Being in Florida how worm do you keep your work area.? When you paint.

my studio is climate controlled, being part of the main house. My inventory and such is usually in my garage until I bring it in the studio. I might usually let it acclimate to the space for a day. If it is really hot, I would let your pieces get cooled down before you put any paint on it.

Can this be used over dry latex paint?

that's a great question. It's worth a shot on a small section. Especially if it is a smooth finish and not a lot of brush strokes. You would need to still seal the chalk paint once applied.
