This is so helpful! Thank you so much. It’s encouraging to know that these postures/movements are not “natural” and that it will take a lot of practice for my body to get used to being in certain positions. Thanks again!
Yesterday, our coach has us Freshies attempt the 27/5. I did 20/5 and now I see a few mistakes I made when it came to my crossovers. Definitely about to practice this! Thanks BQ
Thank you so so much for this! I got the hang of crossovers pretty quick but I noticed by back leg was idling behind. After taking your suggestions I've managed to develop a much stronger understride!
Do the techniques only apply to a lower stance ( derby stance?) I've seen people doing a more casual ( taller, more straight up and down stance) at the rink. Does this taller stance just come naturally, as they are not looking for speed?
I have a question. Why do they wear the low top skates with a no heal rather than the traditional high top skates with heals? It would seem you would have better ankle support with high top skates
My left ear enjoyed this
My exact thoughts lmao
ha +1 internet
THANKS for this comment! I couldn't watch it because there was no sound (i only use my right headphone while at work.)
Ya
I’m no longer on a team but I find these tips helpful when I attempt to street skate.

The crossunder I needed to learn.
Thankyou
How long should you practice this technique before you transfer it to on skates?

You are great.
Does this apply on inline skates as well?
I have a question. Why do they wear the low top skates with a no heal rather than the traditional high top skates with heals? It would seem you would have better ankle support with high top skates
With more ankle support you get less ankle flexibility, which is needed in derby skating.
Never seen these issues
Cool channel new sub
