- This is how I make my Thousand Island Dressing. I elevated my salad by serving the dressing on lettuce wedges. Great idea for your next dinner!

My wife has claimed Meme for her own! She lost her MeMaw last year and this channel has helped her to not miss her quite as much! I didn’t have a grandma growing up and when I watch y’all I know what I missed. I am 76 years now and live with my son and daughter-in-law. I have made a couple of recipes of yours and they have gone over well! And now I don’t feel so useless doing so! Thank you Ms. MeMe!!

I lost my Grandma in 2012. She and my Grandpa were my biggest cheerleaders. I feel lost sometimes without them. Thank you for allowing us into your home so we can soak up some love that we've lost! ❤️
Best recipe I've seen yet for 1000 island! Do you know, I had never heard of wedge salad until many, many years ago when reading a favorite author's newest book. The heroine was dealing with morning sickness, could not keep anything down, when she had to go to lunch with her ex. Not wanting him to know her condition, she was dreading it because she hadn't kept anything down. They served her a wedge salad and she ate it with gusto. I was left wondering what this magic salad was. Well, color me tickled that it's literally a wedge of lettuce with dressing and fixings just like you show here! I love them now! When I don't feel like making a salad with all the fixings in it, I just do a wedge.
I love that story! It is a good way to make a quick salad!
She reminds me of my granny, always had a spread ready by 6 am. She was born in the 1800's. Amazing cook, both of them
I've never had a wedge salad but you sure make it look so good! I'm going to try this tonight for supper with some baked chicken to go along with it.

First time I ever heard of, or had a wedge salad was at a Denny's Restaurant. That had to have been 30+ years ago. I thought what a great idea. Have no idea if they still offer it on their menu. It's been a number of years since I've lived where Denny's would be. Haven't thought about them much until I saw them on one of your previous videos. Now that you've given the 1,000 Island dressing recipe, I'll have to make them. OH! Do you ever make Cobb Salads? I'd love to see your version of a cobb salad. Seems there are so many. Ohhhhh almost forgot I made some of your Dishes up in Virginia. They were a hit, the younger children loved helping me make your Fluffy stuff recipe they were so excited. Ages 10, 7 & 5. They LOVED IT!.

We made homemade French dressing too. If I recall, it was Dukes, yellow mustard, ketchup, onion salt and some garlic powder.
