One thing I’d say is Tiffany held her composure very well. They must have a good relationship because I would’ve been quite frustrated trying to get my point across.
R&B Money!! Please let the artist talk... Give them the space to tell their story and experiences, flaws, what they overcame and learned from ; their not yours. To Tiffany Red, I didnt know who you were until now. Kuddos to you for standing your ground and not allowing someone else experience invalidate yours. ❤💃🏽
I was saying the same thing. I haven't seen an interview where J was overtalking the artist so much. I would love for them to bring her back and allow her to speak (why they listen with and open mind).
J needs to stop cutting Tiffany off. It's borderline disrespectful. Don't explain to her what HER experience was. She also cannot get a word in edge wise.
As a sidenote. As much as I love this pod, yall have very few women on - so when you do, it would be nice if you gave them the same space and respect you give the men and not cut them off.
Agree 1,000%
Exactly! Whether unintentional or not, I lost interest because she wasn't able to express her thoughts fully without being interrupted. Other guests (who shall remain unnamed here) have been allowed to ramble, let this woman share her experiences.
I definitely lost interest in this episode. Not because of Tiffany, but because of J.
First episode I didn't finish.
@@reeseereece I’ll name a couple. Omarion and Musiq.. Omarion says 1 word every 10 seconds and Musiq just goes on and on
Came here just to see this comment. Cuz if it wasnt said, I definitely was gonna say it. 👍🏾
Tiffany is a GOOD one! And she has EXTREME PATIENCE, cause I been done went off on J Valentine. 😭
I hope more media platforms take notice because Tiffany Red needs to be on the Breakfast Club and Angie Martinez.
I’m with you on her going on Angie’s podcast she will definitely be heard and also be in a safe space….I don’t feel like she will get that on the breakfast club though
Love this thought. I’d love to see her on other platforms as well.
I Swear Whenever you guys have Brandy on the Podcast I need y’all to make a video of all of the people that put her in their Top 5 favorite artist. Because Almost every week her name gets referenced.
Brandy is mentioned in 97.9% of these episodes lol
right!!!! someone needds to do a lil compilation video of her name mentioned hahaa
FACTS! There needs to be a big edit of it because this is incredible lmao
Brandy is the 💣 ❤
😊😊😊😊😊
This is one of y’all greatest episodes solely on the fact that Tiffany spoke on how unfair it can be being a songwriter in this industry. It’s not as sweet as people romanticize, and she brought up some great points.
Muni long said the same thing
They need to have Keri Hilson on to take about it! But they’re probably scared to associate with her because of JayZ and Bey☕️
Valentine, you were cutting sis off while she was trying to explain how SHE felt in HER situation. Like bro, you weren’t there and her feelings are valid.
that part!! like what's the point of having guess especially a majority if these unknown c list people if you ain't gon let them finish their thoughts!
Agreed 1,000%
It almost came across like he was in his feelings or something 🤷♀️ just saying
To be fair, she never expressed herself well when she had the mic. J interprets fragments & weaves exceptionally well, and Pieced together coherent ideas, which is a host ultimate job. It's a bonus that Tank and J have a plethora of experiences to draw from to stand in the gaps when needed like this. E.g. shebdisnt sign with Underdogs because they didn't like her. We get it. But what do aspiring writers learn from that? So J probing/suggesting emotions being bad business. 👎
@@AnnaMaeBullock I disagree, and if he listened to what she said and how she felt around those men, he should’ve adjusted his tone-which proved her point about the industry bullies. Just because a business WAS ran on some gangster mess, doesn’t mean it should continue. The industry should be for artists by artists and industry experts who conduct business in a professional manner. How can they be in favors of bringing back Artist Development, but keep cutting her off as she’s trying to make a point about having someone to teach her in a BUSINESS that she was brought into. Why can’t we advocate for training and mentorship in this BUSINESS? Also, a songwriter shouldn’t be expected to have to do all the things that an artist in the spotlight has to do to earn money at a fraction. That’s like telling a professor he has to have Tik Tok engagement to ensure that his class will always meet it’s student quota because kids will be familiar. He didn’t go to school for Tik Tok…It’s not his job to promote himself and advertise his class, but that’s what he has to do to make some extra money POSSIBLY from endorsements. Her point was forget how it was done or is done, but how can it be done and where everyone benefits and specifically are compensated fairly.
AND: It gets harder for some people to articulate themselves as they feel unheard, interrupted, and invalidated. You can see her frustration and they could’ve done better as hosts.
She is a TRUE ADVOCATE. Speaking on behalf of those who have been silenced or fear losing their means to live…I hope and pray the changes she is speaking in will impact so many!!! 🙌🏾🔥🙌🏾
I hope this will help the ones that fear of speaking up, Speak Up .... Thank you Tiffany Red🎉
She is NOT the person who should be in charge of this fight (although the fight is Needed). This woman because she is completely out of place (meaning- she's NOT in her feminine and acts very masculine while attempting to be in charge of a movement which is NEEDED but she's should NOT be the leader.) Imagine Tiffany being a wife, or girlfriend, or a mother (very cringy horrible vision)- she's fat/unhealthy, acts very ghetto, inarticulate, while cursing like a man playing sports- WACKNESS! @lovesraines
Tiffany Red is speaking facts. I'm a songwriter. We often get treated unfairly and we wrote the song.
Writers in general are mistreating because we aren’t brands of the product. Look at the WGA Strike. Look at the work Ross Golan had to do for Writing Credits and how credits are defined for a song.
This episode got real lol J gon stand ten toes on his thoughts and she did too! The back and forth conversation was really educating to hear both sides, this was needed!
Yes and I loved it❤️💪🏾💯
I agree 💯💯
THIS! ❤
Agreed
Definitely would’ve loved to hear Tiffany finish some of her points .. but great interview! Love this show
I had to pause after the intro to look up Ms. Red and after reading and listening further, I am 100 Percent (pun intended) glad she is on this couch to have the conversations that were needed. Shout out to her activism on behalf of creatives and getting folks to think, and always shoutout to J and Tank for using the podcast to have these conversations.
The fact that Tank and J weren’t comprehending the 2% was something that needed to happen out loud. Tiffany stayed activist ready and grateful for that. Looking forward to the rest of this podcast
Most informative episode ever... a great dialogue with disagreement. It's ok not to agree without drama or malice.
I thought it was so informative!
A lot was left unsaid….
Tiff's voltron was IT!!! Dare I say, one of the best, if not the best! Excellent taste!
I completely agree 🥰
As an aspiring songwriter I’m enjoying and soaking up this conversation
Let’s collab. I’m in Houston
Yes!! 🤗
That's dope bro.
I feel like this interview is at the root of why you both started the pod. This was a true education on the business of music! I agree with Tiff, the shaming often scares people away from asking /learning. Shout out to her!!
Every part of the information we received was definitely needed, but I’m sad I had to rev myself up to watch the rest because the way her experience was overrun gave me flashbacks 😂 and just spoke to the experience women have in the industry. As soon as the word “emotional” came up I knew the interview was over 😂 please don’t explain a woman’s experience for her, you don’t know!! Love y’all! ❤
This part 1:12:50 needs to take shape. She is an advocate who desires for change…just because you once slept on the floor does not mean for someone else things can’t be better/different . R&B Money is undoing and shaping things that have been in existence for yeeeaaars. This is another good one…🙌🏾❤️🙌🏾
I appreciate Tiffany Red speaking up and standing in the gaps! Even having to fight in this conversation to tell her story and p.o.v.
Im surprised y’all kept interrupting her! I know things get a little passionate/heated but zanggg……😭
This was a good pick though! & im still rocking witchall 🔥🤌🏽
that part!! like what's the point of having guess especially a majority if these unknown c list people if you ain't gon let them finish their thoughts!!!
That was literally the best vultron I’ve ever heard in Rnb Money Podcast history. 💯
Right! It just made sense. I could actually see it. Lol
AMEN to that!!!
Here in 2024 watching this episode and I will say that both Tiffany and J are strong on their points while Tank listened and learned (I hope). I to applaud her for telling her side of what she dealt with being the only female in a male dominated environment at that time. I'm in a male dominated building right now as a courier, especially management and it's kinda horrendous knowing that these men go home to a woman.
Thank you Tiffany for pouring your knowledge and heart out but enduring to continue to be the powerful woman that you are. By the end of this episode you seemed to have been able to come out the victorious one because you listened, you learned and you fed all whom listened food for thought... All of our paths were walked very differently but we all can agree to disagree and hopefully live and love each other afterwards.
I hope she'll return for another visit because I'd like to hear a follow up on how and she's doing now. Thanks guys and Ms Tiffany for what was the most... Interestingly intense couch conversation to date. Thank you Tank and JV for learning from this one while you give us your time, sweat equity, patience and total selves for All Things R&B!!
I love this Sista! I've never heard of her but, POWER. Keep doing you, Sis. 🔥🔥🔥. So many artists are just desperate to get a break, she's not. Experience has taught her that if you believe in your talent, you will find your way. She's rare, but, totally on target.
I liked this conversation. This woman called herself a disruptor and I love it.
This was so fun to watch because it went from a interview to a passionate conversation about their experiences in the industry. When you have accomplished people talking about what they are passionate about in a comfortable space the energy changes. Neither tank or j Valentine disrespect her...smh shout out to her for taking on the job for advocating for the artist. Great episode!! ❤❤
This was a great conversation. Tiffany made some great points. J is so business oriented and very passionate about his opinion. And Tank is right in the middle agreeing with both and trying to assist in getting Tiffs point across respectfully. He definitely doesn't like confrontation lol.
This was a real ass conversation. I'm not in the music industry. I'm just a fan. Some people are saying such and such was cutting off etc. It gets like that sometimes when things get real! Loved this.
Right. I took it as a conversation rather than an interview. I liked that format for Tiffany and them because they jumped right into the lessons for the creatives that need them. Hopefully they’ll have her on again to interview and go through the discography… but I liked this episode a lot. J is super passionate as Tiffany is and they were debating their positions.
Miss TRed is Absolutely Necessary 💯, this was educational! Bravo 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽 and thank you for having Tiffany Red as a guest, she gave excellent insight and examples on publishing. 🎉❤ Protect and Support Her!!
Jay seems like he was trying to create his own narrative. She seems like she didn’t forget where she came from, acknowledged that she learned a lot from her experience with the writing/production team but didn’t want to be in a space where she wasn’t respected
This was such a great and important conversation! Tiffany you’re a GAME CHANGER! I appreciate everything you’re doing for song writers! ❤
Very interesting and loaded conversation. If you've ever had a foot in the industry you know exactly what she is talking about with regards to the frustrations, especially as a women in a male dominated industry. We can not pretend like the experiences for men and women are the same. It is competitive across the board, yes, but as a woman you deal with many different dynamics in these rooms that have nothing to do with your talent or negotiation skills. Kudos to her for speaking her truth. Get MAKEBA RIDDICK on her hear PLEASE!
Here every Saturday for the content , supporting j valentine , tank , the guest and the culture ! Love it here
It’s definitely tougher for Women in the industry
Tiffany's point is being missed, because she keeps getting interrupted before she can fully finish a thought or point.
I agree! It changed my perspective on the show. She is talking about her experience as a female and he took over her experience.
They didn't mean any harm, though. It's natural for men to do that with women, even when not harmful❤❤❤
@@canwejustloveeachother2550 for sure. I think they just got lost in the discussion, because they were passionate about the topic at hand. I don't think it was intentional at all. I just wish she would've been able to get certain points across, because they were super valid points that need to be addressed. Especially when she was talking about how writers can't always afford to go in and negotiate. Sometimes it's either they get screwed in terms of their splits percentage or the song doesn't get placed. Sometimes even writers with placements don't have a lot of leverage. They either take scraps or they don't get the placement (and they get a bad reputation for being "difficult").
@@DS-nh4gu Yes, yes. You make perfect sense. Thanks for exercising mercy towards the guys while still understanding the girl. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I Don’t Think They Intentionally Did It They Just Got So Into The Conversation No Harm Done❤️
Jesus J Valentine, I’ve never been so infuriated listening to an interview. You invite this woman on your platform to share her experiences and grievances with the industry (a unique experience that you will never be able to relate to or fully comprehend because you’re a man who’s already established), and you just railroad her with whatever mistakes you assumed she made to put herself in that position. Why have someone come on when you’re not even trying to listen to what they have to say? It’s frustrating and I’ve only heard you do it with Tiffany and Muni Long.
The whole point is that you shouldn’t have to have your publishing stolen from you and you shouldn’t have to sell yourself as a personality in order to make a living from your songwriting! Y’all really sat there and justified an artist stealing a huge chunk of a songwriter’s publishing because of their ‘artistry’, and that’s INSANE! That is the problem! Whitney, Celine, and Barbra completely transformed and elevated the songs that were written for them, but they weren’t forcing the writers to give them a piece of the publishing.
Not to mention the fact that the only real place women have been able to be present in the music industry is through songwriting, where they’ve constantly been exploited and abused for their work. These topics can’t even be discussed because you are so busy cutting the woman off, but it perfectly perpetuates what happens with women in this industry: they speak up and the man (often who Carrie’s his own level of power) invalidates their experience. You don’t think it’s weird that the biggest female songwriters in the world don’t want to write songs anymore or have basically retired? This would have been a beautiful opportunity to talk about this crazy phenomena, because I’m 💯 sure a major component to the issues they deal with have to do with them being women in an industry that doesn’t protect or respect them.
🎯
0lkkkl
Yes their exchange was very cringy to watch. I should’ve counted how many times they cut her off. I think it’s a respect thing. There was none of this energy for Letoya Luckett. Still a very informative interview and I agree with your point 100%.
This!!! 🎯
PREACH PREACHER!! J Val needed to STFU!
Where’s all the songwriters at? Tap in! 🤘🏾
Let’s collab. I’m in Houston

@@Keepitorcanitreviews hey 👋🏾 🤘🏾
Yoo!
@@LOVPage yerrrrrrr
Tiffany is telling J Valentine her reality and he keeps trying to tell her some other shit interrupting her. STFU J, listen sometimes. She was trying to share her experiences- we don’t want to hear what if - she’s telling you what it is. Tank was so professional and delicate how he handled this interview. Dope podcast.
This lady is necessary! Wow!
Ready to learn about Tiffany Red👏🏾 Thanks R&B Money Podcast!
I love this episode, it was more of a debate than a interview. But please let your guess finish their point first before y'all jump in with y'all point.
This episode was really informative 👏🏿 👌🏾 👍🏾
that part!! like what's the point of having guess especially a majority if these unknown c list people if you ain't gon let them finish their thoughts!
Very informative episode! Thanks Ms. Tiffany for your contribution. I'm on beat stars as well. There are many avenues to make passive income & you don't have to be be broke until "you make it." Thanks J. Val & Tank for the best podcast.
The "Valentine" underestimates his own brilliance throughout this particular podcast. He is truly that Uncle who will give you "game" to live by.
THIS THE EP. I BEEN WAITING FORRRR!!!! Iykyk - Tiff i love you girl. You set the standard for no BS in this industry and you are so loved. Just an fyi. Been following your journey the last few years and im just encouraged.
Before you sign…take the TIME and READ that damn contract!! I love it!! This was one of the BEST and much needed episode on the BUSINESS of music. Thank you all for sharing your wisdom!
This is what advocacy looks like. Different perspectives on the road to solutions for a common goal. My first time seeing this young lady and I am very proud of her voice, poise and tenacity. R&B Money, thank you for providing this platform for her.
A good conversation with creatives from different backgrounds, life experiences, and perspectives. It’s needed. I’m glad to hear that She has a supportive team. I Respect her passion and tenacity! I’m not a creative, but I’m an advocate in my own right. She’s building bridges, for sure! I salute you! I hope she comes back again. Thanks for the conversation R&B Money!
Took me a bit to warm up to the conversation but enjoyed the interview & learned a lot about Tiffany Red. Thanks Tank & J for giving us the privilege of knowing who is behind the scenes of all this great music!
Union for music artists creators period!
Great interview Tiffany Red is a rarity and genuine person. I definitely agree with get a job while doing this music thing.
I hope she is heard! Our black men should stand up and support a black woman advocating the change in the industry. I see it from all angles, but I feel Tiffany still wasn’t heard, and was cut off a many a times, even in telling her story and expressing her emotional feelings from what she experienced. This was enlightening but also disappointing in a sense.
Yes I agree with you 1,000% I felt like they were pouncing on her every time she brought across a point
@@tanyarivas4248 yes, and in the end the didn’t even give the musical intro into the segments. I feel like when they do the women of the industry after every 4 males in the industry we don’t get their everything that they give the males. It’s already a male dominated world but for our own men to do this to women pioneers is a disgrace.
@@lotusmystichaventhis episode was recorded quite a while ago- before they started doing the musical segment intros. It was mentioned in the live chat during the premiere. I agree with the original commenter's point about them cutting her off & not letting her finish, though. Very frustrating.
How about they stand up for each other. Always trying to make women victims, they can stand up also for bruthas
@@kentthomason6285 who tried to make women victims? None of that was stated from myself or anyone that commented. The woman presently stated in the video she wanted to see more melanin brothers standing with her, because she was also standing for them too! Stick to the topic and stop making derogatory comments. This is the issue not thinking a well out thought before commenting. I don’t disagree we can all be unified, but that was the point that you negated from.
This was another enlightening episode @R&B Money Podcast. Sis came through and dropped 💎. The chat was ignited and that’s a sign of all that you guys do in bringing out these important, needed conversations. Very good episode. 💸❤️
Thank you !!
Loving hearing her perspective!!! Life gems once again. " you got too much makeup on" 😏😏😏 cant wait to hear her Top 5!!! Under dogs connection once again 😊
You definitely have to have your own voice!! Speak up for what's right!! 💪🏾🙌🏽
This was a true advocate/educate episode. I respect all parties view points, and I learned a lot.
Very encouraging, insightful, and informative. Tiffany Red is a researcher!
I will say this was informative in every way. There were times she was interrupted but I heard what she said and she still got her point across. When you are passionate about something and having a discussion it can get heated. But at no point did they appear to have any animosity towards each other… she dropped some knowledge 🌹whoop whoop to CCC..Blackwood NJ
Well fast forward to the Grammys response. Now we know who Tiffany was speaking of. Her friends were really trying to guide her. As much as they want her to speak her truth… these men are in business with some of those who are blocking folks. It makes sense now. Tiffany is on FIRE 🔥!!! They wanted to tell her story and journey and what has led up to her advocacy.
I'm not in the business, but I feel like I was in another life because I love music so much. This was very informative & I'm sure it will help somebody. She definitely built the BEST VOLTRON I've heard so far 🔥
Lol I know people are tight in these comments a bit but this has been my favorite episode.
1. Tiffany's approach to bringing equity and order to a creative industry that has historically preyed upon the genius yet ignorant is EVERYTHING.
2. Valentine wasn’t rude. Just passionate. It was apparent that he meant no disrespect. They all interrupted each other on multiple occasions. That happens A LOT when passionate people who know each other outside of the current medium have a convo about their common interest. They are literally talking, reflecting, and brainstorming in front of us. It happens. Not the best for an audience trying to follow (not me, I wasn't frustrated by the quick-bouncing conversations bc my mind moves like that too 😅), but there was no harm intended. I gathered love, respect, and passion from everyone's energy in this convo.
3. The convo hopped into the business of it all SO quickly that I feel like we missed out on more of Tiffany's story. I would love to learn more about her career highs, lows, etc. Not bad, just means we need a Part 2. 💕
4. I ain't even got to the voltron yet but I'm hype. Tiffany is my type of girl. I already know it's about to be everything. I might return if it it excites as much as I think it will.
You literally said that perfectly!!! I agree with everything you said! I didn’t sense disrespect or rudeness at all, from either party. Just some healthy dialogue about an industry that is forever changing. Both Tiffany and Valentine made great points which led to a great conversation for the LISTENERS and VIEWERS who may have an interest in joining the industry or being a songwriter themselves.
He didn't just cut her off . He was literally trying to invalide her experience and saying that what she felt wasn't really valid because she was too emotional and needed to think about " the business"
I think as a society, we need to learn the difference between intention and impact. You may have meant well, but you didn't actually DO well. Taking accountability means you account for both. If you can have intentions of love, respect and honour, you can also take the time to present your passion in a way that doesn't negatively impact your ability to show those things.
Ok never heard of this young lady. This was a very educational podcast, from both sides. JValentine great teaching moment.
I agree! And also, Tank is very good at seeing both sides of a debate and verbalizing the points on each side, calmly.
Damn, I miss the piano playing. Come on Tank, we live for your passion in singing Your Top Five and I Ain't Saying No Names.
This has been one of the best interviews of the series, very informative!👏🏾
HANDS DOWN THE BEST EPISODE! MOST SPOT ON INFORMATIVE ONE!
this episode got a lil spicy lol…. love hearing all perspectives though. j should’ve just let tiffany finish her points though. he was a lil defensive.
Yes he was….it almost came across like he was in his feelings a little bit
I love this interview and the discussion. I would challenge many who felt she was challenged and unheard to look at it from a different perspective. I feel like this open the door for people to talk about it and also have her on other platforms to discuss it.
This was such a great episode. I appreciate the different perspectives. I also want to shout out Tank for being the one to bridge the perspectives together! I am not a musical anything just a fan of music. But this episode gave me the inspiration to start moving differently in my human resources career. The Rnb money podcast gems are applicable to any field. Thank you!
probably the best comment here... they both had perspectives and a podcast especially this one is meant to be informative and give insight from all of those perspectives. I am sure she took things from this as well as J, and for any artist whether writing or singing can learn from both side.
VERY knowledgeable, passionate and mission-oriented young lady; healthy and educational debate between her and J. Valentine, and Tank is excellent with seeing both sides and articulating such, calmly.
Woooooowwwwww! Now this. 😮 Heard a few artists and writers elude to these scenarios but she was so educational and transparent.
Loved this episode. She definitely holds her own. Shout out to @Tiffany Red and @RNBMoney podcast 🙏
Im so glad I tapped back into this episode.
J Valentine, stop with the “I had to walk 5 miles in the snow with newspaper in the bottom of my shoes” while some colonizer is sitting high up on the hill in his big as house off the back of the gifts provided by the gifted.. which in almost every scenario in this life is Black folk. I admire her. She’s brilliant. She understands the long game. This evil that exists in the music industry under the guise of.. “well that’s just business” is a sheet to cover evil. This doesn’t exist in only the music industry. Black people are being robbed in every facet imaginable in this country. Way to go queen ✊🏾👑
And it's us doing it to each other. It's shameful.🤷🏾♀️
Tiffany for the win!!!🎉🎉🎉
Whew this definitely in the top 10 of guests/conversations !!!!
Yes love she’s so ASSERTIVE!!
T and I balance each other so well 🤍🤍🤍
Another great interview. Man J, let the sista share HER story. The struggle bus aint a flex..creatives deserve to get paid. They aint got to sleep on the floor. Shes dope asf. I love her advocacy. PLUS she done wrote one of the dopest songs in Kpop by NCT called Boss.
This is a really good episode. I'm glad she kept it 💯 about her dealings with The Underdogs. I think her story got cut short due to The Underdogs being low key defended, but overall great info in this episode.
Yes, I agreed with the Underdog being defended. I have heard J and Tank talk highly about the Underdogs in previous episodes. When Ms Tiffany told her experience about the Underdog she may had stepped on somebody toes. That’s why her experience was downplayed as emotional. Hey, we all can agree to disagree.
This was a very good episode about the business side of music.
@@rachsalomon5819I think that’s because they know she’s full of ahot. Tiffany has a reputation in the industry and it’s not flattering
@@amcra1the industry labels anyone who speaks out on its BS full of ish... Not everyone rolls over and spreads them wide to get fruckd... Maybe J has but Tiff obviously said No and Rich people don't like hearing No.
This was hard to watch because they spoke over her the entire interview and told more of their stories than hers. They did not let her finish her thoughts.
Wooo the RnB Fathers was speaking on this one! 😤✨💪🏾💯 I thoroughly enjoyed this!
Valentine kinda made this hard to listen to. I’m 50 minutes in and he is interjecting too much making this convo about him. Like damn interview the person, not yourself.
Education is power! Love this convo
This is raw education! So necessary, so honest and good. Thank you so much.
I can truly say I enjoyed this podcast. There was a lot of learning and understanding and appreciation for people who I know who do work in the music industry and why they fight the way that they do. There was a lot of information from three different point of views going on in this podcast. And every single person was passionate. I believe yes everyone from what I have read in the comments, people talking over around through.. to take my personal feelings out, some of us included myself isn't always in the room where Tank, Tiffany, J was in.
They have their stories and their history. Their facts. But if I truly took the time to just really listen I can hear everyone. Inherit everyone's point of view and because of that and taking away my biases. I was able to learn a lot. I don't know what I could do as a person who is a lover and a fan of music. But this definitely makes me want to make sure we as POCs get taken care of in that industry. (My opinions are mine so they are not up for debate.)✌🏽
So thank you all once again. J, Tank, looking forward to next week.....❤
It's so crazy how this lack of education goes full circle for all industries. So good to hear this because this is exactly why most creatives stop being creative. The money is there, but getting it is clearly hard or else this wouldn't have been on the show! Hats off to all 3 of you for airing this out about the industry. I love this podcast!!
This might have been my favorite episode. 💎💎💎
I love her and you all for this. This was needed and I am glad a woman got to tell her side. That union part is tricky (union equals representation)!!!! When I was doing BGV heavy, I was told I needed to be a part of the union, but that also meant there were some gigs I couldn't take and some I could. As I said, this episode is/was needed!
love her spirit, lovely
It can be modeled after SAG-there are dues to pay and you must have done commercials, movies, tv, etc. in a certain time frame in order to continue to be a member. Make basic classes available and mandatory-if the writer doesn’t participate in those classes, they are let go from the union.
I remember how my mom as a state employee had to participate in health sessions like the gym or walking a certain amount everyday in order to keep her good health insurance through her state job.
It can be done.
I really enjoyed this interview! So informative. I also enjoyed J. Valentine taking the lead on this one and speak from a place of experience.
I really believe this was a balanced interview. I think Tank taking the middle road was good to not feel like they were double teaming her. I also feel J played devils advocate well.
This was thee most informative episode ever! I was glued the whole time, loved loved it😍
Valentine little off This one he not letting her tell HER story lol she said I have to give you the other side or rest of the story. You cutting her off too much
Agreed. I completely understand what she's saying, but she's not being allowed to finish her point before she gets cut off.
Females got to stop trying to be in male-dominated industries and then complain about men being men y'all fought for equality you gonna get equality
Right he so passionate I get it but he being old man get off my lawn. What I’m saying is correct like no let her speak
See….and that’s why it’s really tough for Women in the industry…look at that something simple as explaining your journey or your truth is being dominated by the macho male….this was a total disappointment for me and I have a lot of respect for these guys but this was not a good episode for me at all
@@tanyarivas4248 i was about to say the same thing! She was literally about how she knew the Underdogs weren't fucking with her and he literally didnt let her say shit.
She needs to be invited back, so she is allowed to speak! ❤️
She had the best voltron in the history of rnb money !!
J VALENTINE !!!! PLEASE LET HER FINISH HER THOUGHT !
This episode was crazy lol. 1. I dont know the friendships, maybe they go back and forth like that.
But 2. You brought her on, not to lecture her for us to hear her story. Why she on trial? Thats crazy.
3. First interview that made me feel a type of way.
4. I appreciate the old man wisdom of J, but he being like an old dad. U gotta open up and allow someone else to speak.
5. I don't know tiffany at all, maybe she is a crazy personality and deserves all she got buuuuutttt let us hear her out, it only made J and Tank look bad judging and condemning her.
Ok byyyeee. Live, learn, come back
👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 ❤ this. We tell and teach kids they can change the world. Then, the child becomes an adult and talks them out of changing the world.
As a fellow fan of Omarion I wanted to scream through the screen that “Midnight” was on the 21 album along with “Icebox” , “Entourage” , etc …
I was screaming with you. 😂
@@featuredbyjas 😂 happy I wasn’t alone !
A very necessary discussion ✊🏾. Kudos to Tiffany, Tank & J. Still got about an hour to go on it but I like where it's going so far.
J Valentine is so Arrogant! at many points in this episode.
If it were a man or one of his homies saying they were hesitant to take that first deal for the reasons she layed out and stood up for themselves in that moment. He’d have no rebuttal and let him speak and stand up for themselves as a “man” there’d be no interruption from “J know it all” SHUTUP and let the guest speak. ITS HER FKING EXPERIENCE. I also don’t doubt that the industry is totally different today in the way songwriters are getting compensated.
Can we hear Her!🙄
OOOOOO WEEEEE 🤯!!! “Our ignorance makes a lot of money.” GEEZ LOUISE!!
Love Her song DEAR GOD its so poignant and raw noone talks abiut going to God about ybeir decisons. Such a talent!
RBM is my love & addiction. Due to recent SM posts I had to come back and rewatch. High respect for Tiffany for challenging the powers that be. J is unfortunately on "this is the way it's always been." Tiffany is on evolution, changing the status quo, and doing the right thing. No one should work any hours and make $0.00. J is on the I got f'd before so oh well let the next generation learn or suffer. How many bio pics have we seen from artist getting f'd from our own people? Every generation has to fight for change. Right on Tiffany. 👊🏾 ✊🏾
