Some historical background to these places. Alaçati, as well as Çeşme and Eski Foça are old Greek towns whose beautiful old stone houses, churches and windmills, as well as citrus fruit trees and mastic gum (brought over from the Greek island of Chios) were all built and established by Greek people under Ottoman rule. Unfortunately the Greek people who created these towns, architecture and industries were forced to leave their homes in the early part of the twentieth century.

It is refreshing to see people who focus on the culture rather tha the best Insta photo spots and really do the deep dive--showing both ends of the cost spectrum. It all just shows the advantage of "experience" [aka age/seasoning--I can say that because I'm of the same generation] and how that experience guides you to what's important--how to enjoy life. The camera work, editing and music {spare me the techno stuff trying to make it "seem" excitiing--show me the goods] are top notch! I wish everyone traveled the way you two do!
