- after finishing a tour that conveniently placed me in the UK (where Adam "Nolly" Getgood lives), the guys at Neural DSP had the wild + amazing idea to send the two of us to a beautiful studio to collaborate on an original song, and then make a play-through for it using both of our Archetype plugins. here's what we came up with!

What I like the most? Plini being so expressive in all of his performances!
These two should seriously make an album happen! Or an EP at least... They work so well together and this tune is so right on so many levels! There is melody dripping off everything and a perfect balance of space and tasteful shred.

Nolly was actually grown in a lab that was crowd funded by all the bass players who were bullied by guitar players. The result was the worlds best bassist who is also a ridoculously good guitar player. The bassists finally got their revenge.
It's not that rare for a guitarist to be good at bass and vice versa.
@@franklinriley7074 IMO it's extremely rare for a guitarist to have the head for bass. They require very differing approaches, unless all you're really doing is banging out notes. Laying down a groove is totally different from screaming out fast riffs.

I was so surprised to see this collaboration! Never would have thought of it, but it worked out so nicely! Awesome song; amazing tone!
This is truly remarkable playing! So innovative without trace of the usual prog metal guitar cliches. These guys are proving that music still has uncharted territories to discover. I can’t believe it took me so long to discover Plini. What a talent! Adam Getgood I’ve only known as a world class bassist! He can shred like the best of them on the six string!

Funny story - I watched/listened to this while my 5 and 3 year old kids slept either side of me. They both twitched and jerked like dreaming dogs the whole time, then stopped once the track was done!

He was the best guitarist Periphery ever had. He has all these random covers Jeff Loomis, Paul Gilbert, Ron Jarzombek from Blotted Science and Greg Howe. I hope one day he takes the path of being the great guitarist he is.
Listen to Red Seas Fire's first album. That's where he was before Periphery (as a guitarist)

Yeah, they should really make a video together. Maybe if they're touring, they should also play together or something. And maybe Plini can come to Nolly after they've played the tour together where Neural DSP would give them the opportunity to both use their signature plugins to write a song together. Would be cool. But that's probably never gonna happen. So sad :( Would love to see them doing this!
