  • Bali grocery shopping with prices. Follow me as I take you around a supermarket in Bali and show you how much it really costs. It can be cheaper if you go to a local food market, however in this vlog i show you what it’s like to shop at supermarkets here.
    The conversions are from IDR to USD. Please keep in mind that these prices may vary. Check out the rates for exact conversion.
    P.s I also don’t mention what it’s like to shop as a vegan or vegetarian here. I’m sure there’s plenty of information out there on these topics.
    I hope you enjoy, please feel free to leave a message in the comments section below if you have any questions :)
    Supermarket we visited: Tiara Gatzu: Jl. Gatot Subroto Barat No.567, Kerobokan Kaja, Kec. Kuta Utara, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80361, Indonesia

    What do you think of the food prices in Bali? I find it affordable, but i definitely missed eating cheese and muesli :D

      I think the food prices are generally a lot cheeper than nz. Expecially eating out. Here I have to look at menu prices and order according to budget. In bali I pick what I want because I know I can afford it. I miss the magenta dragon fruit and bintang.

      @@kiwijohn9250 Yes, we felt the same. It's a great feeling to look at the menu and not feel guilty for ordering too much food 😀 Bintangs our fav beer!!

    Indonesia is a tropical country and like many tropical countries we dont really consume dairy product. Those local "cheeses" you get in stores arent truly cheese and all the good quality cheeses are imported thats why theyre really pricey.

      Yes true! Anyway so much other good food in Indonesia It makes it worth while 😊

    I cringe when I see there are still produce wrapped in plastic. I LOVE the banana leaf wraps. So pretty and eco friendly. I hope they stop the plastic altogether! Thank God no more plastic bags at the cashier

    I love going to markets and supermarkets in the countries I'm visiting, even if we don't cook four ourselves as it really let you see popular local things people eat. I made the mistake of not weighing my stuff in Indonesia before paying, but thankfully the woman was really nice about it and the stupid foreigner didn't phase her!

    Very informative video about Bali but I think it is a very expensive market not cheap. I am from Pakistan when I compare the prices my country is very cheap

    • @LanaTiare
      @LanaTiare  3 роки тому

      Thank you! It’s a grocery store so the prices may be more. If you want the best price in Bali you can visit a local farmers market.
