Hey Doris, I'm a Ford Senior Master mechanic. I work at a Ford dealer in northern CA. I'm a Shelby specialist. Know those cars like the back of my hand. Racking those cars are the worst. Also the under shield is not that difficult to come off. You shouldn't have to remove the entire front bumper. There are more screws you can access under the vehicle that the front splitter will pop out then you can remove the belly pan. Very common issue the leak from the oil filter housing. Is it the 4 bolt style or 3 bolt style?? The newer version has 4 bolts. You can get a gasket for it. I'll post the torque procedure here for you for both from the work shop manual. I'll try and post pics of a Shelby with the splitter access screws for you, so you don't have to keep removing your bumper. 😊
Yup. The access to the bolts are super hard on there since the aftermarket splitter did not make them easy to install and were a pain to align. So bumper removal is easier and takes less time compared to that lol
Lol for sure well. Good luck on your oil leak hope the parts and tips helped out. I would definitely look into the grease I mentioned really good to have and use. And lubricate the new gasket with the same engine oil you use. Very light coat like you would do on an oil filter.
Doris here is the information for your oil filter adapter housing. If you have the 4 bolt one its 177 inch lbs and then an additional 60 degree. It has a bolt patter torque aswell. First bolt is the upper left then lower right, then lower left, then upper right. So it makes an x pattern. So do the pattern at 177 incn lbs then again with the 60 degree additional. I recommend lube the gasket prior to install with clean new oil. Same oil you use for the engine. 5W50 full synthetic. Also you should replace the bolts. Since they are torque to yield. May not seal correcty. Also recommed applying some assembly lube to the bolt threads prior to install. I use CMD extreme pressure lube #3. Good stuff many uses, a little goes along way. If you have the 3 bolt version of the oil cooler. Then its the same torque as 4 bolt.
It's better view climbing to turn it off. Right it was sketchy. Not really safe. Not recommended. I hope it is not that much of a problem. Take your time. Make a list of what you're going to do and start doing them one by one. You're only one person. Thanks for sharing. Much love. Stay healthy and safe.
Hi Doris!! That oil filter adapter gasket leak is very common on Ford 4.6 & 5.4 engines!! It can be a pain to fix because of it's location! My '02 F150 needs it too, but i keep putting it off cause i'd have to drain the coolant cause it runs thru that adapter and it's actually an oiler cooler!. At least the oil is clean cause i keep adding about a quart every 3 to 4 weeks!! 😝 I'm sure you got this!! 👍 Bye and take care!! 🩷
I have to use 2 jacks to lift my lowered C8. One to get it just high enough to get the other one under with the Jackpoint Jackstands pad on top of the lifting pick that needs to be used on C8’s. The joy of lowered cars. The lowered look is worth the hassle though.
Great video! Now I'm your new fan! Love your outfit and makeup! They look perfect and you! You're a beautiful porcelain doll! Sending you lots of greetings and positive vibes from Miami! Keep racing down the track and don't give up on your dreams!
It seems like a lot of Modular Ford motors have in common is leaking at the oil filter housing, good luck on fixing the problem. Hope it's not too difficult.
You should Supercharge Your GT350 I have a VMP ODIN on my GT and it's a nice street supercharger I daily my car on premium and boostane and have driven it all across the country. VMP makes a ODIN direct bolt on kit for the 2015-2020 GT350 I think if you supercharged it You would drive it all the time. I average a 175 miles a week on mine back and forth to work and it works very well passing Arizona traffic.
I kinda lost track of your rebuild of the Shelby engine. What did you do to fix the issue? Something about a poison land / groove cracking, messing up rings. Mark
Greetings from a fellow GT350 owner! Can you tell me what exhaust set up you have? Looks like you have aftermarket headers at least, but would love to know the deets. Thanks!
Doris, I earned a nice profit investing in tangerines but now lemon futures are spiking. Could I get a heads up next time? Maybe grapes next time like the kind that make fine wine or champagne?
Kept trying to read comments but too much action going on in this vid. Oil filter was prolly tighten correctly but since car doesn’t get driven often the gasket prolly contracted. If car would reach operating temps more often I’m almost sure that issue wouldn’t occur.
The part number for the gasket is JR3Z-6840-A. The 3 shirt bolts are: W718238-S442 The long bolt is: W718237-S442. IF You have any questions let me know in a comment. Also ill try and get you information for the undepan belly and front splitter removal so you dont have to take your bumper off every time.
Thank you for listing the parts. The pan is attached to the aftermarket front splitter in a really annoying way. It’s not worth removing the bolts as it took me forever to install it years ago. So that is why it’s easier to just remove the front bumper lol.
Doris are you for hire? Ive got a fleet of delivery vans requiring regular maintenance! Fyi, i have my own shop with hoist so bring your tools and lets get going already! 😂❤😂
Hi Doris, I hope you are doing fine. It seems to me that Shelby doesn't want you to be its owner. Primero fue el motor, y ahora la fuga. Don't waste your money en ese auto chica. Get a newer Mustang, lo digo con respeto por ti. Saludos and take care.
@@woman.driven Oh, don't you dare to justify it! I know que estás enamorada de tu pony, but let's be honest here, that pony has been a pain in the...you know where.
Camera views are always awesome so professionally done. A beautiful sexy woman with a mustang I mean that's just perfect. And she knows what a wrench is My God That's like a man's dream come true. Lol

I told you when you put that motor in that was to many rpm to keep that thing together.just one more problem.
Love that RearEnd !!!

Doris you need to make a shop calender❤❤❤
Yeah, it would definitely sell out!
Bikini with your FORD Mustangs!
If she do she needs to do a regular one and a NSFW one 🥴
That is the plan for years end.
I’ll take one
Thank you for using the ladder and not lowering it to shut it off. Thank you

Excellent video Doris love watching fix your cars!!!
Six years? Wow! I’ve been following since you got this car! I followed because I was anticipating my Mustang GT
Doris I’m confused, last video orange was my favorite color but now I’m really liking yellow

Holy...that latter was well worth the 2min time savings💯
I agree. Lowering the car to shut it off is just ridiculous ❤

Odličan video, pozdrav iz Srbiju
I had a leaky oil burning mustang i bought used. It rusted to pieces like my ranger. They were both very hard to work on.Still miss them 😢
We can all see why you climbed the ladder! Wow! Beautiful view!
Hello, how are you? You are good at your work. You are amazing. I am from Iraq and I follow you
She is amazing and would be someone you would just enjoy being around
The hottest mechanic 🤤🤤🤤

Gt350 is my dream. I have a regular GT right now, and it’s a wonderful car too tho.
You’ll get it. I had a 2016 GT before I started YT. I loved it 😍. You can always upgrade later.
Hopefully the pull leak will be a simply fix. Loved the video awesome. 🙂
I hope so too! Thanks for watching!
My heart just dropped when I saw the title. I thought the engine was blown again but glad its something else.
Oil filter housing leaks are very common on those motors, but watching you climb the ladder made me forget i have to fix mine.
I kinda lost track of your rebuild of the Shelby engine. What did you do to fix the issue?
Something about a poison land / groove cracking, messing up rings.

I'd be careful with battery tenders. I've heard a few of them can overheat and burn things.
The cleaness mechanic 😊
Hey Doris. Great video but I feel bad for the Shelby. So many horses yet never gets to gallop. It's crazy it has so few miles on her.
Nooo lol. It’s all my cars. Don’t really have the time to enjoy them all at the moment. They’ll have their time out in the sun eventually 😀
Thank you so much for wearing those yellow shorts.
Doris is the only person I can watch work on a ford 💪🏾💯
that shelby is badass fr and she know what she was doing in this video looking all fine 😂😂😂
I love your Ford performance shirt but im a big fan of Mustangs. Did you get a chance to see the 60th anniversary or the new Shelby
Missing that amazing ZLE! Hopefully more content to follow
For the ZLE yes. It’s not exempt from projects anymore haha.
@@woman.driven I just installed the mid muffler (Magnaflow 12469). No more rasp or tinny sound. Sound is so deep!
Wow!! ❤❤❤
The perpetual to-do list,
It never ends, Miss Do-Race..

So many things to do.. only one me lol.
Greetings from a fellow GT350 owner! Can you tell me what exhaust set up you have? Looks like you have aftermarket headers at least, but would love to know the deets. Thanks!
Hey! I have Corsa catless headers with a custom center resonators and the stock mufflers. ☺️
Nice video thank you

Doris I think it'd be much easier if you just place the plywood in front of the wheels and drive it in between the Lift
Exactly what I did. I put them in front and drive up. Still isn’t tall enough for clearance.
The part number for the gasket is
JR3Z-6840-A.
The 3 shirt bolts are: W718238-S442
The long bolt is:
W718237-S442.

Ok I see yeah then if that's more easier for you no doubt!! As a mechanic which ever way is least intrusive and easier then that's the ticket lol.
Vehicle does sit low but I don't think u need any more clearance than that💯👀
Def need more clearance lol
@@woman.driven ikr...🤦♂️
You are a doll !
My cousin had that same issues with mustang
Ugh.. yea. Somewhat comment I guess.
So not really a mustang issue 😮
Putting the GT350 on the two-post is a real bummer.

lol.. the car wasn’t the issue this time. It was something caused by me in the past when installing a part. I’ll get it fixed :)

When I had my GT350 I didn't have any oil leaks, mine would just burn a half quart every 2 month or so.
Mine wouldn’t burn that much. You must be having a lot of fun with it lol. The leak in this case was done by me lol. Not the Shelby’s fault.
Damn Doris looking good in those shorts 😍
