How To Change Time Zones on G-Shock | Flip Local & World Time

- I'll show you how to flip time zones on your Casio G-Shock, so your World Time city becomes your local time and vice versa. If you're traveling to a new city, this is the best and quickest way to switch the hands to your new city, and flip the WT digital display to keep track of time back home. It's just as easy to swap them back when it's time to return home!
Is your World Time city wrong by one hour? I'll also show you how to enable DST (Daylight Saving Time) for your WT city. This is just a quick video for those who have forgotten how to enable these settings. This is not a tutorial for all functions. The example is shown on a Casio G-Shock GA100-1A4 running module 5081. Your model may vary, though these instructions should be applicable for most modules that feature World Time.

Absolutely. Just keep your "mode" in "WT" and you'll constantly see the world time city/time in the digital display. The handset will be your local time. Or you can swap which one is displayed on the digital screen by using the feature I outlined in the video.

You have to be in World Time (WT) when swapping the local/world time zones.

As of today, you would choose either Madrid (MAD), Paris (PAR), Rome (ROM), Berlin (BER), or Stockholm (STO) which are all UTC+1, and ensure DST is NOT active on that city (see video).

Ahh…I thought that was a generic question! Yes, YEA would be correct as that’s Edmonton, Alberta. Today they are in Standard Time, so make sure the DST is not illuminated.

I believe the city code would be WLG for Wellington. That’s GMT+12 and today you’re in NZDT so adding an hour with the DST mode would bring you to GMT+13….
