*Although the movements are designed to maintain a neutral spine position, this general workout is NOT meant to replace treatment by a scoliosis-trained Physiotherapist, who can provide curve-specific exercises. If you're looking to prevent progression of your curve or address pain or other symptoms, please seek scoliosis-specific treatment and discuss any specifics of your condition with a medical professional who knows your situation.
I am sooo excited about finding you. I can finally exercise safely. Thank you so much for posting these. Please keep posting regularly. ❤
Thank you! Yes more to come, please keep sharing to help our channel grow so we can continue creating content!
LOVE your channel! Thank you for providing safe and challenging work.
Hi Lori - thanks for the kind words and the support! It really keeps us motivated to continue creating content. Any shares with your networks or healthcare providers would be sooo appreciated - please help us get the word out about these scoliosis-friendly exercises being available to anyone!
I've done this video 2 times now...after the first time, I was sore (not in my back, just in leg and arm muscles I'm not used to using like that), but it felt SO GOOD to do a cardio again!!! I'm planning on doing this one every other day, alternating with the core stability workout (with the full body warm-up video first before each workout). Thank you so much for these videos!!
Amazing! Love that you’re mixing and matching the workouts for your needs - that’s exactly what we intended! Make sure to add some strengthening ones in there too!
Would you be interested if we made monthly suggested workout schedules that had ideas of video combinations? We’re considering that feature as a membership option… would love to hear your thoughts!
@@TSCConnect Yes, that sounds like it would be very helpful to anyone with a membership. Personally, I tend to like to stick with a routine once I've found something I'm happy with, however sometimes I do like to switch things up and so I would definitely consider any recommendations as well.
Thank you for the suggestion you already gave to add a strengthening workout! I think I'll add the Weights/dumbells moderate workout to my routine. I think have to wait a week or so before I do this cardio workout again actually...I hurt my knee a bit last time (didn't realize it until later), but it's already feeling better after a few days' rest (I think I'll just have to ease up a bit until I get stronger -- maybe the weights video will help with that too!) I'm 50 years old and out of shape so need to pace myself, lol :)
Actually maybe I should probably start with the "BEGINNER" Dumbell video! Just saw that one now :)
Thank you. I’m 57 with scoliosis and kyphosis. Look forward to more work outs with lower impact options.
We have a full playlist with workouts that are all gentler in terms of impact and resistance and speed: ua-cam.com/play/PLpr1aOXw16npMQ-VycnLnroPcndSmwQVE.html
Hi there, would you recommend the lower impact versions for those with fusions? I've read that high impact exercise is not recommended post fusion.
It really depends on how your body responded to fusion, and how long ago the fusion was done. We know people who have had spinal fusion who do high level CrossFit and weightlifting, after they rehabilitated from the surgery and gained strength. Please ask your surgeon for specifics for your situation, however in general all of our workouts are in spine-neutral position so should be ok for post-op pending you get clearance from your surgeon.
Hi do you have someone you can recommend in Melbourne for helping my teen daughter who got scoliosis? Thanks!
Rebecca Harding and team at scoliosisphysiotherapy.com.au/ !
May you please do a video on KT TAPE use for scoliosis and kyphosis.
Thank you very much for the information. 🙂
The position and pattern of KT tape for scoliosis really depends on each persons curves - please see a trained Physio or healthcare professional who is familiar with scoliosis who can assess your curve and apply tape accurately.
does this help with weight loss too?
if not is there anything that will help? ❤
Our channel doesn’t focus on weight loss or any particular esthetic outcome, rather we aim to promote movement to gain strength and function in your body. Weight and body composition are also influenced by many factors such as genetics, activity level, diet, sleep, stress levels, and more.
I do this every day, thank you so much! I am not a very active person but your videos are helping me a lot. My curve is 34 degrees thoracic and I must maintain it (it grew these past 2 years). Trying my best💖
Wonderful to hear this workout is helpful. Do you have a Schroth-trained therapist in your area? If your curve is changing it’s important to get curve-specific treatment if you’re able to
@@TSCConnect hello, i do have my own routine given to me by my therapist, although i also implement your videos into my daily workouts. my curve started to grow after i had stopped wearing my brace since i was done growing (i wore it for 10 years). I hope it will not get worse
