WHY TURKS LOVE ALAÇATI AND ÇEŞME?

- When you visit the lovely peninsula district of Çeşme you will understand why Turks love Alaçatı and Çeşme town. It's become the playground of the rich, because most people can't afford the prices there. The stylish old Greek and Ottoman restored houses, narrow streets lovely, bars and restaurants create a wonderful atmosphere you can't find in many other places, many wealthy Turks and wealthy foreigners have luxury villas here and prices for accommodation and eating out are possible the highest in Türkiye. At the end of April is the Alaçatı Ot Festival which attracts thousands of people, especially those who can afford it!

❤we love Turkish Riviera. Hello from San Diego, California
Be very careful with the San Andreas fault line, my friend, just like the northern Anatolian fault line in the Marmara Sea, the room is very dangerous, it can break at any moment!!Man, we both live on a thousand kiloton atomic bomb. 🤔🤔🙃🙃🙃🙃The Eastern Anatolian fault line has been silent for 400 years and Kahramanmaraş Pazarcık 7.7,7.6
I’m from LA and I miss So Cal every single day. Regards from Venice, Italy.
Hi. Can you take me to California?:) I want to save my life from this hell? :S
We love the US, especially SD 😍 🎉 love from Türkiye 🇹🇷
@@jeffmorrison2915 Hi. Are you happy in Italy?
It is so sad that as a Turkish student I can't afford to have even three days vacation in a city in my own country. Even though this fact makes me angry, it is still nice to watch İzmir from you videos:)

@@georgebuckland5429 Ciddi misin????? Best windsurfing in the World is in Alacati. we visit western Turkiye every other year with friends from Belgium and Germany. we Love this country
If its Türkiye then it is Belgique and Deutschland.. You'll have to decide, and if you do please never ever refer to Greece as Greece but as Hellas.

Your videos are always enlightening and your narration is refreshing to listen to. 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
You’re amazing. Greetings from LA. Turkey actually is a very beautiful place to visit. I’m impressed.
I love Both You so much Dear Uncle Mick and Dear Aunt Trudie.🥰😍🤗
I have to say, I really love your videos. I’ve learned so much. I’ll be going on holiday 2025 for the very 1st time to Turkey. I can’t wait. Everyday, I fall deeper and deeper in love for this country.
We Love Cesme Region ❤ 🇹🇷
Much love from Australia 🇦🇺
Great Holiday destination for my self & family.
Very close to Greek style, looks amazing
Some historical background to these places. Alaçati, as well as Çeşme and Eski Foça are old Greek towns whose beautiful old stone houses, churches and windmills, as well as citrus fruit trees and mastic gum (brought over from the Greek island of Chios) were all built and established by Greek people under Ottoman rule. Unfortunately the Greek people who created these towns, architecture and industries were forced to leave their homes in the early part of the twentieth century.
Mick Abi & Trudie Yenge, another great episode. You're truly the best ambassadors of Türkiye 🇹🇷
Turkish people, make Turkiye great again! Please...
Definitely
unfortunately they didn't made it... In the last presidential election in 3 days ago, they choosed the same man again (the reason of the all of mess in turkey. bad economy etc.) this country will be worse than now...
…sorry
🥲🥲 yapamadık
I would not say "top rich", but yeah Çesme and especially Alaçatı are popular mainly among the upper-middle class, secular and many famous people such as TV personalities, actors, singers etc... It is also a very popular summer destination for local tourists... For those who do not know, there are dozens of such towns all around Turkey, and millions of people living like that, so it is not a very small minority living there
You are very sweet couple by the way :)
🤠👍
Not top rich? Have you seen the house prices there. As a Turk you need to be pretty rich to be able to afford a house there.
@@Oabcieycorhci Majority of the crowd that visit Ceşme or Alaçatı do not own any property there, that's what he/she is referring to.
@@Oabcieycorhci Yeah, I own 3 small apartments in Harbiye, walking distance to Taksim Square. If I sell them I could buy a villa with a pool in Alaçatı. I am not even considering myself middle class. I go to BİM and ŞOK for market shopping, lol :))

YOur Video´s are lovely !
I used to have a restaurant in Alacati 8 years ago but I moved LA. I will open the same concept of restaurant in Santa Barbara next year.
it looks pretty safe at night to walk around etc, which is something we miss here in US..
Yes it is safe
Specially big cities and touristic areas are surprisingly safe here. I think it was a result of the decision which government had around 2005 and a couple update on laws specially for robbery. They start to put people into jail for 15 years just because stealing a cellphone. This kinda finished the basic robbery. Kill someone instead of doing purse snatching, you'll have less sentence. And since there's not much drug user, nights are not scary that much.
The upcoming elections in Turkiye will be interesting.
Yes, I’m waiting till after the elections to make a film about it
Yet another exceptional production.
Looks very nice .
Brightened up my day as still a chilly 11 degrees in my neck of the woods.
Not that I’m counting but it’s only 124 days now until Dalyan.

I was in Alaçati last summer, I loved it! I stayed in a cute hotel you passed called Sultys 😅
How to reach alacati from Izmir?
We stayed in Çeşme this time last year and loved it. We could see the sea from our little locally owned hotel. Great restaurants and shops in walking distance. We went to the best lokanta there!
Which was?
Please tell me where 😊 I’m planning to go this summer 🎉😊

Greetings from USA . I dream about visiting Turkey. I love Turkey and Turkish people. I love watching videos about Turkey ,and your videos about Places in Turkey are great. Thank you.
It’s quiet astonishing your honesty of presentation
Most of the anglo-saxons and the rest of westerners try always to present us like an Arabic people or a Persian people …
But Turks are nor Arabic neither Persian as we are nor European neither middle eastern people but a people originally coming from Siberia, Northern China and Mongolia to build our new homeland in a much more sunny land than our original homeland of Mount Altay & Sayan… Since Atilla, we started to move West 😎
What We have learnt from this video is that Auntie Trudy likes her food and Uncle Mick likes his drinks 🍺 You guys are great ❤😊

Thank you again for your awesome videos!
The best video of Cesme. Thanks for advice❤❤
Looks lovely, another cracking video by you both. Thank you.
We have house in Bornova, Izmir and it was easy to go to Çesme and Alaçatı. Very modern people, nice food and environment. Sunny days and healthy life. very nice beaches, sandy with transparent waters. Even with earthquakes, we can't stop loving the Turkish Riviera. Now working in London, nothing inspires us a good life ( unhealthy food, no sun, pebbles beaches and extremely cold water ). We can't wait to go back to Izmir or Fethiye, our paradise.
My wife is Brazilian and she knows about beaches very well. Turkey is really nice and easy to go to Greek islands as well. Who goes to Portugal thinking that it's the best country (cold water ) to live, it means that doesn't know how Turkey is much better !
And I remember that around 10 years old it was just sand and no constructions. Incredible!
Other thing is.. Alaçatı is like Devon guys! Posh place but better
You should be back and see the beautiful beaches called Pırlanta and Altınkum in Çesme as well. Transparent waters
I can't help but had to subscribe to this lovely channel. You have an amazing Turkish Mick :)

I really enjoyed this and now on my list to visit!
Another fantastic video. What an amazing place. It's 55 days until I return the beautiful land and my first visit to Fethiye
Looks absolutely amazing there! Shame about the prices!! God bless you both as always! Can’t wait till your next adventures! Be blessed my lovelies 💜🕊️
prices will be soon better enough. right now there is both supression on foreign currencies (google for "kur korumalı mevduat") also a huge inflation in Turkish Lira. Wait for 8-12 months and there will be a better balance for foreign currency holders. i also tell this to my German colleagues.. Turkey is one of the best personal investment area.
These two make the most adorable couple...& love the content 👌🏾
