We agree that this looks like the DEFINITIVE castlevania hack-rom fan-game. It has such a level of detail that it even seems like an individual Fan-game like Lecarde Chronicles 1&2 or Seal of the Curse, it is very difficult to believe that this is a hack of Portrait of Ruin And it's not even finished yet!! I take my hat off to all of you

The partner tag SE is mildly annoying though Feels sorta ironic that original PoR is the last game with Maxim's legacy(Stellar sword) - meaning either Kischine is no more, or retired from hunting the night entirely

I think someone just needs to make a Dracula X/SoTN style Castlevania engine. Maybe we can get some definitive remakes of the DS trilogy and even some brand new fan games made from the ground up. Clearly Konami has no plans to give us a new Castlevania game anytime soon that isn't a mobile game or pachinko machine.
I think all the old Castlevania games should get a remake using the same sprite & game design like in Portrait, with free roam maps, new weapons, items, enemies, bosses & modes. They'd bring back alot of Castlevania fans.

Dunno where else to say this but i accidentally discovered stacking in this game when i was farming the final guard, it was funny seeing them die so quick that their death animation didn't play and they just disappeared
This was by far the CastleVania fan game i've ever seen. Props for the creator who made this demo of CV: The Shadow Rebirth, Looking forward to see a full fan game playthrough after the fan game's release.
All the remixes here using Portaits soundfont are so good, they sound so official and on point. Love that Psycho Solider got some recognition and was remixed. Awesome stuff here.

My favorite Castlevania game of all time, is definitely Castlevania I. I grew up playing it, even though i kept raging at how hard it was for me 😂. I never beat it as a kid, but I got up to death. Beat it as a teen though, and it was SO satifying to get that ending. 😅 I love a lot of the classic Castlevania games. I also love AOS, SOTN, and OOE. 💕

Maxim and Juste look and move so well. It reminds me of Simon from Super Castlevania 4 but on steroids! The music and sound design is top notch!
