As a little girl, I had an aunt who lived far away. Every Christmas she would send a gift box full of “ bits and bobs”. She was a very creative person, and you just never knew what would be in the box. It was one of the best Christmas treasures and memories I have. Watching you gather together things to put together reminded me of my dear Aunt Knotty.
You, too, are a treasure that has entered my life, inspiring my creative side daily.

I have somewhat guilty memories of asking the poor shopkeeper for, "A pennyworth of these, threepence of those." I'm 72 and was in Melbourne at that time. Loved those paper bags full of all types of sweets! Much like Kate's wonderful boxes or bags.

New subscriber here! I am enjoying watching your process and seeing your lovely quilts. I would like to make a suggestion for your a project Linas quilts. Make them crib sized! For me that’s the width of the fabric by One and a half yards. That’s usually 45 inches by fifty four inches less whatever trimming you have to do to square it up. That size is perfect for a crib sized batting plus, it’s big enough to actually use. I made all my granddaughters a quilt that size about ten years ago. I have six granddaughters and one Granddaughter aged daughter ( she was born the year my oldest son graduated high school, and two years before my oldest granddaughter ) for a total of seven. I need to redo it because they have used them for their own children, and for the sofa, and bed. They have been well washed and are looking pretty used. This time, I will include the boys so it will be a total of a total of 15! It will take me two or three years!

First time I’ve ever watched a new video when the emporium went live! The only things left just 3 hours after the video posted were some adorable Liberty Christmas trees, so I got those and will give them as gifts this year. Thanks so much!! (I really wanted that peach/coral colored Liberty pillow-oh well, congrats to whoever got it!!). 🎉

Love the emporium idea, and it was so nice to see so many items being snatched up! If you are doing any tallying of favorite items, i would have LOVED more bound books and more bag, book and bar offerings. I’m looking forward to receiving the other items i was able to order.

22 April 2024 South Africa, hi Kate, I am making my way through all your videos on UA-cam. I love English Paper Piecing and have many quilts this way. I am not on Instagram. Love Liberty fabrics but they are too expensive. I am obsessed with Kaffe Fasset and co. fabrics and have quite a collection of their fabrics. We have a wonderful shop in Linden, Johannesburg and they have these fabrics. Love your videos, you speak so well that I can watch you for hours no matter what you are making. Keep well, and my best wishes to you x

Karen, I have all of Kate's books and while they are not stamped and signed, she did include a separate lively signed card with the cat stamp and I keep them all together. It was so wonderful to read these little storirs and have the keepsake card. 🐈🐈🐈🐈

I love watching these sewing videos and my sewing journey since 2010 which is now 13 years old and still going strong and been card making since 2007 - 2023 and started hot foiling on to my fabrics and look stunning with the foiled detail and looks amazing

Kate: Have you thought about making simple storage type boxes with your left over fabrics? I have been using excess batting and left over fat quarters, etc. They are simple and I believe would sell well in your emporium

Thank you for a lovely look through your treasures, I missed out on a bag, a book and a bar but I might borrow the idea as gift I could make up myself for someone.
