Great list, I had never heard of some of these.
I only have Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom, Mario Odyssey and Xenoblade Chronicles 3.
I've beaten Breath and Odyssey, and I'm most of the way through Tears, but because of my backlog I haven't even started Xenoblade Chronicles 3.
La Noir, and Witcher 3 look good, possibly No Man's Sky.
LA Noire's open world is not empty. There is not much to do besides Landmarks and Hidden Vehicles, but the World feels alive.

I have l.a noire and it never felt empty 2 me, it felt really huge tho.i love this game.
Dragons Dogma is also really good if you like customization, free world roam and medieval stuff. The only thing lacking with it is the npc's. feels like you're in a ghost town.
Lego City Undercover should have had a look in. Especially for everyone who’s less keen on fighting baddies 😅
Rockstar needs to drop Max Payne part 1 and part 2 for the Nintendo switch this would be agreed move this game has a cult following

Hitman WOA is open world excluding being cloud based it have great locations, that could’ve been introduced in this video

I loved subnautica. Definitely very unique and memorable for me (weirdly, I couldn't get into Below Zero). I didn't know they were on switch though!

I played it back during early access so I wasn't getting the full thing, it was cool but something about the ice didn't catch my attention (I don't like being cold lol) so naturally the tropical climate of the first subnautica made it my favorite of the two.

Nope. It's well optimized and loads quickly. For the best graphics you'll have to tweak a couple of things.

Dragons Dogma gets no love 😢. Its by far one of the best fantasy Open World games available on the Switch, easily top 5 in my opinion.
How most people overlook it is way beyond my understanding. Worse part of this is the fact that this list excluded Dragons Dogma and included Monster Hunter Rise, which isn't even an open world game to begin with 😂.

love the video but the ear blasting outro music is unnecessary , no one likes their eardrums blasted, or to have their speakers or headphones to peak and fuzz, also those of us who wear hearing aids, causes distortion and feedback in them, so just do the intro or outro music same volume as the video. please, just as a constructive critique . :-)

Immortals Fenix Rising was the first game i bought for my switch on xmas day because it was super cheap. It was ok, kinda meh. I got bored with it pretty quick and yes it feels like a knock off. A knock off of Ubi Softs other game... Assassins Creed 😂😂 also its art style was a total Breath of The Wild rip-off 😂😂😂

Monster Hunter Rise is not an open world game in the traditional sense. Unlike say, a Skyrim or Horizon: Zero Dawn, you won't be traversing a huge open map with the whole world accessible at once. Rather, it'll take a similar approach to other Monster Hunter games.

So confusing how people consistently talk about Mario 64 as somehow different from Sunshine, Galaxy, Galaxy 2, and even 3D world in a lot of ways… as though it’s something to return to, or needing to be referenced. It was a groundbreaking title on release, but was instantly eclipsed by Banjo Kazooie, and every single 3D Mario game that followed, including 3D Land on the 3DS.
The 3d land/world games are very different though as they were originally made for the 3ds and are more restricted.
Mario 64 is unique and should be returned to in some form.

Literally just dont get a switch for playing anything thats not nintendo or nintendo adjacent. It's not worth it, they almost ALWAYS run like dogshit and the portability doesnt mean anything cause i GUARANTEE you dont travel enough to get use out of it. Nintendo and nintendo adjacent, 3rd party will never be good.
Tears is a glorified mod pack of BOTW, all it does is add cheat codes to the base game and breaks it entirely, and both versions are empty and added with repetitive bloat
