Bill Anderson will never die! He's the rock of country music and has been for decades!
He like us all will die
I'm a song writer, I have lots of songs & I'm a Pedal Steel Guitar player. I have my first song published & it is on an album. I've been told by many people that my songs are great. But all roads to somewhere, are blocked to good talent, by those in charge. We don't want no new songs, they say. Well the New Country Songs aren't worth listening to. Hip Hop, Horseshit & Rap, won't last long, but neither will I. I'm glad you folks made it or we the people wouldn't have had good country to listen to....
You hit the nail on the head
I agree
Far too often, success has little to do with talent. Keep it up man, we’re rootin’ for you!
Jimmy Capps was the best
I write songs, and they seem to come to me within the same day. At times, I sit down, and a song comes to my mind along with the tune. I do not want to be a singer or star, but I love to sing. I am 80 years old, and I have heard many a country singer. There was Hank Snow, Ferlin Husky and my favorite Johnny Horton. There have been many great singers. Even whispering Bill Andersons " Still" was one of my favorites. My daddy played and was in a contest with Little Jimmy Dickens in Indianapolis. Many, many years ago.
I am 83 and love these songs.❤❤❤
This is a show of inspiration. "TRUE COUNTRY".
Beautiful accent Bill Anderson, love it
Love the reunion shows . They are all good but Whitey Shafer really stands out as a singer!
The best entertainment .
This episode was long overdo.
Thanks for posting it.
We need Volume 2, please, and thank you so much for this. I share them with my father, who is 86 and loves this music and whom I learned to love it from.
I had a song out . My Brother and I. But you use too. In the 60, s.
The schoolteacher and the songwriter is the beginning of humanity. without them, NOTHING!
This people should write some songs for the people that are trying to sing country music today
Three things: It's amazing how a great song gets even better when you have an outstanding guitar player. There is not one new singer in today's country music that can compare with Whitey Shafer. None of these people like to blow their own horn, as an example, Sonny Throckmorton sits there like he got lucky a couple of times and he's one of the greatest writers in Nashville. (Sonny is on episode 3)
This is way over due, 👍 Song writer stories telling the stories and time they put in day after day . song writers are hearts of making
such wonderful songs god bless you all 🙏🌹🌻🌲☘🍀🍁🎼🎵🎶🎸🎻🪕👍👍 Canada
This is a awesome show hope more are done
I've always preferred the songwriter singing it and this is real music to my ears!
Thanks, great stories, great show.
I love how everyone sings along with the music. These songs are part of this country's fabric. Good stuff yall.
This might be the best episode. Can’t wait for the next part.
Didn't think I was going to like this as much as the other family reunion shows. I was wrong!
Such talent all in one room. Thanks for sharing.
THIS IS PURE COUNTRY GOLD....LOVE IT
Hope that there is going to be Episode 2 and maybe 3. Love hearing the stories. Also that is Sun Studios in Memphis. :)
Love These Reunions
If you just listen to him singing, Whitey Shafer on the song " I never go around mirrors" in my opinion could be easily taken for Merle haggard. Maybe I'm just prejudiced
OUTSTANDING
Yet another outstanding show from CFR...and as usual Bill Anderson is wonderful in teasing little insights and comments from everyone on the room.
It is true that many artists have recorded 'She Thinks I Still Care'........and the beauty and strength of the song is that it lends itself to most voices with its easy lilt and cadences. Frankly put it is very hard to sing it badly...
I would recommend listening to the late Michael Nesmith's version of it.
I reckon he truly captures the song as Dickie Lee intended it to sound.
James Hennighan
Yorkshire, England
So nice to see the faces to go with the names we're already familiar with nut never see
16th Avenue ❤ what a great voice 🎉🎉 and the story so touching and so true 😊
Love Whitey Shafer!
Love this song thank you
👍
I recognized a few of
the songwriters being there especially
dickie lee. He's really nice to talk to. He has done a lot of shoes in Michigan.
Sing it Jeanie... you should have sang it yourself.... But Faron did it well...
Too many songwriters pay their dues to the liberal avenue 😮
FCC
Never underestimate the hairpiece.
