Something you might or might not have realized about custom layouts. You might have noticed the option to specify a layout as landscape, portrait, or both. Default for a new layout is both. With "Both", you can design different layouts for when your device is turned up versus when it's turned sideways (given the device orientation is not locked). It also translates to the computer app - you resize the window so that it's skinnier than it is tall, and you get the portrait orientation; as long as it's maximized or more wide than tall, you'll have landscape orientation.
Here is my custom set up I'm starting to use. One awesome function (as you explained) on start up is using the restrictions to set a monitor mix for IEMs. Once you assign a monitor mix on a phone or tablet, that musician can only use it for their individual monitor mix. We have been using that function for quite a while and it works flawlessly.
Three dots on a button means there is another function for the button when you long-press it. It's three dots for 3-second press. You should also see a progress bar in the button while you press it, as the time passes.
Hey Brother, as far as audio goes, a little over 50 years. As far as using this software, about 2 hours. If you remember back when we first met in the Google Podcasting Group, I used to get so tickled when I would read some of the "Top Dogs" advice to others. I can't even remember their names but I do remember some of the advice they gave to others. While audio is ever-changing, audio laws will always remain constant.
David does have a program for PCs and I know he is developing apps for new mixers depending on the demand. He also has a fantastic Facebook group called Mixing Station Users. I think that’s the name. I hope this helps.
Good morning and thanks for the kind words. I don't know anything about the XR18 but the EQ section should be just like the one in the video, after you click on the aux in you want to work with.

Good to know.

I am just learning the program/app and I am very pleased with it so far. On a side note, you can't upload pictures to YT comments. ;-)

Thanks.
Thanks Dana for sharing your experience. I'm learning Mix Station and this will be helpfull for me 👍
Glad it was helpful!
it is so clear that you really know what you're talking about, how much total experience would you say you have??

@@DanaTucker1 Indeed!! "While audio is ever-changing, audio laws will always remain constant. "
Gotta love the Pizza Hut comment. That is my “go to” meal on Wednesday before Worship Team practice. 😎
So good!

Hi Dana I like your videos. I just got Mixing Station. PC version for xr18 and i can't find the eq's for the aux sends

Have you shared this layout?
No, the best I can remember I never messed with MSP after the native apps started working again.
can you prepare the scene offline on pc/iPad on mixingstation?
That's a great question. I have never tried to do that. I mostly create everything in X32 Edit and then transfer those setting over to my Rack.
Mmmmkay?
Okie Dokie then. ;-)
