Severed Steel looks really cool, and Record of the Lodoss War I keep hearing nothing but great things about. I need to check both of these out! Really cool seeing the varied picks here, some of which I never heard of! Great video man!
This channel made me finally buy a switch lite and it's probably the best purchase I've made in years. Soooo many games in my pocket and while laying in bed😂. Witcher 3. Borderlands 3. Dragons Q11s. Astral chain. Sea of stars. Persona. And many many more. I've been mostly buying digital but im trying to build my cart collection up seeing as literally every old nintendo systems games thatvare out of print are worth soooo much more than their original retail.
Always great to watch TVGS. This channel always helps me get through the overnight and brings me back with nostalgia and also brings game never seen before. Wonder Labyrinth with Deedlit of ROLW is definitely a game worth playing. It’s amazing.⭐️
After seeing a few games I know like "Haiku the Robot", "Severed Steel" and "Record of Lodoss War", I recognised one indie fighting game which title's "Blade Stangers". Aww, I remember I bought that game on Steam Sale a few years ago, but I didn't have time to try out. After hearing a lot of good features of this game, I should try out when I can have freetime. I played Street Fighter, Killing Instinct and Tekken games long time ago and I could enjoy Blade Strangers too. 🙂

I'm a huge Lodoss War fan, so unsurprisingly I loved Wonder Labyrinth. I had a lot of fun with Fairy Fencer F too. I haven't played the sequel yet, but I'm not a huge fan of tactics RPGs. I think the last one I really liked was Arc The Lad, so it's been a while!
Cheers for giving Gunvolt a shout, LOVE that series! Gunvolt 3 was one of my favourite games last year, actually :) Loved the art and characters in Trinity Trigger but sadly never finished it due to... putting it down for another game, coming back to it later and then getting lost in the desert map lol. Oh well.

Ahhhh the best first world problem to have. Honestly if i decide to never buy a game ever again I'd still not be able to finish all the games on my consoles
definitely enjoyed Deedlit when I tried it on game pass ( though the difficulty was a tad high for me & I had to give up on it ), and I have Jack Move on my Xbox wishlist. That Haiku the Robot looks pretty cool too... maybe a future part could include some personal favorites of mine...The Stretchers, Good Job, Part Time UFO and Boxboy + Boxgirl. I never see anyone talk about those gems!
Surprised you went with Wonder Labyrinth as opposed to Team Ladybug’s other Metroidvania - Touhou Luna Nights. It’s very similar in visual style and gameplay, but ultimately feels a lot more well put together, more fair in the difficulty, and has a very even pace overall. Plus it’s wonderful soundtrack that always is a delight to hear, both in the main areas, as well as the boss fights. ❤
I would actually argue that Wonder Labyrinth had smoother progression and a much better difficulty curve, tho Luna Nights had more flexible abilities to play around with. Overall though, I prefer Wonder Labyrinth, mostly because it didn't add a completely BS final boss like they did with Reimu in Luna Nights... damn that boss annoyed the hell out of me
Played Kaze and found the difficulty at the end of the 4th world to the 5th world too much and shelved it. But enjoyed the game and appreciate the PS1 pixel art style. Couple of games I thought that was 'hidden' were Dragon Quest Treasures, Astral Chain and Oninaki
It know it strays from your usual content, but could you do a Steam Deck Hidden Gems Compilation? I keep looking for great Games that are a Blast on the Steam Deck that arent the usual well known ones :)
I never got into luminous Avenger because of a fairly shallow reason, I absolutely loathe Copen as a character. When they introduced him in gunvolt 2, I could actually feel all the fun in the game get sucked out by his mere presence so the idea of having to play a whole game as him was about as appealing to me as jumping bare foot onto some lego pieces. Luckily, Inti Creates gave us Gunvolt 3 and that was absolutely wonderful and incredibly brave since they ditched the titular character and completely revamped the gameplay mechanics. Best thing tho? No Copen!!
There's an easy mode that adds extra checkpoints and I think one more HP. Though that does kind of make trying to get 100% in the autorun levels more frustrating at times.
What stinks is that I would enjoy Metroivanias more if they were selectable stages rather than one continuous map. I.e. like Mega Man X or Demon's Crest. I like platforming, fighting stuff, bosses, and new powers. I don't like tapping and hugging every wall for a "secret."
I always appreciate obscure fighting games with a cast of obscure characters. Now, Blade Stranger's characters are not obscure per see, like Shovel Knight, Quote, and Curly Brace, but they are also not characters you'd immediately think of for a fighting game, nor characters you would normally SEE in a fighting game. Quote was a cool inclusion, but the selling point for me was no doubt Umihara Kawase from the fishing pole platform series of the same name. I love those games and how they give you Tetris syndrome with their sometimes infuriating platform challenges. As for other obscure fighting games, did you know that the anime character Shana from "Shakugan no Shana" appeared in the Japanese only PS3 game Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax?
Severed Steel looks really cool, and Record of the Lodoss War I keep hearing nothing but great things about. I need to check both of these out! Really cool seeing the varied picks here, some of which I never heard of! Great video man!
Glad you found something new my friend 🙂
Haiku the Robot is straight to the wishlist. I've never seen it on MetroidVania lists for the switch
Kuso, Pinkman+, Neko Navy, Fight N Rage, Block Knockers, Rolling Gunner, are all solid gold and worth a look Switch fans.
Thanks for the tip, I’ll check them out for part 2 🙂
Fight N Rage and Rolling Gunner are excellent!
Lmao no intro no vaseline, just pure content. Nice

Dude yes!! You will have so much material on the switch, I can’t wait

I did not know that Severed Steel ran that well on Switch, I've played it on Steam and absolutley fell in love with the game.

Phantasy star has its definitive edition on switch and on sale is lika a dollar. That game has some charm

Great Compilation. I must add. If you don't own a Switch, all of these games are for PC too
I always look forward to one of your videos coming out. It's nice to relax and see so many games I haven't heard of
Spicy Intro this time!!

Great you got it back and thanks for the video 😊👍
Great list! I love collecting for the Switch, and now I have some new games to look out for!

Fairy fencer's combat system reminds me of Quest 64. In a good way. It was a fascinating way to handle turn based combat, and I miss it.

amazing list!
Last game's graphics strongly reminds me of the PS Vita for some reason. Gives me Trails of Cold Steel vibes.
My wife and I currently playing Trinity trigger. While we wait on cat quest 3!

Cat quest 😍
I haven't played 2 but damn cat quest was good.. gentle bros...
I see Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth, I like. Simple as that.
Kamiko although short is really good.

Paradise Killer

Great choices!
Only one I didn't know about is UnderHero, nice~
how's underhero ?

I've seen this list in a few other UA-camrs hidden gems.. did you play any of these games yourself.. just a question.

many if not all of these games are on steam... not what I call "switch" hidden gems
No said it was exclusive. We get it, You hate the switch.

@@thatvideogamesshow i can only recommend it, but thanks for considering it ^^ i will have to get a Switch aswell though, Library looks awesome!
That's wt im asking. Also wen i got t this video it had a message saying the loader took down the video
Was a mistake in the first upload. Took it down and released today with it corrected.
Was there something wrong with the first upload?
Mistake in the first upload so had to adjust it. Apologies!
My Lady Sayo is the best switch game

Kaze was a great looking game, but it is WAY too hard... some levels are near on impossible. Shame as could had been good.
Git gud

To each his own. The giant cohesive map and secrets hidden in walls are two of the major reasons why it’s my favorite genre of game
is that even count as metroidvania anymore?
I guess a teensy-tiny little nitpick... Kaze is pronounced Kaz-eh, as it's Japanese for "wind", which is fitting for the game's theme
Funny how all of them look retro.
You changed the intro music from the Tekken one 😮
Just mixing it up 🙂
Brigandine: Legend of Runersia for p. 2
Blade strangers is $40 regularly 😂😂, nevermind on that game
While I liked this selection, I would rather prefer a "Switch exclusive hidden gems" video, due to most of these games also available on Steam...
It's sad how Switch games are mostly games from other consoles anyway
I'm so glad that I have a switch
Such a great console!
