I’m not experienced with timber harvesting but I have experienced in environmental remediation. I’ve seen some videos where the site after harvesting looks like a disaster area. Justification seems to be in a few years it will all be consumed or broken down. I understand it takes time and money to clean up but that’s not a reason to not do it. It was nice to see you at least doing some erosion control practices. I’m looking to buy a small 40 acre parcels and any timber harvesting on my land will be performed with a scope of work with multiple sections describing those activities to be performed one will have a section covered this. I keep hearing loggers, foresters and owner talking about BMPs. Great unfortunately nobody has defined exactly what those are! I’m guessing it’s another mouth full without criteria.
