      @coatknight Do you just latch onto one thing and miss all the other points being put across? If you're such a Christian why are you so quick to judge PieterCoetzee? I'm a Christian too and the Bible gives me the right to call you out on your sin if I'm without said sin! You should check yourself before you reck yourself! Oh and by the way, I love this platform too because it's informative! You going to judge me next? We're meant to be fishers of men, some you catch and they accept Christ! Others you catch and they deny Christ in which case you let them go unless God compels you with a calling to bring the word to that person, whether that person be traditional or an atheist!!

    I'am a white South African borne in 1976. I'am so glad you guys are speaking intelligently and bringing forth this information, the youth needs to hear this !. There were white South Africans who fought against the old government but they were silenced very quickly and they were watched if there was too much sympathy... my family moved away from the city to a sugar cane plantation to get away from all the injustice and propaganda there were no farmers being murdered we all lived happily without animosity I was always the only white face amongst everyone. My fondest memories as a child was living there. The first time I experienced racism was when we moved to the suburbs, what a shock it was for me ! I use to get into heated situations at school I was called A Kaffer Lover , it was terrible. Keep up with your journey and spread the truth.....

      I'm 15 years old & I understand very well that back in the days even now , you can find white south Africans even white foregiens who have pure heart and who stand against racism and other staffs that keeps on depressing a black men . Adding on what you're saying , yes as a youth some of us understands that not all White are racist there are whites who just have pure heart but please try to view from our side , and from a side of someone who's educated if I may say . Obviously the statements will always say “ white people are racists, white people took our land ” because it's the majority of white people who did that and we end up generalising and saying all white people are not good and some of us grow up with that thing of generalising and end up hateing all people who are white and I don't blame my people ( blacks) .

      Exactly. There were many whites who did not agree with Apartheid. Personally the only people who helped me as a divorced Mum of two toddler Swiss sons in Durban from 1989 - 1992 were one coloured friend & several whites. It is so shameful what is going on in South Africa. This demonic playing of the Blame Game.

      That's exactly what I'm yearning, i call him laaitie e slim blind yase Kasi, to those who don't understand the lingo, i simply says, an intelligent young man from the ghettos (location) mark my words the likes of Adv Ike Khumalo, are the people who suppose to be in our Gvnment we need simple people like Dr Aron Motsoaledi, Bonang Mogale, Adv Dali Mpofu, Dr Nkosasana Dlamini Zuma, Dr Naledi Phando, Former Judge Mogoeng Mogoeng, and this guy who has just exposed ANC Leadership wanted 500m of UIF money that's a very honest guy, and God fearing, these are the key people who are totally not INSATIABLE not these greedy corrupt thieves in the ANC, i mean we tired of being silence especially being in the know of what is transpiring in our country. We've got good law abiding citizens in some political parties across the board, Africans and Whites who can't steal even a needle, but they are aloof scared to be killed, How i wish that one day we could have the same spirit of 1976, we stand up ones and say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, We are no longer going to take it, allowing ourselves to be led by Morons who knows nothing about the Gvnment except good English, abo bari nje na noma oba bekile gu ma TV muntu wa khona athi oya khuluma oya ukhuthi lento e bari bari bari, a real JIM COMES TO JOBURG, sis man this is very disgusting, I'm now over 70 years of age, but i can see Ike and the rest of the guys highlighted above right in me, what he talks about hatred among your own people that's what I've been going through during the Apartheid regime, and Mangope came same even worse, now in the so-called new Gvnment, albeit having in the beginning tried to better most Africans Lives here and there also mine of course, but as we speak the way corruption and crime is so rampant and the prevailing Lawlessness even in the respectable house of Chieves here in Hammanskraal, everything good that was done in the early 90's and during Bophutatswana has been completely eradicated, BABELEGI INDUSTRIAL VANDALIZED everything everywhere is just falling apart, and when you speak you are threatened with death, Kgoshi himself would stand in a meeting and says, somebody will get lost (ketlomo timetsa) and no one will utter a word, I'll be the only one reprimanding him, and a hall with elderly Men and Women will be dead quiet, no support at all, here I'm talking about Africans only no White man in our communities, but u'll find your own people being the ones who hates you so much that they'll never greet you anymore, instead u'll receive phone calls threats, AFRICANS PLEASE I BEG YOU ALL LET'S REPENT AND LEARN TO TELL THE TRUTH AS IT IS, AND CALL A SPADE A SPADE, BEING SYCOPHANTIC LIKE WE WANT TO HAVE A SHARE OF CORRUPTION OUR LEADERSHIP ARE INVOLVED IN, IS NOT GOING TO MAKE US A BETTER PEOPLE, BUT A CORRUPT NATION WHICH IS A VERY ATROCIOUS LEGACY FOR THE GENERATION TO COME. PLEASE PEOPLE REPENT, WE ARE LIVING IN THE TIME OF THE END, JESUS IS COMING VERY SOON, BELIEVE IT OR NOT, HE IS COMING.

    Ike is correct, the new generation cannot compare. I am a senior citizen and lived in both systems. The tender system is littered with corruption. I was shocked when my son told me that the bus driver was telling my son was apartheid was better the current ANC government. There was order, when you go to Bara Hospital, you would get the best service. Greed has taken over, our leadership is only looking out for themselves and our clothing industrial has been decimated. China has killed our clothing industries hence unemployment increased. Mr Maponya had started the first car dealership during apartheid. Dr. Montlana with the committee of 10 started this group and who formed a business forum then. Our people owned, hardwares, butcheries, shops and many other industries. The Comrades came in and made sure that no one other than them get tenders, they were not open to the public. Only they got the tenders. I remember a family member trying for a tender, and he was blatantly told that you must belong to a branch.

      @hopebuhali3887 Рік тому +1

      @@ShaunJulies I disagree with you, that's very shallow and a short sighted analysis on South Africans. You should remember that with the 60 million South Africans, only 10% have the power to change the status in South Africa. There's so much inequality in SA to the point where you are literally voicless and powerless if you don't have enough wealth, power and influence to create change in the country. There's so many brilliant people in this country but are powerless to create any positive change simply because they poor and systemically intentionally excluded from creating any change.
      Bra Ike is fortunate enough to be given a space to share his thoughts and ideas, unlike the millions of other South Africans who can't even access the internet that you take for granted and social media platforms to share their brilliant ideas and thoughts due to poverty and systemic inequality.

    • @ShaunJulies
      @ShaunJulies Рік тому +1

      @@hopebuhali3887 Everyone in this country's vote counts. Not only 10% of the people. If a quarter of the 60 million people chose to vote differently then half of our problem's would be solved already. You cannot say only 10% have the power and influence to change things when it is actually the majority that has the power, but chooses to relenquish that power by putting the same people in power who have proven over and over again that they do not have South Africa's interests at heart.

      I stopped listening at the 08:00 mark. This guy is not very smart. If he would have said that the governments during apartheid were more competent than the ANC, that could be an interesting argument (the governments during apartheid never had the challenge of integrating the majority of the population, that had been held back).
      Saying that apartheid was legal is a non-statement. Anything put into law is legal. There are countries where you can murder homosexuals by law, therefore it is legal. But it is clear, that it should not be.
      Asking how black people suffered during apartheid means that he isn't very good at comparative analyses.
      If black people would have had an equal say for decades, would have been allowed to purchase the good land, if there had never been townships and all races would have lived together, if blacks would have received better education for all those decades. That is what you should be comparing.

      These are two intelligent men discussing serious issues from a perspective that many people don't realize. But i feel somehow pen is still bitter about the Julius issue and i won't be surprised if this is a paid campaign. As much as i don't agree with Julius on certain things, he really brings value to the life of a black man. Unlike pen, Julius didn't lose hope in a black man, he acknowledges a black man still has a lot to learn and must learn in a decolonized education system manner. Julius doesn't fight SA affairs only but his dream is for all african people. If you want to discuss Julius Mr Pen, first agree with him where he impart knowledge and wokeness of black people, then, positively criticize him. Not this non sense agenda you are pushing right now

      It's actually not his phrase to begin with, rather it's a phrase of the Jesus that Ike claims never existed. It's found in Matthew 5:16. Don't you find it interesting that a men who claims Jesus never existed finds nothing wrong with quoting him? How about him talking about Moses, David and Solomon in the same conversation where he denied the existence of Jesus? And he claims Paul and Jesus who lived at least a thousand years after David and Moses, never existed? The men is completely confused and clearly has a spiritual void in his heart. Unfortunately, only Jesus can fill that vaccum. Wait, he does not believe in GOD nor his Son. I would not be worried about the ANC if I were him....

    I appreciate Ike's thorough analysis of the different presidents of South Africa during the democratic era and their respective accomplishments or failures. However, it is crucial to approach the era of apartheid with a clear and comprehensive context. While it is true that there were some positive aspects, it is important to recognize that the primary issue with apartheid was its focus on benefiting the minority population while perpetuating discrimination against the majority. Therefore, it is vital to consider both the positive and negative aspects of this era in order to fully understand its complexities.

Adv Khumalo was comprehensive and crystal clear in his view points but you weren't paying attention or maybe just listening with half an ear. As for you downplaying and saying "there were some positive aspects" regarding the old government, I think the only reason you put it like that was to fit your own narrative! There weren't "some" positive aspects to the old government but many, too many for me to explain to you and waste my time in doing so and please don't take my words out of context.
