- Join along as we get hit with the biggest snow storm of the season, with snow being over 2 foot in spots. Will the John Deere 7520 be able to handle the job of clearing the farm prior to the milk truck arriving? Thanks for watching
These kind of winter videos are important to educate a clueless public as to just what farmers have to endure so we have stuff to place in our microwaves and then shove down our pie holes. There's no "OFF" switch for cows and cattle, and man, do we get in a huff when the meat and dairy departments at the store run out of sausages and ice cream. Thanks for this revealing look into America's modern farm operations. You guys are true American patriots.
Trust me, these are not the types of videos those people are watching.
@@martin1234512345 Unfortunately, you're right.
Calm down farmer John no one cares. Or haven’t you been following the news.
Big shoutout to all the farmers out there workin' hard to make sure we have food to eat and milk to drink! 👍🌽 🐄 🚜
Food yes, milk no. Thats not for human consumption :P
I love how are you getting work.
We love how hard. You guys work and we love you

Yes, mostly immigrants now
Most people don’t have a clue what it takes to produce milk. This is a never ending job and cold weather just adds another dimension to the routine. Thanks to all farmers.
Farmers such as yourself are the life blood of this country. You keep this country going. Thank you...and stay safe!!
Appreciate that
You are so right, farming and ranching two different beasts. My friends that grew up on a dairy farm were always smelling fresh out of the barn and got up at crazy hours. School was a luxury as dairy is a tough business.
My dad was a rural WI milk truck driver for decades, winters were tough for him...snow was ok with all the rolling hills in Southern WI the ice was a much bigger issue. Tough job in the winter for sure.
Hats off to him, tough job
I'm in western WI, those milk truck guys have some guts. Some of the farms they go to have NO room for error.
@@JSAFIXIT You are right on! Winter time is white knuckles all the time for them.
That puppy " LOVES YOU SO MUCH " you can see it in Yenco's eyes , Chris ...
Glad that you don't go for the either before you start your rigs. Yenko is awesome! Thanks for bring us along.
Thanks for watching along
My uncle owned a milk truck company.I used to go farm to farm with my dad when i was ten.Loved it,used to get fresh milk from one our farmers, fresh cow milk is the best. Thanks for mentioning, brought back memories.
They put alot in to keep the process going
@@DuffyAg yes they do,sterilization is #1.Dairy farmers do a great job at all they do!
And hats off to the farmer, around the world, too. Thank you
Appreciate it most farmers don't hear that enough
i gree up on a dairy farm we only had like 15 20 head but still its alot of work in the colder areas .... stay safe thanks for feeding america
Your absolutely right, people dont know were there milk comes from. Yes the grocery store but also to the plant for processing. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO FOR ALL OF US 👍👍👍
I grew up on the farm and farmed for 26 years until I went broke. I fed 225 head of cattle as well but I sold them in December usually, so I had some time to enjoy the winter. The dairy requires you 24/7/365. My brother in law owned a dairy and was a veterinarian as well. The 2 demanding jobs was really hard on him. Much respect.
Thanks a lot for what you people do for the rest of us!!!!!!!!!
I appreciate that
Fun last week with my 520. Had to get a pull from a kubota. Pulling a big pile with my backblade i stalled out in the pile area. Went to restart and my starter blew up the bendix. Nieghbor was out of state but borrowed her tractor and mom helped give me a pull start. Got the starter repaired now just got to reinstall it. I have 320lbs on each rear tire and now 440lbs on the nose and tire chains and six foot blade. My loader is off since i damaged it and need to do major work to bring it back to new condition.
Love it when the dog climbs up in the cab .
Love seeing your dog in the videos.
Thanks for watching
I haul milk for a living in northern Wi, Very few Farmers could give a cr-p how I get in and out of there drive ways ,
Some mornings I can spend 2 hours just plowing my driveway to get the truck out
I have a few farmers like this man, He's a great guy !!!
Hat tip to all the farmers out there. Too many people think meat and dairy come from a grocery store. I racked hay and mowed straw when I was younger and learned so much from those farmers about truly earning a dollar with available time.
And to think my grandpa, who in retirement was a farm-hand, had to take John Deere driving school for the first generation articulated tractors
People definitely are disconnected from true ag now days. Thanks for watching
Beautiful tractor. I bet an absolute delight to operate.... I’m a bit different than some. I love operating that old equipment when it took some serious skill. Hats off my friend love your channel
It's a good time definitely takes a true operator to run it. Thanks for watching
we got 7'' here in Indiana I drive a dairy truck for a living appreciate all you farmers that take time to clean the roads definitely helps so much! hats off to ya!!
Makes it all smoother for sure. stay safe
@@DuffyAg thank you sir you to!
Thank you for all hard thing you do. Be safe. Pray for your family
Appreciate it and same to you
Ya, I like snow up until I have to move it. Then I have some choice words for it! Great video! Take care and God bless!
Thats for sure and thanks for watching
That's why I watch Andy farming fixing, he seems to do what you do ,stay safe.
Andy has a awesome channel
Love hearing those older John Deeres purr like a kitten
Diary men love winter and protecting cows from falling and pumping slurry in zero conditions. It’s not a job it’s an adventure. I’m an old timer as a kid milking we used pails and milk cans . Life was hard. First vacuum line installed “ Heaven on Earth”🤗🇺🇸
Nice to see someone working with older experienced iron not all the shiny new stuff. Real world. Dairy farming is hard, I moved on back in the 80's.
I help a buddy out plowing snow at schools. I ran a 908 cat for a couple of years with a 12' plow on it. Now I run a case 721 with a 14' box blade.
That engine on that Deere 7520 sounds so good.
It is a sweet sound
That's waaay more work then I could do. Hats off to you guys for all you do and the extra as well. 👍
We had a tractor just like this, but then my Uncle passed away and we sold the farm away. think everyday of that tractor, wishing I still had it.
I’m loving the amount of uploading lately! Keep up the good work and the amazing entertainment
Trying to keep it going. cant wait for warmer weather and really roll them out. appreciate the support
You're right I do enjoy snow. And I have not had to deal with livestock in my life unless you consider my two horses but that is a lot different than however many cattle you got. For me snow means recoveries. And recoveries means making someone else's day better
To help stuff start in cold weather, put warm air to the intake. Flexpipe off a vehicle exhaust works. Torpedo heater or some such works much better. Works better than ether, and doesn't hurt your engine.
Block heaters in ag equipment - gas or diesel - is better for us northern US farmers and ranchers when the Arctic weather moves in.
amazing watching a few midwest farmer's videos with their heated shops vs this. the difference between milk operations and the corn and bean operations.
Someday I dream of having a nice shop make my winters better
its nice to see you have allways your dog with you :-) Cheers from Denmark
Man am I glad that I live in the Waikato region in New Zealand hardly any snow in the winter.
Beautiful area, loved working in New Zealand
Amen on those who never worked in snow. I ran about 300 moms cows that I feed in the winter on a wet land. We never had a four wheel drive. We chained up and friends wanted me to go snowmobiling with them. Working all day in the cold and wet. I would tell them why would I pay money to get wet and cold?
right i have enough of cold and snow wouldnt want to be in it for enjoyment
I live in diary county Michigan school buses may not run but milk tankers do.County snow plows make diary priority 24/7🤗🇺🇸
There are I few videos I look forward to everyday and you are in the top 5 now
I appreciate that got big plans for content this year too
Liked you "I know I need wings". People who complain about it must think the government gives them out for free or something. They ain't. Good job working with what you have to get the work done!
I agree with you on the cat skid steers. I operated a track one and it isn't much better. Plus the cabs are so closed in and tight. Takeuchi or kubota make a great roomy skid steer
Hello, like your videos, like the cold start on the Old girl, you guys sure got some snow this year, I live up in Oswego county we been lucky so far.
Thanks for watching and we sure do 2 storms that dropped a good amount
looks like the new battery box is doing its job. good work
Its doing good for sure
I think its cool the dog rides with you.
He loves riding around
Thank you all farmers for the dairy and meat love the video had to subscribe keep up the hard work god bless
From a city boys point of view . That looks like a Adventure all kinds of big toys and lots of snow to play in
but as farmers Just another day of hard work to bring product to the city people that rely on you
GOOD JOB !
We used our 7520 during the blizzard of 78 to help open the roads , county paid us some good money .
A few drops of water will stop the flow of fuel after freezing solid. Half the time guys say they gelled up it was ICE. Vehicles driven during winter should get a new fuel filter after Thanksgiving
We have a big ranch In Montana and I still love Winter it does make it a lot harder to get chores done
i like a small heatpad for a batterie warmer, set it on low wrapped around the batteries to keep there spunk in the cold..also same pad good on the oil pans..clean the oilpans with brake clean and wipe with dry rag glue it in place same with the batteries..shoe goo is my choice for the glue..its good and strong and flexable...the heatpads use low watts so on a long cord it wont get the house plug or the cord hot..try just a heatingpad on the batteries most people got one kicking around somewere lol liked the video guys thank you.
We got the snow Fri and overnight Fri here in Northern Ontario . I was plowing today (Sat) then watching you plow . What's the matter for myself ? LOL . Your dog barked in the video and my sleeping cat peeled out of the couch heading for the basement .
My family used to have a dairy farm in maine .. its alot of work no joke I feel for you brother
My hats off to you Duffy. You are living what I have always dreamed of doing and your videos are a real treat to me. I may not be able to actually climb into a piece of equipment but you are letting me see what it is like from the cab. I look forward to watching many more of your videos and have subscribed to your channel now that I found you. Thank You again for all that you do.
We got 24” just east of you in Lowell. However with only one 90’ driveway to clear no where near the amount of work you put in. Love your videos and your dog.
about the same here then and thanks for watching
Another great video bud! Tha k you for all tye hard work you put into these videos for us! We appreciate it more then you know! Stay safe out there!
Really appreciate that
Fun watching you and your pup working. ;-) And that tractor covered in snow in the dark looked really cool, like an exaggerated cartoon tractor!
Thanks for watching glad your digging it
@@DuffyAg I did a screen shot of your snow covered tractor and it's currently my desktop wallpaper. ;-)
7520 is one of my favorite deers
that tractor is a BEAST! and a beauty too! i have a little 1026R and a 42 inch snow blower on the front haha. i love it. i can throw good snow over 30 feet, and go through a foot of snow like nothing. i tend to wait till the snow stops to bother working it, but i can afford to wait, unlike you i expect haha. yet, got to just love the snow though. if you cant love it, winter would be miserable haha
What about throwing a box scraper on the back as well ? They are super handy in the snow 👌
Your videos are great I look forward to them. It's winter time in upstate NY your videos help winter more enjoyable. Snow Sucks!!!
Thanks for watching along
One of the best cold starts I’ve seen in a long time!
I just found your videos but I sure was glad to notice you using the flashers on that old tractor. That's one problem I notice in my area. Newer equipment but they can't seem to turn their hazard lights on on the road.
Thanks for watching and always run it when I am close to roads or on roads. Try to get peoples attention and stay safe
This storm is about to hit us up here in Ontario Canada 🇨🇦 lol .. and I’ll be out all day moving snow
Great video! Feel your pain snow is not your friend on a dairy ,adds more work to the day, if we were to get that much down here would not be good! Stay warm
Thanks for watching
In my small town in Wisconsin we had a local milk truck company and he ran two trucks all winter long he would send out two pickup trucks with plows on them to plow out the farms to make it so the farmer could just milk and the milk would be picked up yet
Little allis Chalmers 6080 kept goin through 8 inches sure I had stop a few times but backin up and gunnin it forward got the pile movin again
Good tractors
Hi another good video
, no snow on PEI.
Love the 7520, we had one, it was our main tillage tractor for over 20 years. Had to plug it in anytime it got cold
Awesome tillage tractors for sure
First off I have never seen your channel and your dog is adorable! I plow commercially. All I do is driveways and small parking lots. Doesn’t it suck having a straight blade? Would it be beneficial buying a cheap 2500 with a plow off Facebook market place. And then at Least you can angle the plow. And the trailer hitch plows are amazing too. They open up to 15 feet. Do a driveway in one swipe. And btw I did subscribe. You seem like a good guy. Farmers are so important to our community!
For comfort plow truck would be great. This guy uses that deer for more than just his snow. That tractor is much faster than a truck for deep snow like that.
Good job youre all Tough Guys out there !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pushed snow for 19 hours in Rhode Island for this storm I feel your pain.
Drags on for sure
I just realized where you guys are, I'm from central MA. I was just going to ask how the people were to deal with. Then you started talking about it. Beautiful town, but I can't imagine dealing with them.
Sure am located in Carlisle
Bought this for my small back deck in the Eastern Sierra. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxoHYZbq5g9fkcAtinlTqstNlje-UQkCHN We get A LOT of HEAVY snow so I was a bit skeptical but it was worth it! After the first storm of the year this has exceeded expectations! It throws snow very well, even 10-12” + that said the more it piles up the harder it is to maneuver the machine. It is exceptionally light weight and overall exactly what I was looking for. If you have a large amount of snow and a lot of area to clear, you may consider something with a drive engine to help maneuverability, but for decks, second stories, roofs etc, you can’t beat the light weight to great snow throwing ratio. Side note, the chute rotator is a bit flimsy and it initially didn’t seem to work, after a few uses it seems to have loosened up.
Drove a milk truck for 3 years. I know all about it. Really easy job... most of the time.
Got alot of buddies who enjoy driving milk truck till bad weather comes
Yeah, I hated snow too when I had stock!
Upstate NY wasn't the place to be in winter.
Makes for days being longer
Good "clean" fun! Snow!! You can have all of mine... Duffy creates an excellent farming video. I caught the Cabot Co-Op logo on cap... Their cheese is the best available in most stores. Must say, Killer driving skills. I always wonder how they know where to plow. Keep up the good work on both, but please put the gopro down if safety is involved...
The dash and controls remind me of my dad's 4020 we use to have
Pretty similar
Oh cool beans! You do haved a Mad Max dog!!! That IS a Australians Cattle Dog….right?
I liked them and Germans shepherd dogs. And one other too called as Great Pyrenees Mountain Dogs. I did haved a germans shepherd to when was I at 7 and becamed a orphan. All ways my older brother wished to haved a Australian Cattle Dog but he is goned now too. Yours does looked very loyal and cool acting!
Nice job! Loved this video.
Thanks for watching
Shit 10-16 inches that's a typical storm here in Maine
the nice thing with that 7520 and the blade you do have there is no payment book tied to it love seeing the older equipment getting out there and getting it done
love your videos always look forward to them keep it up 👍
Appreciate you watching keeps me getting them out
you doing a great job.
Great video!
That storm was so rough the town gave up on plowing. My street gets done by another farmers case puma and he gave up cause it was too icy. Had to plow the street myself with the old obs f250
Lot of snow for sure glad our town kept up
For us snow is a cake walk but now Mud is a real bear. You all deal with way more snow than I get in Indiana
Wow what a snow pushing beast!
just subbed :D blessings from sweden, YT got me here from snow removal, but i liked ur spirit keep it up :D
We raise about 100 so heifers for or neighbor and about 15 beef of or own. And when it snows it adds about a hour to 2 hours of work.
😍😍😍 love your 7520!
Appreciate the support and love for the 7520
Snow sure makes for some good snowmobiling though
Thats true I dont own a snowmobile tho
@@DuffyAg thats what tractors with sticky cluches are for
Any one who loves snow has never been a UPS driver either! Bad snow puts us behind and it can take you a month to get caught back up!
Thats for sure, my UPS driver is top notch too
Nice puppy.
Good work
Hats off to milk truck drivers great statement. Seen them out in some shitty weather , dam you sound like me snow is no fun
Awesome channel you have dont know much about snow it looks like a pain in the rear end
Thanks for watching and it sure is
Ik your not concerned about in cab heat, but you should look into a Chinese diesel 12v heater for the old girl. They work great and are easy to adapt to anything.
good vid dood!!!!
Ain’t snow deep enough to stop that bad boy.much much respect to you guys👍
Amen brother, i haul milk so thank you
