There are a few factors in getting a accurate numerology readings. One place I discovered that succeeds in merging these is the Numerology secret blueprint (google it if you're interested) it's the best guide i've heard of. Check out all the interesting info .
I prefer the Universal Waite deck over the Radiant because you get Pixie's original font, plus the faces have not been redrawn. Just more true to the original while giving us such wonderful vibrant color. Love your videos!
Thanks for taking the time to show us the various decks, I enjoyed seeing all the different art styles and treatments for design and card shape. It really helps me narrow down what my preferences are for art or symbolism.
My first and favorite till this day is the Instant Tarot Reader by Monte Farber and Amy Zerner. It has beautiful art, and gives very straight forward answers and they have always been very accurate readings. I have two decks, one very old and used to do my readings and the new ones I just keep them to admire the art work. I originally purchased them out of curiously and for fun purposes, I never believed that they could really worked.
I started with the African American tarot deck by Lo Scarabeo. I love love love it!! It has given me nothing but accurate answers. I was trying to work with the Apokalypsis tarot deck today, but I can't really resonate with it. I'm hearing a lot of people complain about it so I'm not the only one.
The Aquarian will amp up your reading skills in a very short period of time. I always gift it to students who show the most enthusiasm and it always has the same results ... like taking ten steps forward. I can't tell you why since even the New Palladini doesn't work the same way (but is still a very good beginners deck as is the Robin Wood which I'd like to add to the list). Edit: The Hanson-Roberts is also an especially good beginners tarot based on the Rider Waite. It is playing card size and cute as a button therefore great for small hands. :)
That was my first deck over 20 years ago and I still have to agree! Love Morgan-Greer as well but these days I'm in love with the Golden Klimt tarot by Lo Scarabeo.
During this Big Quarantine of 2020, I've felt compelled to stop resisting my interest for tarot and actually start learning its art. I selected the Vivid Journey Tarot (#5 @ 15:36) as my starter deck. I really, really like it a lot.
I’m very new to tarot, but I’m not new to the general subject area. And I have a thought about the gifting idea. If someone gives you a deck than there are a few things that happen. Firstly, that deck is a representation of how the other person thinks of you, and what they think you will like to work with. Secondly, the deck will always remind you of the person who gave it to you, and that may be an influence on your ability to work with the deck. I feel this is true of any object, and that is generally what people have conveyed when trying to sell gift items to others... so, yes, I feel too that it is best to get a deck that resonates with you and perhaps with the kind of experience you are trying to create for yourself and others. I agree with the idea that tarot cards act as a stimulus which help to creatively think about a life question. The cards are a useful problem solving tool, but the experience is more enjoyable if you have a personal connection to the deck it’s self and not the history of the deck or object, but there are no absolutes so there may be times when the objects history is important and helpful to an end or process... just a thought. Thanks for the video!
The decks you have shown are all so beautiful - I am just starting out so have ordered the Ridee Waite deck, but have added many of these to my wishlist - am just waiting to see how I get on 💓
I started studying Tarot with the Morgan Greer deck and am so happy to see it mentioned here. I still have my original deck and still pull it out to read with. Happy New Year!
Hi, I'm looking into the witches tarot and seeing that some of the same deck have "old" not so crispy clear images. What version do I look for to get the same witches tarot as in this video . Thanks !
I started with the Barbara Walker Tarot deck which I still have and love. Then I bought the Healing Earth deck after that and my third deck The Rock Art deck. If I had to pick decks now for a beginner it would also be the Everyday Witch, Morgan Greer, Modern SpellCasters deck, Hanson Roberts, the Green Witch.
My 1st deck was a Swiss tarot, that my mother gave me for my 26th birthday. I loved the colors, but wanted a RWS, to learn with. I gave that one and the book to my sister, and bought the pink backed Albano Waite deck, from University Books. I think I ordered it from the old Universe Book Club.
I LOVE Spiral Tarot!! I wish I had it when I was a beginner. The book is my favorite tarot book ever. So good. I love all of her decks, really. My first deck was Tarot of the Witches & it's a pip deck. It really helped me solidify meanings without a visual aid, which was good. But I would've preferred, in hindsight, to learn with a non-pip deck.
What was the daily working deck name? At 28:33 edit I got the name sorry I don't understand the English accent there but thanks Its funny cause that deck the Morgan Greer I have seen it before years ago and I gotta say that deck I like it since I saw it I think that is the most simplistic deck and cool deck built it's like a painting I like to paint so seeing this is fascinating for art
I bought The Rider Tarot deck over 5yrs ago. I just could not get into it. Speed forward ... I've pulled out the deck once more and again ... nothing. I get what I see. I talk to it. I meditate. I write down what I see in a card ... and around the 10th card I give up. I see literally the image. I get no meaning or reason why of the cards. Everyone recommends Rider Waite for the basics. And once you get your intuitive juices flowing you're on your way. Well I must be the only dry well in the community. I get no feelings what so ever with my deck. No emotions, no messages. I've read the book and I've tried memorizing and frankly I can't retain anything I read from one day to the next. My intention in even thinking of Tarot is for self guidance. Not to do readings for others. I'm finding it so over-whelming and ready to say 'crap, what a waste of money' is there anyone else out there that doesn't get Tarot? any one else who has no intuitive juices?
Llewellyn is by far the best RWS.....for me. I also like Everyday Witch but nothing comes close to Llewellyn. It’s a Soul Deck. I also love Vision Quest....a NON RWS deck and thank goodness for that 😜
I find your video insightful and inspiring. I’m new to the tarot world but, I’m picking the art up quit easily. I thank you for sharing these awesome tarot decks! I just ordered the Druid Craft, Bonefire, and Witches Tarot. I’m excited to explore all 3 new decks!
It is a good beginners deck for sure, I unboxed that deck, the Court of Swords are funny and the boobs in the deck are a little fictional but I do like the deck overall.
She means the list starts at that time. Not the video. (I felt like it comes across as really harsh when people say "the video starts at x time" as if there is no value to the intro. It's like trying g to tell a friend a story and having them impatiently say "will you just get to the point?"
Love your reviews here. I got a new deck called Catharsis Tarot. It's easily my favorite deck. It has 21 additional cards called the Elder Arcana for a more robust reading, even for beginners.
I started with the Angel Tarot but I realized that I depended heavily on the written part of the card and in time my intuition and natural sense of the card was fading. Now I work with Rider Waite Smith style decks and intuitively read the card first and then check the book for more info. With the Thelema Tarot ( I have it but haven't opened it yet) the 4 of swords is showing at the end of the video and it very clearly comes across to me as contemplation...thought... meditation...going within...etc ...I think I learned I'm more of visual reader from that experience
I had assumed when I saw it in the store that the Thelema deck would be Thoth based since with the name of the deck they are clearly trying to draw an association with Aleister Crowley.
the witches tarot was my first official deck! (I had an angel themed one from my grandma as a kid but I never really got along with it) I have 11 decks and I am hoping to get more.

Do you think the mucha tarot it's good for begginers? I searched about it and it's quite traditional so I guess it's fine but what do you think? Thanks.
I got the Thoth Tarot deck as a gift and I want to say. I do NOT THINK THAT DECK IS FOR BEGGINERS! I am a beginner at Tarot and the Thoth tarot (in my opinion) is very difficult. The book I read was very very complicated and the whole time I was reading it I was like "wwhhhaaaaaattttt?????" So just to let people know in my opinion the Thoth tarot is a little tricky. Well...maybe it is an easy deck to start with. Maybe the reason why I'm all over the place with the deck is probably because it isn't really for me. I got it as a gift so I didn't choose it. I bet you if I saw the Thoth tarot in the store I probably would look at it but move on because I don't really connect with it.
QUESTION!! where do I buy the efflorescent tarot deck??! I'm in love with it but I can't seem to find it anywhere, and it does not seem to be available on etsy. tia
Great video! Thank you so much for the recommendations :) May I know the name of the deck that is shown in the thumb nail of the video ? Thank you so much
Nice to watch, hard to hear, I did click the Like and Subscribe as you have a grasp of life that inspires, hope to hear more with the volume turned down a little rather that all the way up and still leaning in to listen. (:
Oh thank you so much!! This is one of my older videos so the setup has changed a bit :) Welcome to the Tarot family, I post a new video every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 10am PT Blessed 🐝
I know this is a year old, but PLEASE PLEASE RESPOND, or someone please do. What was the deck after the Morgan Greer. I can't understand what the title is. PLease! I really love the looks of it and would love to know what deck it is. THANK YOU!! Sorry for the CAPS, but I am so excited, and no one ever reads old comments and responds. But I really love that deck, connected to it as you showed it. But could not for life of me figure out what you said the title is. And I replayed it too. Thank you!!!!
And what is the deck after the one I am asking? I wish you, she, wrote a list or titles on the screen each as she went through. Obviously a lot of beginners are going to watch this and want some, but can't get the titles. A beginner might not know these just by saying the title, or a slang version that avid tarot readers know. Sorry, but it would have been helpful. I really liked a lot of these, but I don't know if you said the actual title, or the author, or what. And the one after the one I originally asked for, I have no idea what you said, lol. So please, please if someone out there in the world sees this and knows, can you please tell me the two decks names I asked after?? I really super appreciate it!!
Oh Lord! Lol. And what is the name of the one after that? The Druid Croft? Couldn't quite tell. I love 3 three so much so far and really would love the names.
I like you a lot doll, but one really cannot say what the best decks are for beginners and tarot students...that is so subjective. It is like saying what is the best pizza to make for a beginning baker. It all depends on the subjectivity of the baker. anyway, love you
These are all just my opinion, but this list is just what I believe the easiest decks to learn the tarot with because of their imagery. I understand that it is totally subjective! This was just to help people getting into Tarot who have no idea where to start.

Although I've been using Tarot for a few years, I still consider myself a beginner, and I definitely recommend Radiant Rider-Waite to start out with.

The witches deck (#4) was the first deck I bought myself and it has been a wonderful tool to learn with. The book is excellent too!

The Golden Tarot was my 1st deck 😊
Oh my god, the Bonefire deck is STUNNING!! can't wait to order it as soon as I can!!
Great suggestions! I would add the Mythic Tarot to this list. It was one of my first and really helped me to understand Tarot.
It's a great Tarot deck. It was my very first.
Lou Do you have a video of your top 15 decks for beginners by chance?
My first deck too
@Arabella Leppard the classic mythic tarot is the one I like. It’s out of print now unfortunately.
Druid craft is my first deck . Love it
Good choice! :)

You covered two of my fav! The Crystal Vision & Druidcraft 💓 which were my first decks apart from Universal RW
Llewellyn is by far the best RWS.....for me. I also like Everyday Witch but nothing comes close to Llewellyn. It’s a Soul Deck. I also love Vision Quest....a NON RWS deck and thank goodness for that 😜
Rider Waite works really well. I am a beginner so I went with the classic one that most have recommended.
I love the Everyday Witch I also suggest the Medieval Tarot of Lo Scarabeo was good for beginners
Wow, those Bonefire Tarot cards are stunning but with my small hands it’s not really easy. Hope they make a mini version some day 😅
Wow! I loved number 14! The Druid craft Tarot deck. Beautiful art work. I will get it when I get a chance.
the Lo Scarabeo deck would be on my beginners list, soooo easy to read :D
It is a good beginners deck for sure, I unboxed that deck, the Court of Swords are funny and the boobs in the deck are a little fictional but I do like the deck overall.
Ethony Yes, the play boy boobies! hahahahahaha I don't mind them, make me laugh :D
I think the Thelema deck is beautiful.
Witches tarot was my first deck :) love that one!
Video starts at 5:15
That is no good, can I ask where you found this video? Did you click on it from another site I will try and fix it
I just mean skipping the long into and getting right into the decks
She means the list starts at that time. Not the video. (I felt like it comes across as really harsh when people say "the video starts at x time" as if there is no value to the intro. It's like trying g to tell a friend a story and having them impatiently say "will you just get to the point?"
Im getting the traditional Rider tarot but I also love the Bonefire tarot ...
I'm looking for some advise on what version I look for as want the same crispy clear images as the one mentioned in this video. Would appreciate any advice!
I really like the llewell classic tarot deck.. it’s the only one that spoke to me.. looking for my first deck. Could not find online or google.. could you please drop a link?
I’m so torn about what deck to really sit down and use for a period of time ...I have all the decks in your video as I”ve been collecting but I bounce around from deck to deck. Now I want to spend some time studying. I’m drawn to many of them LOL OY! Xo
I still feel drawn to so many decks :)
Ethony I might ask each deck how they feel studying with me or use my pendulum 😊
Oh no I want them all!!! Great vid! GOT reference love it
love that bonefire deck~
Its such a stunning deck
We are all students 😇😘
Love this! My first deck was the Celtic Dragon Tarot by D.J. Conway... I love it but it’s not very traditional RWS. My three main RWS recommendations were all included in your video... My number 1 is Anna K (I bought 2 copies of her Indie version so I had 1 to use and 1 as a backup copy lol) my number 2 is the Druidcraft and my number 3 is the Centennial Waite Smith. I’ve since really gotten in to Pip Decks (they just seem to fit my reading style better) so my 3 main recommendations for those are the Noblet recreated by Flornoy, the New Choice Tarot de Marseille (I also bought 2 copies of that) by Rosario Salerno, and Le Tarot Noir by Matthieu Hackiere.
12:40 Lol I always see Ghost Rider too. QW does look like Felicia Day! Omg
Glad it is not just me?
I was just looking for some of the decks you're showing here. And thanks so much BTW. Well, I went to eBay and Amazon of course, my goto online stores. Anyway blah blah... Amazon is selling a Centennial style borderless deck! Gotta get that one :) No trimming necessary... I'm sure Ethony knows about it. But I think it might be relatively new...
Great list! I love the bag for your bonfire deck.

Hello Ethony,
I was just now guided to your channel and am loving going through your videos.
I am interested to know what your thoughts are about The Modern SPellCaSteR'S Tarot deck by Melanie Marquis? I have just recently gotten it. Beautiful darker style of artwork that really resonates with me. Very nice card stock and size/feel (although I tend to prefer the larger size decks (re: DruidCraft) and it comes in a really nice magnetic closing box with ribbon pull and 240 page guidebook with thick glossy pages.
Have you heard or worked with this deck?
Thanks! 💞🖤
Hi :) I have the deck and I love the concept and art work. I have just not spent too much time with it. I am glad it is resonating with you.
@@Ethony
Good to know. I appreciate your reply, Thank you!
Jane Doe does the modern spellcaster have the suits switched? Like wands are swords? I loved this deck but I’m a beginner and I thought it was not the best deck to start with! 😔 because reading the book the meanings won’t fit in rws sistem, right?
Do you think the mucha tarot it's good for begginers? I searched about it and it's quite traditional so I guess it's fine but what do you think? Thanks.
Yes that is a lovely deck for sure, especially if you find that you are drawn to working with it.
Fabulous list! Enjoyed very much. My first deck was the Motherpeace. Cracks me up, talk about non traditional. It was a gift, still love it.
Some Gay Guy completely agree it was the first deck I got and it made me feel completely incapable ! Definitely not an easy deck to read for me
@@natashajohnson6428 yeah it's very tricky!
Its deep and difficult.
That's why I want it, lol
I love the deck which is on your video cover picture. Do you know what its name is? Thank you a lot.
I am searching for best tarot cards
Which one is number #14
shadowscapes by pui-mun-law, I have never gotten more out of a deck than that one.
It is a lovely deck I adore it.
wonderful video, thank you!
QUESTION!! where do I buy the efflorescent tarot deck??! I'm in love with it but I can't seem to find it anywhere, and it does not seem to be available on etsy. tia
Etsy is the only place I have been able to find it. It may be out of print at the moment. Maybe you can try emailing the creator.
thank you for sharing
Great video! Thank you so much for the recommendations :) May I know the name of the deck that is shown in the thumb nail of the video ? Thank you so much
It was a stock photo. I am not sure what deck it is.

I am working with a lot of decks, I have the Druidcraft Tarot on my altar right now.
I love it ...thanks

Will buy a haunted deck for steep discounts, though. I mean, at least I'd consider it. :P
I should NOT be watching this video. You are a BAD influence!!!!!

I used silhouette deck
does the bonfire one come with a guide book?
Yes it comes with a large guidebook
After really looking at it though. It doesn't fit with me . I decided on fountain tarot. Have you heard of it
Is this me or did you wrap the spiral tarot in the slow holler « bag » that comes with the slow holler tarot ?
It is actually a piece of silk that my friend screen printed over 12 years ago
It looks so similar though !!! Thanks for your answer :)
Oh my stars how have I missed the Spiral Tarot all these years!
It is a beautiful deck, I treasure it.
Felicia Day is Quaking right now!
💗
Why would anybody want a haunted or possessed deck anyways? Sounds crazy lol
❤️🙏
