The ads are not the issue. It's the way you integrate in the video. Too intrusive.

So does it mean if anyone has a natural voice similar to someone famous they cant be an actress? Because that was the voice actors narural voice.

Loved the crypto corner at the end of the episode, shout out to Alex, who just earned my respect for looking at it, subjectively and giving an honest assessment of where the industry is at

Bitcoin IS A DAO! Stop suggesting that only fringe crypto is what DAOs are... The best (currently existing) DAOs are the ones you don't even perceive you're a part of! Hence the confusion on what constitutes a DAO (not useful to package it together with failed ux)
    Great discussion otherwise (as usual)

I was Googling literally yesterday about where the F@@@ Alex Wilhelm was. Now the answer arrives - here! At the risk of being one of those who posts public opinion as if anyone cares, any way - more Alex, less overall waffle whereby the content is over-explained as if the entire audience is new to this. I’d wager the audience for this is largely from the demo not needing hand holding when technical terms pop up.

No need to run cover for openAI, nothing in their recent demo outside of the macos app for a select has been shown

jeez this show has so many ads. 1minute too. i mean the show has great, informative content and all. but is the 10+ ads before, all throughout, and at the end really that necessary? obviously we are all free to skip them, but really? it's not like you guys are struggling youtubers and need the money to pay your rent. i'm branching out to other pods solely because of these obnoxious ads. keep charging absurd fees for them because you can, and i guess see what the data shows. see if your viewers all truly want to get plastered with ads all throughout your pod. keep making that money. but keep a close eye on your viewership numbers.

Great discussion on the latest tech news and founder salaries in the This Week in Startups video with Alex Wilhelm! The insights on OpenAI, ChatGPT, and the billion-dollar cybersecurity deal were really interesting. Looking forward to more episodes like this!

why do you insist on having a cohost? people literally come for you
you made the same embarrassing mistake with molly and here you are doing it again
you've literally shat on your old product. alex is not an operator or investor we dont give a a shit what he thinks

the news show is more dynamic when someone is there to read the facts and ask me insightful questions... give the news shows a test and let me know what you think after 10 episodes
note: we're still going to do founder interviews 2 days a week (and news 2 days a week)

@JasonCalacanis they can do it offscreen and prompt you in writing
you keep thinking this is the dinosaur age when you grew up. this ain't the tonight show where you can just swap hosts
you can't. it's 2024 and the age of dtc podcasts
the twist pod might as well be called the calacanis podcast
nobody wants to hear from this random fool. you can't separate the brand from you
you are destroying the legacy of twist by having these perma hosts

Welcome Alex Wilhelm! Why did people watch soap operas? They liked the stories. The introduction of computers into the workplace brought efficiency and improved productivity. It was a welcome addition. When we started using IBM's Dual Disk Display Writer no one knew how to program them. They handed us the manuals and said figure it out. I've been hooked on computers ever since.
