SPOKANE, WASHINGTON | A few things we LOVE about Spokane (fall edition🎃)

- ⏰Spokane is Washington’s second biggest city. Full of outdoor adventures, great food, and friendly people, Spokane shouldn’t be missed on your Washington road trip. We started our time in Spokane along the Spokane Riverfront seeing the Spokane Falls, famous Radio Flyer Wagon, before heading over to The Flying Goat for lunch for some of our favorite pizza in the country! After lunch we grabbed a huckleberry milkshake at the famous Mary Lou’s Milk Bottle and then headed up to Mount Spokane for a little hike and sunset at Mount Spokane. Our second day in Spokane started at Indaba Coffee before heading up to Green Bluff to visit some of Washington’s famous apple orchards and sample Pumpkin Donuts at High Country Orchard. We had a wonderful time exploring Spokane, Washington and highly recommend visiting this wonderful mid-size city if you ever find yourself in the area!

Have you visited Spokane, Washington? If so, what places did we miss during this trip that we should add to our list for our next trip to Spokane? Let us know in the comments below! :)
Come next spring and try kayaking the Little Spokane River.
The Navy/Marine Corps Reserve Center off North Assembly Street. :D
Seriously, Churchill's Steakhouse.
Skyway Cafe!
Be sure to check out Manito Park (conservatory, Japanese garden, pond, rose garden, lilac garden, Duncan garden). Also, Old European for the best breakfast/brunch.
Other places to check out in Eastern Washington: Palouse Falls, Steptoe Butte, Gardner Caves in Crawford State Park (Boundary Dam too if they start tours again). A little further away in Idaho, check out the bald eagles at Higgins Point in Couer d'Alene (seasonal in the winter...be sure to stop by Meltz when in CdA... Best "grilled cheese" sandwiches in the country), Hiawatha Bike Trail and Wallace, Idaho (in the summer).
Or come try the drugs and hang out with the homeless they will tell u how great it is there
As someone who lives in Spokane, I often forget to see the beauty of this town through ALL of its Craziness… thank you for this reminder!
Yes i agree!!
Because there is not crazy anywhere else.
Born and raised and I love spokane and its beauty. People who say they hate this city. It's the people they associate with not the city itself and to be honest they can leave, spokane has gotten huge since I was a kid and we don't need assholes populating it.
So true I always forget til I go out and drive around such a beautiful place
Cool to visit I’m sure, but living here let’s you in on all the ugly everywhere
It's crazy how tourists come and say how amazing spokane is, while I'm sitting here like, "I went to finch elementary, I grew up 2 blocks from the flying goat for 15 years." And not even thinking anything special about it.
'When you go visit a place, you see everything. But, when you live there, you hardly go to anything.' We do have lots of unique little places in Spokane. Maybe take a look at the newspaper or The Inlander? See an event that you've never been to? Go and check it out. That's how I started with attending science fiction conventions back in the mid-1970s, lol.
I totally understand that. I didn’t appreciate it until high school.. and some of my friends hate it. It is definitely a place you have to leave when you graduate to avoid staying for the rest of your life. But there’s a lot of things I appreciate about it.. locals are really nostalgic, you can get most places, depending on where you live under 15 minutes, and it’s very walkable, imo.
End there too!!!
Went there too!!!
I went to finch too lol 🤟
It always cracks me up when people move here (especially before the Internet) & they always thought it was going to be some Hicksville! But they are always very Happily Amazed at how wrong they were. I've been here my whole life, it's like a Big City with a small Town feel. I've always loved the 4 season's & Spokane definitely has all 4 seasons!
Ah yes, having all 4 seasons is the best!
Do you ever see the sun in winter ?? I’ve been looking at Spokane’s weekly weather and it maybe showed sun with clouds a few days
@@BeastModeFitness11 yeah, we can. But mostly cloudy and cold. Winters can be very harsh here (which is by far my favorite season), but so are summers. Summer is constantly hot and almost always sunny. Tbh, I dread the summers here, I cant stand constant sunshine and dry heat lol spring and autumn feel really short here too

I've lived most of my life in Spokane and only recently moved to Tennessee. This video came into my feed on a day when I'm feeling a bit homesick. Also I really miss NW coffee...
I lived in Spokane most of my life and moved to Tennessee 3 years ago. I'm not looking back.
Interesting I live in Tennessee but I'm not from Tennessee and I hate Tennessee. Considering moving to Spokane, I personally think I'll like it much better than the city I'm in.

Love all the highlights! We're so glad you enjoyed your time in Spokane. We'd love to partner again on your next visit!
We absolutely loved our time there, thank you! What a fun city to explore. We will definitely be in touch next time we're in the area!
Born and raised in Spokane, it's so cool to see others enjoying it!! My childhood here is definitely a huge part of my love for the season & everything fall themed
Hopefully we did your hometown justice! It was such a fun place to visit!
You should drive up 395 to Colville and Kettle Falls and ten you can get onto SR20 and head to Seattle through the North Cascades. There is (usually) a Corn maze in Colville at this time, a great BBQ place in Kettle (Backyard BBQ) and then the wonderful scenic drive across SR20 that goes past Diablo Lake and Gorge Dam and can take you all the way to I-5.
Shhhhhh, don’t tell everyone how great it is here!
How was winter weather does the sun ever come out ??
Okay also The Milk Bottle is literally the BEST!!! Family favorite it’s actually a tradition in our family homemade EVERYTHING!
living just down the street from the milk bottle and getting to go there every few weeks is awesome
Glad to see the east side of the state getting some air time.
Yeah!!!! Spokanite right here!! It has a lot of beauty here in spokane!! I've lived here all my life, but I haven't seen everything it has to offer. I love Atticus coffee it's really good and I love going to Boo Radley's. Green Bluff is amazing! Always went there every year growing up. I'm so happy to see someone else enjoying the city I was born and raised in.
Your city is so fun to visit!
Love Atticus Coffee- gift shop is awesome! My kids love when we hit up Boo Radley's- Spokane is a wonderful place to live, imho
Do you ever see the sun in winter or always doom and gloom?
I’ve lived in Spokane going on five years now and have absolutely loved it ever since! You guys picked some of my favorite local places for sure and Spokane is definitely underrated for Washington as a whole. 😊
So glad to hear from a local that we picked the favorites!
Yup- my family and I moved here 3 years ago and love it immensely!

I’m an Italian-American dual citizenship and Flying Goat is hands down my favorite pizza place in the US. I get the Fairview every single time. The moment you mentioned you were going for pizza I started chanting “PLEASE BE FLYING GOAT” verbally.
It was AMAZING, probably the best pizza we've ever had!
I thought the pizza from The Flying Goat was terrible. Way overpriced. Selkirk is so much better. So is Pete's. Bennidito's, DiNardi's, and McClain's are better also.
@@gilbertlopez742 I love DiNardi's, but it seems like we have very different taste in pizza. DiNardi's is New York style, and Flying Goat is Neapolitan style. Did you try the Fairview at Flying Goat?
@@chrismarinohardin9929 No I haven't. What's on it?
Is it bad that I've lived here for 20 years and have never even heard of these places? I mean, I live out by Geiger, so maybe 8-10 miles southwest of spokane, but I dont do much in the city. For the first time ever, I went to Manito Park last summer lol as far as restaurants, I dont eat out often
Spokane goes to my list of favorite places. 💗
I've lived in Spokane all my life, but there's still something about river front park that always feels magical, even after all the "renovations". it's no where near the same as when i was a kid, but still great

You gave my memory's of spokane back😢😮😊
Yes, we just moved here and love it! Such a great city to live in
How has winter been ? How many sunny days has there been??
Hi Chris and Sara, thank you so much for sharing such a beautiful video. Congrats and greetings from Colombia.
Spokane is awesome! I moved here for school at 18 and never left because it’s the best. Don’t move here tho. We want to keep it to ourselves. 😆
Do you ever see the sun in winter ??
You sound like the residents in Austin, TX. I don't think people are moving there in droves. Plus you're not originally from there, so I don't think you have the authority to say that.
Spokane is my hometown. After a few years of the Seattle freeze, I am ready to get back to a kind loving world. I laughed and cried when you mentioned it. I would suggest going on a First Friday event. Lots of art all over the place and a great way to get to know the local scene. You guys did a great job on the video!
Oh that event sounds so fun! We will have to check it out on our next visit! Thank you for watching!
Agree I'm in the Portland area, it's not as blatant here but still pretty similar experience.

I live here how cool to see an outsider perspective of my home ❤️
That's awesome, hope we did it justice!
Do you ever see the sun in winter or always doom and gloom?
Don't forget the River Park Square mall and the endless skywalks, Manito Park (a must see particularly the Japanese garden and rose garden), The Japanese Mukogawa U.S. Campus, Cat Tails, the famous Tomato Street, The Northwest Seed and Pet on Sprague Ave., Dicks Hamburgers, The Museum with the tour of the old mansion, Cliff Drive (amazing view of city), The Davenport Hotel (The original famous building), and the gondola with views of the falls. On a side note, Coeur 'd Alene Id is only 20 minutes east, across the Idaho state line and they have the (MUST SEE) C'dA Resort and the Lake. Also during the summer there's Silverwood 30 minutes north of C'dA. Lastly and as a side note: Spokane is a great place to visit but after 22 years of living in that hell I finally got out. So go visit, don't move there. It's a great place to live if you are a medical pro as there are plenty of medical jobs but the rest of the job market is abysmal at best, most of the city is dirty, crime ridden, has a large supply of homeless, drugs, and the cost of living has skyrocketed in recent years with the income not rising to meet the demand. Get in, have fun and get out while you can.
Does the sun ever come out during winter months ???
@@BeastModeFitness11 Actually, Spokane has higher than average sunny days. Though it will be dark at 4:30pm during the shortest winter days.
@@generalcaeser9176 is it dangerous.. as in you could get targeted and robbed in the wrong neighborhood like Chicago? Or is it more just dirtiness and petty crime like vandalism?
@@templeguard1276 There are some neighborhoods you just don't go to especially at night but other than that, it's way safer than Lightfoot's Chicago. It has higher than average petty crime and even murders but on a much lower scale than nasty Chicago. If you can afford a house over $350k (in today's market) and know the places to avoid, you can live pretty safely. As beautiful as it is, it's super dirty and loads of bums, meth heads and more than it's fair share of nuts. But then again after living in a fast paced city for 22 years, I've been blessed to be out of it and into a peaceful, small, more affordable, and much safer environment. I'll take the Mayberry small town livin' any day. =)
I've lived in spokane my whole life I loved that you described it like this glad you like my city^-^

Great recommendations, thank you!
