thing that made me second guess it was I heard if for whatever reason your door seal’s crack or bugger up apparently dust can get suck into your canopy via the damaged door seals.. so still unsure what to do there👍 thought maybe a small scupper vent but not sure👍 do you find the location of your vent good there? I thought if I did mine I’d have it closer to the front of the canopy, thoughts?

    Way too complicated. 6 litres per minute is too much consumption of water. Get an aqua cube by companion. Completely portable, no wiring, no gas lines and at a push or a button you're showering. . Uses 2 litres per minute.

    I went looking for a ute which I wanted a ute which I didnt need to touch for the rest of my life. As I went looking I saw the one I bought [ Dec 2023 ] which had rear wheel drive [ as I dont plan going off road ] C chassis 2 seater with Gal tray in metallic black, tinted windows, reverse camera...Never owned a diesel or a high ute previously...I added Bull Bar, spot lights, 140 liter fuel tank.......CONS radio is hard to get too till you touch some extra buttons to turn it on. Bluetooth wont allow you to ring when driving if NOT in speed dial. Incoming calls are silent. Radio reception is barely passable. Glove box too small......Pro's New ute.

    The issue I see is that Lovells have "tested" the axle and they say it can carry more than the vehicle manufacturer has set as a limit for the maximum. So if the axle breaks the manufacturer will not warranty the vehicle as it will be overloaded as per thier weight limit. Will Lovells cover you if it does fail? then you are stuck like a rubber band between the 2 and you are not going to win in this situation.

    Did the GRR back in 2012 with a camper trailer all the way up to Kalumburu. Planning to do it again with the same old trailer again next year. Always carry two spares and a highlift jack! I had two blow outs in one day on the car. Couldn't get the jack under the axle without the highlift. Your advice and tips were very good and helpful. Thanks

    Could you get a Hyundai iload van on the track, or is it definitely 4WD only

    • @Seaustravl
      @Seaustravl 2 місяці тому

      I would say no, purely because it is extremely rough at times, unless you have some all terrain tyres and some upgraded suspension. We didn’t necessarily put the car into 4L much but it’s more the capability of the tyres, suspension etc :)

    • @andrewretsas5589

      @@Seaustravl So the first time that I did the GRR about 20 yrs ago was in a front wheel drive Mitubishi Magna Station wagon towing a 4x3 trailer, all on road tyres. Mad of course cos I knew no better and that was all I had. Have since done it 4 times in Jeep Wrangler JKU Rubicon. A 4WD with height, AT (at least) tyres, with reduced pressure, down to about 20psi, and a relatively slow speed r the key elements of doing the GRR safely, without dramas. I took between 4 and 6 days each trip. Road conditions change on a daily basis. The only certainties r the corrugations, dust & noise. All good advice in the video... stick with it and u will get through wherever you want, safely and without too many issues.

    IN AUSTRALIA, used a woman;s queen size pantyhoses over the air filter so the fine particles of dust didnt make it into the air box to the throttle body, and also on the snorkel place a piece of the same pantyhose over the opening. the usa military swears by this to help save the life of the engines in desert storm,? one more thing to think about , a K&N air filter (WATERPROOF ), a simply cleaning and it new again, remember to wipe vasoline on the rubber seal to making sure no water can get in the airbox in the engine compartment, vasoline can be used on all rubber seal of the windows, doors, covers anything to preventing water from coming in!

    looking at your side doors on the back camper , i would place 1 solar on each door, when setting up at your camp site opening the door make for the solae panels find the sun and the sun rays to produce heat for the solar panels to work, also during the time of travel these same panels will absorb the sun rays n continue to produce power to the batteries, word of caution, installing a cover acrylic material used on military truck to protect the side of the truck in roads with trees,bushes , not to the scratch the panels , allowing the panels to work freely, . one of my partners even placed a solar panel on the engine hood cover for extra solar power,?
