Good thing I am grilling some hamburgers for supper in an hour or so, because the breakfast and then the bun have me salivating! I have to agree with Phil Lee's comment about the stability of the sawbuck - the slight looseness of it seems to help with using it on uneven ground. Remember, it is a bushcraft build, not a workshop build. Nice design and functional. As always, stay safe!

This video and the one from Simon made me surch for a dutch oven. I've got one now like Simon. A baby dutch oven. You used some bottem protection and baking paper. Great tip. I use a 12 cm Zibra inner Billy can pot with some little stones under it. Works great too. That Cross Bun...that's gona be my next one. Yam! :-D Thanks !

Well, I might have been happy with some of my cooking whilst it and about recently but that looked gorgeous! Proper baking (instead of playing with bannock, like I do) always impresses me. It's not easy at home with an oven! I guess that's all part of the fun though. Thanks for taking us along and sharing! Chris.
Looks bloody tasty. In the late summer/early autumn i reccomend revisiting that recipe and adding some chopped chestnuts into the mix as well as using tea as a binding liquid. I make a chestnut loaf every year when the chestnuts come into season and it always goes down a storm

Your dough looked great then you added the fruit. Then, you added the glaze! Who brings a brush in the woods? Also, thank you for demonstrating that you don't need the $17.99 USD lid lifter on your Dutch oven! That was a great example of stewardship by showing that you put the fire out.
