As a mechanic I have to give you points young lady you is literally a professional mechanic right now you is inspiring me and I already know how to fix car❤
Great video, Doris. I'm glad you were able to fix that oil leak. Just so you know, BMWs are infamous for oil filter housing leaks. Love your L.A. Lakers colors. Keep up the great work. Looking forward to seeing what you do with the 69 Mustang.
❤😊 Awww Doris!! Thank you for the shout out!! Your awesome and I'm happy you remembered to go back and look at the comments and tips I gave you in the first video. I'm so happy to see and hear you got it all done and fixed and I am Hella happy the information I gave you helped you and allowed you to make a perfect factory repair!! Great Job and don't hesitate to reach out if you ever have any more questions about your Shelby or anything else. Always happy to help! Take care and can't wait for your next adventure. 😊
Save your old oil to flush out your 69 mustang and don't attempt to start the engine until you get that nasty oil out and clean the crankcase. Pull your spark plugs and crank the engine until you get oil pressure. Then and only then put new oil in, but use cheap oil. After it's run 30 min put better oil in. You will need to twist distributor to find where it needs to be in order to start.
1:50 throttlebody looks a bit dirty with carbon it probably looks like it could use cleaning with throttle body spray and maybe i don know but maybe the mass airflow sensors with mass airflow sensor cleaner and i think there is a coolant drain plug under the radiator not sure
I hate all the bs hoses and shit too way to much under the hood. Yes those rubber Orings could pop off like you said. I like to use a little WD40 or clear silicone spray lube on all of those type of connections and even electric connectors to help aide in removal. Really helps. Yes work shop manual is sometimes tricky to navigate and there are hyperlinks you click on that take you to different spots of the procedure. . Make sure you disconnect the battery before and after removing the alternator. Prevent grounding if you accidentally touch the tool to metal. Yes those pig mats work wonders we have them in our shop. Once you take the radiator hose off after pre draining there won't be much coolant as if you didn't drain it. Then you can use that fluid evacuation tool to suck the rest of the coolant out to reduce the mess. No the alternator is a bitch to remove even with stock mounts you really have to twist and turn and manipulate it to get it out. Those 2 10mm bolts that hold the oil cooler lines to the filter housing way to much blue LOCKTITE. Fuck. . Lol . Good call with 1/2 cordless impact to get those bracket bolts out. Again way to much locktite. Lol damn engineers.
Tip for the future; when you're working with full coolant hoses, use a set of clamps (not vice grips that you kept calling clamps lol) to clamp the hose before you detach the hose. It works well. You'll obviously have to use some small boards between the clamp and the hose for the larger hoses like that.
If you have a big leak a quick and easy way is to use a squeegee and a dust pan. Squeegee the liquid into the dust pan, put it in a bucket or jar, then you just have some residual fluid on the floor left to clean up. I have WAAYYY TOO MUCH experience with these types of spill situations!
Ok some pointers. You already have your bumper off for easy access and even if you didn't the cooling system has a drain plug called a drain cock. Lol seriously 😂. It is located on the bottom of the radiator on the passenger side under the ac line it's a white butterfly nozzle. Located just above the frame rail. Take the coolant degas bottle cap off, yes the one everyone always tells you it's low fill up to the max and do it cold. Take the cap off and then put a drain pan or fluid pan or roll caddy under neath to catch coolant to drain most of it before you take the hoses off save you big mess and clean up time. Also maybe think about getting a fluid evacuation tool uses shop air to suck fluids out. Good tool to add. Oh hell yeah I love the under hood light bar don't do any work without it. Lol I have two. A matco and a Mac brand. One is home one is in the shop. The hose clamp on your air box it's a 7mm socket 1/4 drive maybe quicker and easier instead of a flat head screw driver. 😉
Call me crazy, but I would love to see an all-out restoration of the Camry(engine rebuild, interior, body/paint work, etc. IOW, as close to factory stock, as it rolled off the showroom floor. No mods - everything original to the last detail.
You can tell if she's daddy's girl, and she's not married because there's no ring on her finger and it's not because she's working on cars. Add one more thing you can tell they are very well off.
@@djvtec26 I hear you. But, there’s just something about having a plain-Jane restoration, just as it would have rolled off the assembly line in a Japan.

Mark, what is the order and torque specs for that Mustang oil filter adapter? Thanks.
I wasn't a fan of the color purple but now I am!
Mad respect for you and your talents!!! You keep working until you figure it out, most don't go that far!! Keep up the hard work
I like that she freeballed some of it like all of us mechanics do sometimes. Car manuals suck, a sub for AllData might help with some cars
Purple is my new favorite color. WOW
I'm investing in plums this week Doris
Thanks for another video
Dori's regarding your alternator. If you must remove it, unbolt one side of motor mount and jack the motor just enough to wiggle the alternator out.
