Nothing worse than wanting to learn or watch some woodworking, and it turns into a 20-minute amazon affiliate link. Thank you for doing you, and not trying to sell me a bunch of shit. I am looking forward to watching your content and seeing you grow.

I like this crate uh... basket design, I have a ton of fruit and vegetable farms all around my city. This would be good to add to other wood basket and crate designs I plan to make. Small and simple is where its at my friend! Cheers 🍻

I had some leftover treated deck boards that I sliced up and made a large sized garden basket and 2 smaller ones. Thanks for the idea. I plan to load mine up with pumpkins and mum's!

    That is an interesting project.
I am looking forward to your tool organizer video series. I finally decided to build tool organizers to hang on the walls of my shop (close to 20 years after the shop was built). A few weeks ago, I put up a 16 feet length of French cleat made from oak that I bought at an auction 15+ years ago. I built a 12" x 18" x 30" drill bit and portable drill cabinet from some black walnut that I bought long ago at an auction - I built a box joint jig so that I could use box joints at the corners of the cabinet. Then I moved on to building holders for my routers, again using black walnut and box joints for the support framework under the table boards. I just bought a dowel making plate that is manufactured by DFM Tool Works so that I could make 1/4" black walnut dowels for the router holders so that I am able to hang the 1/4" collets and collet wrenches (it is oddly fun chucking up a 5/16" square board in a cordless drill and eventually ending up with a 1/4" dowel). I just started working on the holder for the 4" x 24" belt sander - during the glue up of the boards, I used my 33 year old Porter Cable biscuit joiner for probably the first time in 15 to 20 years.
I suspect that building tool holders for your wall could be an opportunity for you to showcase the skills that you have learned. I purposely built my trim router holder longer than necessary so that I had an excuse to buy another trim router. You might also use this as an opportunity to acquire or build (such as the box joint jig) a few new tools.

@@burnstockwoodworking The box joint jig that I built is based on the design shown in the Ask This Old House video: ua-cam.com/video/WrTg6XzIlBk/v-deo.html I actually built more than one of those jigs so that I could create box joint fingers at different widths. I am using a Forrest dado blade that I bought close to 20 years ago - it is producing more chipout than I expected. The first jig is built to target a 3/8" wide box joint finger. I had to use a 0.02" spacer (spacers are from Freud) next to the blade's chipper to reach 3/8" (0.375") - I used a digital caliper to verify the width. The first box joints I built with the jog were perfectly sized. I had to take the dado set out of my dado table saw to use the dado stack in one of my radial arm saws (note that it is possible to snap the plastic height elevation gears in a heavy-duty Delta 12" radial arm saw when trying to create half lap joints in 3/4" thick stock with an 8" dado blade - I have to remember not to try that again). When I put the dado blade back into my dado table saw with the same shim, the dado blade was cutting about 1/32" (0.03125") wider than it was previously, as the Freud 0.02" shim somehow caused one part of the dado stack to cut wider than the other parts of the dado stack. I did not notice that problem until I ruined a couple of boards. It took a few tries to get the shim to sit flat so that the dado stack would measure a consistent 0.375" wide again.

Recommendation for endings: pre-record a generic ending voiceover and then play that voiceover doing a 360 type of view of your project with that voiceover playing. Cover all the bases like, subscribe, links to your merch in the description, cut list, etc.
Be sure the voiceover is at least 25 seconds long so that you have time for your links at the end. And be sure you mention to check out the other videos on screen right now type thing. The goal would be to drive viewers to your other videos. That’s the kind of things you want to put in your ending. That’ll get you more views on your other videos.

Great build! I like simple and quick lol. Sadly, Ive made a bunch of creates roughly 20"x20" (thinking it would be a good size to sell, not too big, not too small). Didnt take too long to make so I was asking 40.00 ea. zero interest all summer.

OK. This is not a criticism of your video or how you taught how to make the crate.
But I waited almost 6 months for you to return. Where's that crazy guy. The guy that taped his glasses on so they didn't slide off his face. The guy that broke his windows, and months later still hadn't fixed it. The guy that made a big ass mallet that was pretty much useless.
I guess what I am saying is I watched and still watch your videos for your take and view point, not to mention your nuttiness. Please don't try to become someother creator to get a following.
