Bali is an amazing place to eat - there are so many incredible dishes, and the unique Balinese culture paired with the food is what makes it so special. In this Indonesian street food tour of Bali, I’m taking you to 6 street food stalls / restaurants in a row, for serious food lovers!
Warung Nasi Bali Men Weti - Some consider this legendary stall, right along the ocean to be the best Balinese local street food spot in Denpasar, Bali, and after eating it, there’s absolutely no room for argument. The plate of food you’ll be served is nothing short of spectacular, full of Balinese flavor.
Price - 25,000 IDR ($1.83) per plate
Warung Mak Beng - Known for their fried fish set, Warung Mak Beng is another legendary Balinese restaurant. Their fish was amazing, both the fish head soup and the fried fish, and not forgetting their amazing sambal. Another must eat when you’re in Bali.
Price - 45,000 IDR ($3.29) per set
Sate Plecing Arjuna - This is a place you come to eat sate plecing, a type of Indonesian street food sate that’s covered in a shrimp paste chili sambal. They were incredibly delicious as well, especially the samel.
Total price - 68,000 IDR ($4.98)
Sate Babi Bawah Pohon - In Bali, pork is very common, and this is probably one of the most well known Indonesian street food stalls in all of Bali. For me the pork sate was a little on the sweet side, however it was still pretty tasty.
Price - 25,000 IDR ($1.83)
Babi Guling Pak Dobiel - When it comes to Balinese food, there’s nothing more famous to try than babi guling, Balinese style roast pig served with all the side dishes. It’s spectacular combination and you’ll find dozens of restaurants serving babi guling. In this Balinese food tour I went to Babi Guling Pak Dobiel, and it’s the best plate of babi guling I had in Bali.

Warung Kintamani - Ubud - Finally, to finish off this Balinese food tour, we headed back to Ubud and Made, took me to eat mujair nyatnyat, tilapia in a curry sauce. It was awesome delicious, a perfect way to end this Indonesian street food tour of Bali.

Mark, I really enjoyed this episode Whether its intentional or not, I really like the way you and Trevor James' travels and vlogs complement each other. Your appreciation of SE Asia is terrific, and Bali looks wonderful. In a former life I would have spent too much money on a fancy resort - but I think traveling and dining like you have in this episode and many others is the way to really relax and experience the culture!

INIRAH CHARAN when I first started watching about 2 years ago it drove me crazy. I wanted to tell him to stop he looked rediculous. But then after I continued to watch his videos I could tell he wasent acting. They were real reactions. Now I can tell when he don't really like a dish so much. He has like a little shake if his head instead of the big one with the wow. I love his videos. It's not surprising that he has over a million followers. I wish he would do s state to state traditional food voyage here in America. I'm curios if each state has a traditional food.

Hey Mark! Please don't miss Nasi Babi Guling Pak Malen! It's the best pork rice in town that's spicy and super flavorful--you'll absolutely love it! Also, look out for Sakala Beach Club in Nusa Dua. Super beautiful, amazing ambience, incredible Indonesian pizza and is right by the beach! Hope you enjoy Bali!
Miss J dobiel's much better than pak malen. Its more sophisticated in flavor. Im not sayin that pak malen's not good. Its still pretty good but its lil bit mainstream. I prefer dobiel than malen. Just my opinion tho. Have a good day

most of street food vendors and warung serve their food like that. even if you eat at a restaurant, you won't be able to actually know if their kitchen is clean or not or if they aren't using their hands directly to touch the food. Unless you go inside the kitchen everytime after you order your food to see the process. anyway, it's common to do it like that especially street foods in asia or probably in other region(never been to outisde asia).
that's right my friend. i'm a Filipino and i experience these kind of service and way of eating first hand. so it's not a big deal. it's a culture to keep. and as for wendy woodshed, i respect your opinion but like what Novi gyong said. if you don't like your food being touched, just keep it to yourself.

I actually eat at that place a lot, and he is not exaggerating. It tastes awesome and that "cucumber" adds a slightly sweet and refreshing taste to the soup. Instead of speculating why don't you try that dish whenever you are on holiday in bali?

There are way too many hit and miss places out there even if it's recommended. We all have different taste.
