Don’t know this name but I started using a Tex T101, which is now G-Force, in my record setting Land Speed Roadster in 2004 and we never use a clutch after push off. This transmission appears to be exactly the same. Other competitors thought I installed an automatic. I’ve also gone to a Long Vertical Gate shifter.
There's many versions. Only one works well in drifting.
Thats damn insane. I love those sexy looking parts. I would make my tunnel transperant just to see shift linkages lol
Great idea actually!!!
I've got a carbon fiber linkage set on mine with the dale earnhart inc shifter, so I've been really debating a window in the tunnel
@@jessejloghry3647 woww
The only failure I've ever had on mine was because of the slave cylinder, it was stuck and essentially dumped the clutch in reverse at about 3k rpm and shredded my reverse gear. Other than that I always praise gforce for amazing products
Yeah, I had a slave cylinder fail once due to somebody I emergency loaned it to (whilst my car was being built) had used 5.1 DOT fluid in it. Failed later :(

Why do i hear Most Wanted music playing in the background?
Don't know actually :)
Im curious if you have ever tried using a muncie? There so cheap and from my understanding you can get any part or pieces for them.
Yes, I had a Muncie before this trans. The thing is that by the time they're upgraded they cost the same as a dogbox. This trans is developed on the outside design of a Muncie but the material is way beefier and ofcourse decades of NASCAR experience goes into it. I love the Muncie but I'd leave them to the muscle car restoration guys :)
Question for you. Is there any advantage to be had from creating a system to keep fuel cool? Tue was intercooler chillers work using ac to cool the charge? I know the comp runs are short so not sure fuel being cooled would be a noticeable benefit /cost ratio. Can you make a video in the future about fuel temps affecting performance? Thanks hope you are doing well!
@@Vgk36 if the fuel temps aren't high there is no need. Always choose the correct fuel pump & regulator
Chinese regulator and too powerful pumps will heat up fuel a lot
Also always run a returning system
Could one daily drive this if they practiced, in your personal experience. Want to put it into a weekend muscle car.
Yes you could
interesting stuff
So if you use it on LS do you use the stock clutch and flywheel?
You can do that, yes.
is there a generalized gear ratio or does every engine need a specific ratio to operate
We choose the ratio for each client, based on their engine & powerband and driving style. Have a database of many ratio's used by drivers worldwide
@@DriftJesus and quite a few people i have spoken with say a quickchange is a must with a h pattern dogbox or is the quickchange just to adopt driveability?
@@njdorset1050 its not a must for a dogbox, but if you run the power levels that succeed roadcar gearboxes (so 450bp / 500Nm) you really want a proper gearbox and differential. All the pro's and grassroots guys I speak to who switched to a racing transmission and QC ALWAYS tell me its the best decision ever and transformed the car. The dogbox / QC combo is great because you run all new stuff behind the engine, instead of 1993 unknown parts with wrong ratios and sloppy shifters. Most of our clients have messed around with roadcar boxes and diffs for years and spent a multitude of what our setup costs. As you see in the video, things like slip yoke driveshaft and split bellhouse are great elements for those who have experience with roadcar boxes. These things drop out in minutes.
@@DriftJesus thanks ive been trying to answer some questions to see the fine details in the setup and why do some people do it and if i should do it myself when the time comes. now i can plan accordingly
+1 for drop out speed,
Personal record is 24 minutes with the car on jackstands
What gear ratios do you run for drifting?
Depends on application, every trans we do is custom ratio.
that's why second hand trans rarely work, other motorsports ratio's are all wrong for drift.
@@DriftJesus I have a case and it’s getting rebuilt but I’m trying to pick ratios for the first three gears for drifting
What is the difference between this trans on the video. And the tex t101 trans.
These trans are custom to our specification. There's many differences in G101's , its like a crate engine. People think a G101 is a G101 but there's a lot of possible upgrades.
Approximately how much would you say this transmission weighs?
50kgs
Dose this box come with a 4 to 1, 1st gear? I have a t19 in a f100 that has the 4 to 1 1st, with 3:75 rear and 28in tires. So what I have has the perfict spread but it dose not like to shit above 5000 rpm well, so just inquiring what other options there are but not looking to buy anything right now. The engine in the truck is a mild built 390 fe and have a spool to help get power to the ground, need to get around to upgrading the rear to trailling arms to get of skip and have the parts allready.
@@1mouse3 4 to 1?
@@DriftJesus 4.02:1 ratio would be more correct.
The t19 has these ratios
1st - 4.02:1
2nd - 2.41:1
3rd - 1.41:1
4th - 1:1
I messed with ratio calculator and found this spread, that would get rid of a gap betwwen 2nd and 3rd along with spacing 3rd and 4th apart.
1st - 3.82:1
2nd - 2.42:1
3rd - 1.60:1
4th - 1:1
So some where around these ratio spread, is what Id be looking for. Say with the 2nd set, it show good for rpm range 2150-3400 and 3400-5500.
What shifter is that?
Comes with the gearbox as we sell it.
@@DriftJesus I already have a gearbox, im only curious to what shifter that is
