- Опубліковано 16 гру 2021
- It was time for a change of scenery so Jérémy and I hopped on a plane from Istanbul to Izmir. We spent a few chilled days in Çeşme and then rented an awesome Airbnb in Izmir! Remember, this is simply a travel vlog of my experience in these destinations. Please be kind in the comments, even if this is not how you would choose to spend your time in these destinations :) Everyone travels for different reasons with different budgets and there is no right or wrong way to travel.

FAQ's
How do you afford to travel? - I now earn a full time living through creating these UA-cam videos, affiliate links, selling digital products and my clothing line. I used to simply just work any temporary job I could find to save up to travel! I budget the money I earn meticulously to reach my savings goals using www.backpackingbananas.com/pr...
Is travelling solo safe? - I would argue the answer is almost always yes! As long as you use your common sense and you follow your own government's guidelines about travelling in that country. I have made several videos on backpacking safety on my channel.
Do you have plans to settle down? Yes, I'm currently saving to purchase my first property in the UK and I'd love to have children one day. I doubt I'll ever live a completely 'conventional' lifestyle by society's standards though, as I often have my own preferred way of doing things.

The scenery and the accomodations we're just stunning and so affordable as well. So glad you and your friends got to enjoy some sunny days and thanks for sharing it all with us. xx
Pleasure 🥰🥰 I feel so lucky to have made good friends to share the experiences with on this trip!
Love that you describe some of the history behind the landmarks, been watching your videos for years and always feel so inspired, thanks Christianne! Love from Australia
Great vlog wonderful Christie!!! 💖 Turkey looks amazing and you look like you are having fun!!! ❤
Lovely, low key video, still worth the wait! When I was little we had a sliding glass door and my father put decals on it because we kept walking into it! Be safe!
Your vids are amazing, I only discovered this channel late last year when my sister said to check it out. The way you edit showing conversion rates and everything is so informative and useful. Turkey looks amazing and now it's on my list of must-visits without a doubt. Thank you so much for the content you create!!! :)
Pleasure 🥰🥰🥰
Omg you walking into the glass door was the funniest thing I’ve seen in a vlog for a while. Mostly because I could like see it coming.. Hahah amazing
I wish I saw it coming too 😂😂😂

Hi Christianne! Really enjoying your travels in Turkey. The beach sure looks like a lot of fun. I was hoping you'd show us your world famous handstand. Lol! See you in the next one!
Btw, your friends, Micha and Justina, are also somewhere vlogging around Turkey. 👋🎅
Another great video my friend, big big thanks👍👍have a nice day
Keep at it. Love your work and style
Woow that Airbnb looked incredible!!
So big and so cheap!!
The Bazaars in this town are the most amazing! Definitely should have shown some cottage of them!
Love the vlogs from turkey!
Thanks lovely ❤️❤️
Loved this vlog! You walking into the door did make me laugh haha x
Thanks Cally! Haha I had a good chuckle myself when I was editing the video 😅
During summer months you won't be able to walk down the streets in Cesme especially Alacati area! My brother has a cottage there!
How nice to see bunch of you having fun! Happy travels!
I'm amaze that your keeping up with the run. I know I would be too lazy to do it on trips.
Really liking the "New You" . Keep up with the exercising. Beautiful!!!
You totally could have gotten away with pretending your camera just bumped the door, I didn’t know you were trying to walk through it until you said so 😂 I can’t wait to travel again! Enjoy!
Hahaha I think in that moment there was no way of hiding my embarrassment of smacking into the door 😂
Thank you for this nice content! Do you have a blog with trip details? Like how did you go from Çesme to Izmir? Thank you
Adorable couple you two make! xx
Beautiful trip..☝🏻👍🏻💖💖💖
❤️❤️❤️
Loved hearing the call to prayer in this - though when I saw how close the minaret was to your Izmir apartment - I do wonder how many mornings you were woken earlier than anticipated!
We were worried about that as well but apparently I am a very deep sleeper at that hour in the morning so I didn’t wake up at all 😅
Hope keep make more video of beautiful country next year be looking your video I love so much. 🎒🎒🎒🎒🎒🎒❤️
Your videos are amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hahaha great pun 😂
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Wow this is lovely! Good for you for staying with 5 boys 😅
So beautiful 😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️
🥰🥰🥰
Don't forget. All prices are shown are off-season prices🧐 in the Summer Season much more.
Hey❤ may I kindly ask you which hair Salon do you go in the video?
Welcome to my homecity 🧿🇹🇷
Thanks 🥰🥰
How do you manage to open your eyes in the sea under water? Doesn’t it really burn?
Thank you for the insights of one of the world's most beautiful countries and for the information about the landmarks. Bu the way, It's promounced Ceshme in English as the letter "ş" in the Turkish alphabet stands for the "sh" sound. ❤ from Montreal, stay safe 🙏
Thanks for the correction! Glad you enjoyed the video! 🥰
I contemplated her with beauty and I saw her
Look up to the sky to mediate and imagine
Reflecting the sun's rays with its light
I didn't close my eyes, and I didn't sleep
I heard heartbeats sending towards her
And the smile of singing did not hide its secrets
So I knew that I was in love and in love with her
It was taken from its arrows, and it hit me
The eye has never seen such goodness
I have between the ancients and the moderns together
What is the description of fantasy, dream and beauty?
Yes, the dream and imagination come true🙏
Wow Turkish city look clean yeah..?
Turkish cities, especially in Western regions are really clean. Most of the population in cities like Izmir, Manisa, Denizli, Bursa, Eskişehir, Aydın, Muğla are well educated as all of them have great universities. For example Denizli was world 2nd in the WWF program for greener cities of Eskişehir was selected as the most liveable city in Europe😊🚵♂️
Cesme absolutely lovely place like you went just out of season October. Peril hotel the beaches are beautiful in Cesme. Went around that castle very interesting. There are some very big hotel's. But were closed till the new season. So imagine it would be very busy in the summer time.
7:29 AJHAHAHAAHAHA I even felt it on my face
Hi Christianne
How are you? Will you go to Durdle Door next year?
Hi Mark, I’m well thank you how are you? I have no idea if I’ll go to Durdle Door next year 😅 it’s not in the plan but never say never haha
We have a trip to Turkey booked for July! How did you book your flights within the country?!
Just using skyscanner 😊
@@BackpackingBananas thanks!
Izmir seems like a good place. I love seeing your ''normal'' backpacking life and it's nice that you show the reality of being a digital nomad ☺️🤌🏼
Izmir is the 3rd most urban city in Turkey just after Istanbul and Ankara. In Izmir you can visit many coastside towns like Yenişakran, Çeşme, Aliağa, Dikili and Gümüldür; If you like historical sites you can see the ruins of Pergamon, Smyrna and Bazilica. And the city life of the downtown in Karşıyaka, Alsancak, Konak are amazing😊🚵♂️
U should visit to Kadıköy in Istanbul Asia side
I stayed there for a week at the end of my trip 😍 I much preferred it to the European side actually!
Turkey is very beautiful and priceable for tourists. Because those prices are really expensive for us because of the bad economy. Sadly in our country we can not live easily :(((
As a male Turk I'm moving back to Turkiye next spring 2024 . Canada is expensive too my friend. That's why I moving back to Turkiye. I was born in Istanbul, visited Turkiye many times but making the big life change. It's not even a life change as I love Turkiye. However most of my relatives and my father live in Istanbul , not me I will be living little south of Urla. I have a flat in Istanbul I rent to 2 ladies. I could tell them to leave but I have a ❤.
Hakan Tunaoglu:) BTW I m learning good Turkish. My mother didn't speak to me in Turkish when she took me to Montreal in Canada. I'm excited. I have cousins in Izmir, alanya , Istanbul... I wish you the best best 😊
So didn't you go to Alacati when you were in cesme?
I did not
CESME VER GOOD
$24 flight, so cool. I’ve never heard of such a thing in the US
We’re very lucky in Europe for the cheap flights!! They are often cheaper than land travel in many countries 🤯
I flew from Cork, Ireland to Amsterdam for $70. I think flights have gotten cheaper in the pandemic because airlines companies don't want to fly planes super empty. You might want to look into it if traveling currently doesn't make you nervous.
It's very expensive for the Turkish people! So its basically cheap because our currency is suffering :(
You went to Çeşme and only waste your time on Altınkum beach? No Alaçatı colourful streets? no windsurfin? no Ilıca beach? you just wated it, I say
Have you done a spot in Ankara?
I didn’t go to Ankara on this trip! Would you say it’s worth visiting?
Oh yes!! But only in the summer.
Great video but for me a non vlogger they dont let me on transport for free lol..
It was nothing to do with being a vlogger 😊 just a bit of luck and some kind staff!
@@BackpackingBananas ahaha great stuff ..
Türkçe alt yazı lütfen
But who’s Jeremy???
just a hookup
She met him in Istanbul, and they hit it off really well, so they're traveling together.
When did you start dating jeremy lol?
she goes through them pretty fast, or they get tired of her pretty quick.
@@summerwatson3416 bloody rude! you are a jealous troll!
@@summerwatson3416 When you travel you meet people and enjoy each other's company a short while. Hopefully, you have the luxury of meeting them again, but often that's not the case. So you savor the time together while you have it, and there's nothing wrong with that. It has little to do with people getting tired of each other and a lot to do with meeting people who live in other parts of the world. The fact that she's pretty free and open about this is a good thing. I wish more people would show the true side of backpacking and travel the way she does.
@@TheShauNanigans yess!! 100% agree
guys please learn the name correct before you make a video.
Cesme is usually very expensive during summer but everybody is there in summer.. its ibiza of turkey
How do always manage to find a fellar in every trip.
They find me 😂
Pronounced as Cheshme
Ahh thank you!
@@BackpackingBananas no problem 😉
🍌
You should be more respectful when there is an Azan ( call to prayer )
I think it’s pretty funny that you emphasize Jeremy’s name (very French) lol and that’s great. But you repeatedly pronounceÇeşme wrong. Chesh-meh would be the correct pronunciation. I cringed every time as probably most Turks would. Love your videos with a style like no other however you seem a bit rushed more often than not. Slow it down and smell the roses. Peace
No one ever corrected me when I was there so unfortunately I was none the wiser 😅😩
I guess we all have different travel styles 😊✌🏼
@@BackpackingBananas nevertheless love your platform and really enjoy watching and listening to your point of view. Safe travels 😎
And yes someone should’ve pointed that correction out so not your fault.
Hi peeps, i like turkish men and turkish people. most from the netherlands look a lot like handsome italian men all over europe. I usually don't see a difference. but it is a very beautiful country to have a holiday. but unfortunately everyone in turkey is depressed by the current president. I hope Turkey will be okay again someday. in general they are very hospitable lovely people. but right now people in turkey are dangerous. PS: if you want a turkish man then find an alevit. because they are very free in their faith. they are allowed to do everything and they do not go to the mosque and do not do Ramadan and never wear headscarves. 😛
@@skyhighbora thanks Bora :) you're welcome respect you.
I think Turkish men and Italian men are very similar looking ! Don't forget Istanbul was at one point called Nova Roma!
@@yaprakcetin5558 Here I thought it was once called Constantinople.
Alicia we love our president.
That’s a lot!!! A lot of uncalled stereotyping of Turkish and Italian men along with the Alevis. What other stereotypes do you have? And is Turkey that dangerous that all these travelers go there and return home safely. I’m sure you didn’t mean any Ill will but you’re getting the attention you must’ve have been craving. Enjoy
Too much selfies and not enough "travel " views.
