Hahaha … gotta do it some days
My back hurt when you picked up that auger brother. The ground crew was supposed to keep the bags picked up for you. 😁 Thanks for another one of a kind 'How You' video. I can't wait to see the next installment. Y'all take care and may Father YHVH bless y'all.
Yeah, I'll have to find a better place to store that mongo auger :) Thanks for the support man!
You amaze me at how much you do in a day. I'm worn out just watching you. Hope you find your container soon as I am excited to watch this build. Thanks
Good to have ya along for the project!
comments from a field archaeologist who has 30+ years in the profession and has worked on government jobs. When you were shaping out the footprint it was pretty close to what I would use. Normally we use Texas tacks and run a tape measure from two locations to immediately triangulate the exact third and forth points. Many units are backstaked if the soil is going to collapse. Great job backstaking. Good sounds methods for someone not producing a how to video. Can't wait to watch the next one.
Good to hear it! I like your perspective from that background ... very interesting!
That's some serious back breaking work!
Might need to take 1/2 an Advil :)
ROFL, I love your exact terminalogy ... a little scoopy doo. 😆 It is fun to see what you guys are up to. 👍 Keep the vlogging coming. It is fun to see.
The old scoopy-doo :) Good to hear from ya
The Tofu bucket will become one of the main tools of the best handyman. Thank you for sharing your experience and your findings 😁
I guess I can't sneak the tofu bucket back into the kitchen :)
@@metaspencer You could try but please, make a video :D
Those big rocks are even more fun with a two man auger. Glad you have the tractor
oh yeah, they'll throw ya for a loop :)
TOFU BUCKET! I see you are also a man of culture...
The question remains: will I attempt to sneak the tofu bucket back into the kitchen? :)
@@metaspencer keep up the good work and try to stay outta trouble
Hard work there Spencer. Looks like you got the hard done now. The ticks are out here. Be on the lookout
Yep, pulled one off the dog yesterday ... darn blood sucking parasites. Got our bare-rootstock trees planted, though :) great feeling
Yeah I had one on me at the dentist office yesterday. Not sure where he came from. I had 75 oak seedlings show up yesterday that I forgot I ordered last fall so I’ll be planting them tomorrow.
@@nhmountains5683 75 oaks! that's a great investment for the future
love your videos great shows thanks have fun
awesome to hear
Told ya I'd be back for part 2. See ya on part 3
Heeeeees baaaaack! Great to hear
Hope you find a container soon! Would love to see this complete.
Oh yeah, it'll work out! :) Big thanks
That looked like hard work. Good progress.
Thanks for sharing.
Michael (from Scotland)
A little bit at a time, as they say. Thanks for checking it out!
Nice. Very excited to see this build. I saw that the price of shipping containers has gone up. Hope you find one soon at a great price.
I'm hoping it works out! thanks
@@metaspencer It will be great!
Looking great 😊
Big thanks!
Cool update. Want to see more!
I'll keep them coming! :)
The Tofu bucket hasn’t made it’s way out to the intermountain west yet but I am definitely adding one to my multi-purpose gadget kit once they become available. Love your videos man!
haha ... absolutely! gotta have ALL the tools at your disposal :)
Lord of the rings reference! :-) That was a lot of work, good thing you have a tractor to lighten the load. I'm sure you'll find another container. Too bad the prices have gone up so much, at least where I live anyway.
Yeah the price hikes are crazy ... but I'm hopeful it all works out
@@metaspencer I'm sure it will! Looking forward to future progress videos. :-)
Great channel, New subscriber from England
Excellent. Great to hear!
Nice work
thanks man
Looking good Spencer! Those 3 pt augers can be a real pain to work with. I have been known to hang mine from a convenient tree limb, barn rafter, or anything else I can find so it'll "free hang"... easiest way I've found so far anyways!
Free hang sounds good! I'll have to sort something out for the next time I take it off ... thanks for the tip!
This looks like a fun build. 👍🏻
So far so good ... weather may be warming up, too!
No matter how big we build it, it's never big enough.
Absolutely ... always the case
Nice project brother. Hope your back doesn't go out. That auger could hurt ya brother.
yeah just about killed me ... fortunately I'm still made out of a bit of rubber. Good job on that tree in the tight space!
@@metaspencer thanks. Lot's of firsts on that one. Lovin the snap cut now.
I was digging holes in the parking lot to put some signs up and I hit a big old rock like that with a pick ax i felt the shock wave like in the cartoons when they hit some hard and shock wave goes through the body
gotta get some TNT for this big ones :)
Fuck Yeah!
May just have room for a dirt bike in there :)
@@metaspencer Win!
Bro. Got an inverter for your truck? That shop vac would have been nice.
Now that you mention it, I do have one. doh!
I'm assuming that those piers are for footings for the containers so I'm curious... Why no rebar in the forms and also, why didn't you go below the frostline (50" for NYS)? If the footings heave it might mess with your building. Big fan of you and your vids btw, thanks for sharing!
I’ve got a wild situation with bedrock just below the soil level at about 2’ down … so instead of deep piers and footings I’m just down on the stone. Rebar would have been a good idea but the concrete rating seemed high enough. Time will tell!
@@metaspencer Very much looking forward to the rest of the build, you're a hard working dude!
@@pierogies_and_pie thanks man :)
Ok . . . I must have missed or accidentally deleted something . . . . what happened to the home with the shop and garage for the prison bus?? That was a nice shop . . . . . Rog
Yeah we sold it and moved on ... loved that place! So current shop is 12x14, which is why I need more space.
Whats the width between your containers?
27'3"
If I am first to make a comment does that mean I win a prize?
No you don't get a prize because you didn't give it a thumbs up.
A prize! I have some 1/2 a cardboard tube in the back of the truck if you're interested :)
@@metaspencer Can I have your truck instead? 😁
@@AK-47ISTHEWAY The truck! He wants the truck! :)
