10 years ago I would solo lvl5 missions in a pithum A-type passive shield Ishtar until I trained up an alt to assist with a thanatos. was hella intense to manage both accounts and spam the scanner. An orbiting ishtar w/sentry drones 100km away with 80% resitance was a great combo. I'm back now and so much is changed.

Back back back waaaay back in the day I did the same thing in a passive myrm. Was amazing. The myrm could passive tank almost as good as the drake could. To this day I still believe the Myrm was originally meant to be a shield boat.
i prefer a 100mn armour tanked version, the extra mids give it more tracking and speed and it can tank any site because of the insane speed on orbits. I've never understood why panfam and winterco always use shield ones, armours just seems better in every way.
@@Zetsubou_shita more ddas? Armour ishtars have 4ddas aswell. Except they have a speed rig and several tracking mods, and their resist are better suited to drones anyways cus of em resists.

But, alas, I just spent a 130 comment reddit post trying to convince people so, and nobody listened, so you may aswell continue using your shield fits.

Whilst the code of SMT does not appear have any obviously hostile API calls in its code, it does use authed ESI API access which a tool of this nature shouldn't need given that all universe and systems information APIs are open and don't require auth. Authenticate your characters at your own risk. Not saying there is a risk but why the app is using authed APIs isn't clear.
you do not need to login in toons to the api it reads the text in your game logs also this apps maker is also an eve partner for what that is worth to you

Just a reminder to people not to auth their characters to things that don't have a clear and obvious reason for requiring said access. More of a PSA than anything else.

You mentioned a new increase in the Bounty Risk Modifier, is this a new increase? Or the one that took place some time ago (~1 year). Also, what kind of ticks are you looking at? You said the Ishtar pays for itself in 20 ticks or so. That seems like a lot.
the uprising patch or the one just before raised the floor from 60% to 100% looking at 9-16m isk ticks 20 ticks is about 6.7 hours a short roi for something thats so afk and reproducable if you run 4-5 of them you wont lose more then one at a time
L4s have different engagement rules for the NPCs. They will occasionally shoot your drones and sometimes they stop aggro on the everything. I run the auto targeting module hot so that if that happens i waste no time in shooting those targets
Most of the time they will leave your drones alone. Sometimes they will attack them. It's mostly AFK though like he said. I have a similar build that's a bit more refined which improves drones speed and tracking.
So wait if you now get "ganked" being afk in null are you going to ask that null sec be more safe ? Asking for a friend we just wanna be ready for next patch let us know !
You have to join a corp that has like security and claim over territory on null sec. If you want, you can join my corp who has control of several system in the Scalding Pass

An incredible choice for an EVE Partner \o/ You once actually helped people enjoy eve by creating the single nergal fit for burners, or making cool level 4 missions. Now its afk ishtars with alarms for when someone may come blow up your ships. What a waste of a client being logged in.

Which means retreating into making this type of content imo. Its not about hating, its just ashame thats all.
I have a friend that works all day long from home. He uses this strat to make isk while working because it takes him 6 clicks to do it. Not all players want active isk making or to pay attention at their screen through out the game session. Eve is grindy as is and hateless here just provides solutions for everyone just like he provided us with the nergal fit before.
Encouraging players to afk activities is a floor lvl of content creation. Straight dislike v.v Is that some kind of angry bait vid - cuz I cannot believe you released that. Used to love 99% of your content

dont forget, if you lose your ishtar, you can submit a ticket to ccp to get it reimbursed
you can always file a ticket i wont tell you that you cannot however its very unlikely it will get reimbursed

shield ishtar have more ehp/s vs drone rats and more buffer tank and more slots for DDAs. But armor ishtar good for pvp bait.

How come the rats are not engaging the drones? I keep loosing drones on lvl 4 missions

Do you have to be apart of a nullblock to do this or can you noise filament into a quiet system and let it go?
Having blues around helps nor sure how long on average you will live doing it in hostile soace

It's a very common thing to do in nullsec most pilots fly a handful of them to fund there pvp it also puts ships in space to be targets
