In the footage shown there is a thing called "shongololo last of the Living trains". Shongololo is an African word for millipede. I owned a giant African millipede about 24 cm long. Sadly she passed away recently. When colonists arrived in Africa and introduced trains, the locals would refer to them as shongololo as they reminded them of the giant millipedes.
Great review! The artwork caught my eye on the eShop but I still felt a little hesitant about the game overall…until now! I’m definitely going to pick this one up. You gave lots of info without giving too much info. Thank you!
@@thevolta89 Yea I see what you mean Chase, the visual style looks similar. I haven't actually played that but I believe I own the PS4 version of the game.
Yeah it looks nice! I'm currently playing Planescape Torment on switch (after 20 years it is still a masterpiece!) and I'd love another slow paced, story driven game
1.99 USD and I'm really considering it. I mean, it's only a couple of bucks but I don't need any more games I don't play. Last serious "point and click" I played was Moment of Silence, which was incredible, and before that was Uru which I also loved. Myst was the first I ever played and then 7th Guest followed by the rest of the Myst series. I loved or really liked them all. Is this game similar to any of those?
I'd say this is more akin to Beneath a Steel Sky or something like that, it has some of the obscurity of Myst and 7th Guest but the puzzles arent quite there. I also recommend checking out "There is no Game"
Found this game on the Nintendo E Shop wanted to see what it was like so come on here to see & I like it so going to buy it now it's on special for $1:50 & just subscribed to your channel.
@@SwitchStars awe oops oh well it was only like 2 bucks glad I didn't get the bundle for 30 lol got both hk massacre and this for less than 5 bucks not into point n click but it seem like they are very similar but idk maybe less story and rpg focused but i was mainly thinking of the way to control cuz I don't think of point and click as monkey isle I never did play cuz it meant something else in my day point n click games were like that called myst and it's all puzzle and u dont move nothing in the game does or rarely maybe if u actually solve a puzzle lol it was so boring tho n each screen needed load so idk if its it's like that or more like the other thing that was bg1&2 or torment all those games only its like that but looks like y control only 1 guy instead of 6 n les rpg?
It's still a really good game Nick, that's a great price for both those games. Both Myst and Monkey Island are classed as point and click adventure games, just from different perspectives and the puzzles in Myst are much more technical, whereas the old Sierra games usually had a lot of plot elements involved with them.
While this seems interesting, I’ll probably pass up on this one for the time being. While it seems well made has a decent story, the visuals are nice, and the audio appears pretty neat, I might wait for it to go cheaper due to the long loading screens, odd pacing, and long travelling times bringing it down a bit. Thanks for the review.
Interesting…….I got a game called gong king massacre for like a huge sale and I guess with it came this game for I guess free…..I mean it’s free so I guess why not
@@SwitchStars lol no, I meant what you said lol, damn just started playing it to yea I was told it was like hotline Miami it is but like it’s so much harder and this game I know nothing about idk if I’ll like it but I mean it was free
PLEASE, Just STOP saying "InvenTREE"!! It drives me insane! Its "invenTORY" There is no "tree" in Inventory! Sooo many UA-camrs stupidly mispronounce this which makes NO sense if you are actual "Gamers" like myself. Ive been playing games for over 30 years & so many of them have an "inventory" so I have seen the word THOUSANDS of times, so it shouldn't be possible to mispronounce it :)

Yea lol though by looking you wouldn't know he was a living train. Bugs creep me out in general, thanks for the lore Detririv0re 😊🚉

Thanks Sheri, glad I could help you out. Its a good Sci fi adventure game and I hope you enjoy it, let me know how you find it 😊
Now's the time man, it's on sale !
It’s on sale now, less then two quid. Excellent review. Good tip on paying attention. I’ll give it a go at that price.
Well worth it 😁
Very interested. Wishlisted. The whole atmosphere just caught my attention at the first clip. Good review!
Yea it's quite an atmospheric game, it portrays a post apocalyptic world really well and the lore is interesting. Thanks Melissa.
Reminds me of Tides to Numenera in a way.

If you enjoy slow story games im sure you will have a good time with this. I don't believe I've played planetscape though 😊
Thanks for the review! This game looks great. Thanks for putting it on my radar.
You're welcome Peter, hope you enjoy if you decide to pick it up.
That 90s adventure nostalgia....😍😍😍
Yea It does take me back a few years this one Lucas.
Currently on sale in UK store, £1.79. Can't go wrong for that price 👍🏻
Aye cheers Lee, I agree, well worth it at that price.
89p now and the first title I bagged in the Christmas Sale 😁

Well worth it at that price
Been looking forward to this one for a while. Thanks for the review since not many others covered Beautiful Desolation.
Yea I liked the look of it when I first saw it Dezert, glad I got to give it a go. You're welcome and thanks for watching.
Looks great and perfect for me. Thanks for the review!
Yea Jeremy if you like a slow paced story game with some point and click style elements you will probably enjoy it.
This looks pretty cool, your review may have swayed me. The price point is nice too!
If you're looking for a decent sci-fi adventure game then you might enjoy this one Wez
Found this game on the Nintendo E Shop wanted to see what it was like so come on here to see & I like it so going to buy it now it's on special for $1:50 & just subscribed to your channel.
Its a good game if you enjoy classic adventure-puzzle games, hope you enjoy Esta and thanks for the sub.
An interesting game. Looks like something I would enjoy. Thank you for the review.
Yea it's a decent point and click Lun, the puzzles can be a little obscure at times but it's good to sit back and chill with.
$1.99 right now, reminds me so much of fallout 1/2 especially the conversation cutscenes gotta grab it
Xmas day 2022 its 89p, might as well try it!
Enjoy Amber 😁
Do you think you can review Connection: Rehaunted?
I'll see what I can do Tking, I did play the first one but didn't get around to reviewing it.
Looks very cool
Yea I thought it was good David. If you enjoy point and click style adventure games then you will likely enjoy this.
I've got it on the wishlist. Waiting for a price I can't pass on or a physical edition. Whichever comes first.
Yea it's reasonable for its current price but I expect a few will be waiting on a sale. Hopefully they get a physical release in the near future 😊
@@SwitchStars I've had to double-dip too many times not to wait for a possible physical.
Yea lol I reckon there are quite a few people in the same boat.
1$99
Well worth at that price.
So it's like a baldurs gate style gameplay game?
Not really, those games are dnd RPG games, this is more of a point and click adventure, like monkey Island or broken sword

£1.79 on eshop at the moment. Got to be worth a pick up for that price.
I would say so yea, well worth it.
This game looks gorgeous IMO
Shame it's jus a point and click game
I hate those
Yea it's not quite a point and click but it essentially functions in the same manner 😊
Cheap af right now.. since it has no combat - would you say it’s a relaxing game to play? Just something to enjoy that runs at a reasonable pace?
I would say its reasonably relaxing but the puzzles and the back and forth gameplay can be a little frustrating.
While this seems interesting, I’ll probably pass up on this one for the time being. Yea it's definatley worth a play Flower, the load times aren't long but there is a lot of them due to frequently moving back and forth through zones
Might grab this @ $3
Worth it imo B B
@@SwitchStars I did, but 11gbs 😩 lol
Aye lol its surprisingly large!

Nope, it's a story driven adventure.

No problem 😊
Love the idea of this game, but not the execution :/ (I hate isometric views)
I grew up with games like Diablo, Baldurs Gate and Ultima so I've always loved them lol

I was thinking about grabbing it. did you like it?
@@BigMacOrange not my cup of tea so I didn't get it.
they should pay me for playing this 💩💩 hole of a call game 🤣👿🥶

Because the correct British pronunciation is tree
1:48 why the graphics looks so trash compared to PC? weird.
Because its Nintendo Switch? Lol
@@SwitchStars wait really it feels like it went from 1080p (pc) to 380p (switch).
Not sure why, it could just be the environment and all the greenery.
Stupid question
