I've had my Logitech yoke for four years now and I've been thinking of replacing it. It still works well, but flaring the A2A Comanche with it is difficult. A2A have their own sensitivity settings, so maybe I need to fine tune this. Whatever the case, I am very much interested in the setup video you will be posting. Who knows, maybe I'll rediscover my old friend! And I'll surely have a look at the panels! Tx for taking the time to share your thoughts and experiences!
Mine is 10+ years old and looks exactly like this one. It is still working perfectly. I was sort of waiting for it to break and I was going to go with the Honeycomb Alpha-Bravo-Charlie setup...but it has just kept going and going. I have a big investment in the Logitech options with two throttle quadrants, rudder pedals, multi-panel, switch panel and radio panel now.
Great video. Just picked up this yoke and throttle setup second-hand a few days ago. Still learning all the features but videos like this help! New Subscriber here!
WARNING - The Logitech flight yoke system is not compatible with X-Plane 12. I can forward the email from Logitech that says so, to anyone who asks. Logitech blames X-Plane, and X-Plane won't even discuss the issue.
@@StreagleEagle I don't know. The elevator and aileron controls work, but the throttle system doesn't work with X-Plane 12. I don't know why something would work with an older software version and not with a newer version.
I much prefer the CH Products yoke even though it is more poorly constructed. As a longtime real world pilot I hated the strong centering spring in pitch.on the Logitech. It felt very unrealistic. This makes trimming in pitch very difficult. I also have a Honeycomb and a Yoko and they do not have the detent like the CH Products yoke. For $150 CH offers a more realistic feel. Smart people will wait and save a few more bucks for the Honeycomb Alpha.
Thanks for commenting, I find your own videos very informative. I never had the pleasure of trying the CH Yoke, but I can confirm that the Honeycomb XPC yoke is well ahead of the competition in terms of precision and handling.
@@Huddison I enjoy your content as well. The Saitek yoke was my first yoke when I started simming and almost gave up because if trimmed in the landing flare when minute forces are needed to hold off the airplane as speed decreases that centering spring made it almost impossible to do right. Then at AirVenture Oshkosh A2A had a booth with a CH yoke to demo their planes and it flew like a real airplane. I continued simming. Unfortunately the same guy who designed the Saitek (Logitech) yoke also designed the Turtle Beach yoke and it has the same strong centering detent. I spoke with the CEO about it and they may have fixed it but my early version had the issue. I guess you can get used to it but for real life pilots it isn’t natural feeling.
I just bought a logitech set, but for younger people like me it is a smart option since you can get a whole set (yoke, rudder throttle) for the same price as just a honeycomb yoke. Even though i would like a honeycomb yoke because it is just better, im more worried about saving up for flight school etc, same with a few other people
I’ve not had any problems with my Logitech yoke. I’ve had it for 3 years and really like it. I also have the multipanel and really like it, and the Logitech pedals. No problems with any of them.
Hi thank you for this video. Im new to flight simulator. Would this work with the 2024 version? Would you recommend this or the turtle beach. I currently use a hotas 1
I still have mine, but it's now retired to its box as I went with a Honeycomb Alpha & Bravo setup. I just added the Thrustmaster TPR pedals. The cherry on the cake. But nothing wrong with the Logitech Yoke. A workhorse, built like a tank. I have 8 of their FIP's, 2 x Radio stacks, multipanel, and switch panel. All great gear. I now have it all working together in a dedicated Velocity flight panel.
If in fsx,yes because fsx has auto rudder settings and you can steer the plane on the ground and fly with just the yolk.dont know about the other flight Sims though
Sadly, mine is not that smoot which made it very difficult in learning to fly. I want to find out how to make it smoother . In the meantime, I switched to a stick and it made a huge difference to my flying. But I still want to go back to this yoke and so need to explore how to achieve that.
@@Huddison Electrical noise was excessive. If I held the yoke in a fixed position, I could see displayed yoke jittering left and right. Even hands-off, it would be jittering. The windows Joystick app would show values jumping around quite a lot. Not so with the Honeycomb. Logitech actually sent me a replacement and it wasn’t any better.
I really wish some clever developer could come up with some kind of interface to allow us to use all these great PC peripherals with Xbox. Surely it must be possible ? They would make a fortune. Take my $$$ !

Great to hear. Have fun with it!
Thanks for your review. I am a first buyer of a yoke system and bought this today with the switch and the multi panel for ~235€
Great deal; you'll have some fun times ahead ;)
Thanks man, gunna get one for my plane nut brother, this vid helped me narrow the search down to one! Cheers!

Im about to buy it too! It’s a good yoke system for a budged!
It's excellent for the price.
Just got a good deal for a set on Ebay. Really looking forward to using it in DCS. Cheers.

It was 'the' yoke to own back in the day & still great.
Did you order from logitech website? If so how long did it take to deliver? Ive ordered a set 2 days ago just looking for what to expect
so glad i have a 3D Printer cause im printing the boeing throttle mod right now and hopefully amazon hurries up and delivers my yoke!!!
Hope you receive it soon.

@Huddison sorry may I ask will the thrustmaster rudder pedals work with the velocity 1

Worth revisiting your Logitech Yoke, I'm enjoying my reunion with it currently.
@@Huddison That's why I'd love to be able to use it with my Xbox. Maybe one day.
Are you are synchron speaker from Red Deadline Redemption? with that voice you could easily sell miracle tonic in the Wild West 😂
Hey, job opportunities eh ;)
Does it Works on Simple planes
Like the Cessna etc? Yes it works fine.
Okay thanks, i didn't know if it would work.
Do you think it’s very durable, I was thinking of buying it used from CEX. I know CEX check the functionality beforehand but worth an ask
Mine is still going strong after 4+ years.
Can you use the yoke as the rudder if you don’t have rudder pedals?
Not really, but you can plug in a gamepad and use the triggers as rudders (it's what I used to do).
If in fsx,yes because fsx has auto rudder settings and you can steer the plane on the ground and fly with just the yolk.dont know about the other flight Sims though
But the rudder pedals added on will make it more realistic
What if you don't have the rudder pedals, how do you use rudder control?
I used to use my Xbox gamepad's Triggers as Rudders (before I was gifted Rudder Pedals by Aces).
Cool, so there's no way of having rudder contol then, without the pedals@@Huddison
@@global3dee968 You can either use keyboard keys or instead of having aileron trim, you can use that button as rudder
If in fsx there is auto rudder, not sure of other flight sims
I would buy the whole pack just to have it 😅😅
I just got mine and it makes a knocking sound when I push it in… is that a problem ?
Knocking sound in what sense?

Where lies the stickiness with your yoke?
Hello! How did you set the clock to work? Thanks.
It'll work on some, but not all of these yokes I'm afraid.
Hello, does it work on real flight simulator RFS?
That I'm not sure about; if it's run on PC it's likely.

100% it does - I've used it on my own Gaming Laptop.

The Logitech Throttle Quadrant works on Xbox via the Xbox Hub (although you'll need the XPC yoke); so it is possible.
@@Huddison I think it would be straightforward to make a hub like device that could connect PC-Xbox either way.
