    Wow thanks, I've always assumed this behaviour was normal, I just correct with rudder.
    Can you help please with a different issue? My yoke becomes unresponsive after a few minutes into the flight, it'll come back on again when I unplug and replug the USB but would crash the pc at other times. I also have not been able to install the driver as the auto os detection on the website is only giving me the 32bit installer. I get the error message, "the installer is a 32bit find the 64bit and install" or something like that. Its been working fine for the past 3 years I've bought it, just started with the UK update of MFS2020

      @@Huddison Ok so i changed my deadzone to copy yours from the video you made and that made a big difference to my yoke and i like the feel of that. Now, i went into the device settings menu for the yoke and noticed the red line on my axis were lining up perfectly without needing to change it; it wasn't flickering, so since then i have had zero issues and my experience is a lot better.
      Now, i've been thinking about why it would suddenly correct itself without needing to adjust the sliders in your video here, and the only thing i did differently was that i plugged my throttle quadrant into the yoke BEFORE i plugged the yoke into my PC usb. I'm wondering if plugging the yoke into your PC first and then inserting the throttle into the yoke somehow interferes with the yoke calibration.

    I did this video and it worked amazingly for DCS then I went and put WD-40 because it was sticking and that deleted all of my drift so it would send me over to the left and crash me so I had to kill all of the dead zones LOL but seriously add some lubricant or oil it says it in the user manual and it is certainly worth the try.

    ok so firstly this is normal for propeller aircraft! it isn't drift its torque from the direction the prop moves! However the Logitech pro flight yoke does have an issue with the USB where only the ailerons will slightly be out of alignment and the only way to resolve it is to unplug your USB and plug it back in.

  • @IndianArma

    on the runway you need to give a left rudder correction to counter for p factor, and that has nothing to do with the aileron as you have no aileron authority until your speed builds up to at least 70 to 80 percent of your V!.

    The best, fastest, easiest and most uncomplicated way to fix the offset is... To unplug it until you hear the windows tone for disconnecting usb-device and plug it in again. It centers perfectly after the 2nd plug in and there's no need to play around with deadzones and shit. Somehow the first time, when plugged in to the pc - or even already plugged device when turning on the pc most of the time gives you a slight offset to the right. But before you start anything else just quick unplug and plug in again - 99% of the time it works instantly for me, 1% of the time I have to do it a second time.
    That's it. Problem solved!

    • @Huddison

    This "Drift" is actually perfectly normal and happens in real life. The reason for it is because the propeller pushes air down on the right wing and up on the left wing, and pushes on the right side of the rudder. It is also caused by the gyroscope of the prop.

    • @Huddison
      @Huddison  2 роки тому +1

      Yes true, but this throttle actually develops a physical drift over time.

      @@Huddison Well when you fly a plane for real, and you fully open the throttle (max power), planes with a prop on the front in the middle creates a slipstream effect. The slipstream air will hit the left side of the rudder causing the plane to yaw to the left. This is why you get nagged with "right rudder, right rudder, right rudder" :D. You can google Left-Turning Tendencies of an aeroplane or slipstream yaw. It might explain it better than I can.

    Mine is really weird. The controller has a built in dead zone that's always MILES off centre, usually about 5~10 degrees to the left it hits a hardware dead zone, while windows always shows it centring about 10 degrees to the right. I unplugged it's extra power socket, and the left right axis reset to perfectly centre, HOWEVER, the pitch axis went insane. I plugged the extra power back in and everything reset to centre, even the hardware dead zone.
    I expect it to fall out of centre again. It's just interesting that the extra power port to power its internal USB hub has such a dramatic effect. I'm actually thinking about not using its internal USB hub for anything (currently I'm using it for the autopilot panel) as it seems to be super sensitive to power draw.

    • @Huddison
      @Huddison  2 роки тому +1

      It is quite strange that the usb hub on the yoke is so sensitive; I rarely use it.

      So, it gets even more annoying.

    Is this not called propeller walk, it's an actual effect of the propeller pushing the the aircraft in the direction of the spinning prop! Ie if the prop is spinning clockwise, then the aircraft moves to the left as being "pushed" over by the spin force. IF the drift is in the opposite direction, ie prop spinning clockwise and the aircraft drifting the the left. THEN that is a drift issue with the yoke. Looking at your video the prop is spinning clockwise and aircraft moving to the right..

    • @Huddison
      @Huddison  3 роки тому +1

      No it's definitely a yoke drift issue: check later in the video, the aileron alignment is slightly off in the yoke properties.
