Sounds great. And reminds me I need to work on my picking. As a new player, it's easy for me to get stuck in a clawhammer rut. It's so easy and sounds good.
I hear you, and I agree. Learning picking styles definitely gives you all the more utility as a banjo player regardless of the style. I highly recommend learning both picking and clawhammer techniques simultaneously, even from the beginning. They inform each other greatly, so it isn't as hard as it sounds.
I hear the happy sounds of a steamtrain in this one .. 😊
Just found this video again and wish I could like it a 2nd time

Damn! Now that's an old time groove. Kinda gives me Doc Boggs feels
Love the technique...sweet looking banjo!
Nice use of harmonics. Dig the sound.

Awesome tune man.
You’re killin’ it.
Cool playing and cool banjo! I've been playing bluegrass for 3 years and I started learning clawhammer yesterday
Cool man good luck!
Amazing!!! As always!
Thanks so much again!
wow hope I can manage to learn this someday. I love how it sounds to slide down a note instead of up, super underutilized in banjo music
Very nice tone!
Oh boy, it turns on )
That is truly awesome. Great tune.
I'm just about to make a mountain banjo... Think it'll be a while till I can play like that though! 👍🏻👍🏻
Dig it ;-)
