Marketing is actually an advanced form of black magic. It’s all about bending people to your will, by believing or purchasing something they probably don’t want or need. Black magic is selfish, white magic is selfless. Alchemy is about changing states, and is probably not a misnomer (regarding the title) as marketing is quite often all about selling a ‘lemon’, although not having read it, i couldn’t possibly make an informed comment.
Listening to Rory is always an absolute pleasure. A lot of marketing is common sense but there's also a lot of sparks of genius, cunning and knowing psychoogical aspect of selling and knowing your market/customer. Love it!

@stephaniejane-music Look up a scandinavian pianist called Soren Bebe. My dream is to create something meaningful and impactful, like my clothing brand "Corner Store." I want it to be more than just clothes-I want it to speak to the outsiders, the black sheep, and those who feel overlooked. I’m driven by a need for personal fulfillment, self-expression, and inspiring others. I want to build something that resonates with people who feel like they're on the fringes, showing them that they can find strength in who they are. At the same time, I'm searching for a way out of the dissatisfaction I feel with my job and my life right now. I want to escape the fear of failure and the anxiety that keeps holding me back. My dream is to find success on my own terms, to create something I'm proud of, and to feel like I'm moving forward-like I'm finally getting somewhere in life.
My advice to everyone is this : if you want to grow big this year especially in your finances. Be willing to make investments. Saving is great but investing puts you on a pedestal where you wouldnt have to worry about savings as you do now. Thanks to larysa Caba, my portolio is doing really great and im proud of the decisions i made last year.
I feel one Of the greatest challenges that we first timers face in the ma rket is that we end up losing all we have, making it difficult to find ourselves back to our feet. My biggest advice is to always seek the services of a professional just like I did when I ventured into it for the first time. Big thanks to Larysa Caba. I now make huge profits by weekly through her services while still learning to stand on my own.
I think she trades for everyone I meet. I met her twice at a meeting in Germany and after her lectures from Ella I had to personally ask her to be my financial advisor. she is definitely good.
I have never seen a trader as open and transparent as Larysa Caba with her clients. The way she decides to make a profit for her clients. she allows you to express your fears and she still rests your fears and that is my respect. I don't normally comment on videos, but this word should be included. she is really cool.
I'm new to this and have heard that now is an excellent time to buy. However, I currently have cash sitting in my bank account that I would really like to put to good use because inflation is at an all-time high. Who is this coach that you mention, and do you mind if I look them up?
INCREDIBLE that you've created a collab with Rory. Ive been following both of you for some time, and this is great. I really liked the fact that it was highlighted how losing business through lack of subliminal marketing can cost more, than leaking revenue, and how it needs more education - very difficult to quantify, yet so so so important.
Rory is correct about the new coffee machine pricing example. I was looking at getting a new webcam. The brand new model released a few weeks ago, was less than the previous model that was released 12 months ago, and sure enough, I emailed them to check which had the superior features! I then also saw several people asking the same thing online. 😅It did indeed mess with our heads. 😮
There was a brand who created baking mixture which requires nothing but some water and you will bake it and eat it. Such product did not get much traction. Later, the company removed some of its ingredients and asked its customers to add an egg and water, and then bake it. Literally, their sales went up. Why? Because the women wants a sense of achievement while baking a cake. Therefore, giving the women an opportunity to contribute towards baking, made them happy and part of the process. Learning human psychology so also very important in marketing.
Being good at one thing: Before Greggs started selling coffee a building site crew for example could be in and out in 5-10 min even if there were a few people in front in the queue. Once they started selling coffee that delay increased a lot. This is a big deal if you only have 30 min to have lunch and be back on site.
I remember something Rory said years ago about a company putting a scoop of chips in the box and scoop of chips in the bag as an extra. That is the type of seemingly costly short term behaviour that builds lifelong customers but is hard to justify on a spreadsheet.
If you feel out of your depth you're learning and moving forward. Keep going and learn from your failures. Try to understand value as best you can. Money loves clarity, if you can solve a problem for people clearly, provide a load of value you can make a lot of money. Lastly the fact you're watching this video, you're 20 years ahead of me 😊
The best thing to do is not get caought up in to these bullshit videos you won’t get rich watching them for one. you need a plan and you need to work on 1 thing and stick with it 😊
Why? Rory is the one that should be talking and not be constantly interrupted by the host. Why invite him to not listen to him. This is a bad interview
Yup ..very well informed and has so much to tell.... he's an unstoppable freight train....I know cuz I'm that sometimes, well a lot but I know it's not good for exchange rythym. Rory is super informed tho and ppl who want to learn should be able to listen at length also.

So true, you just want a treat at the end of the day, and it's well past 4PM.
If you listen to this guy carefully & follow through diligently, you will become a millionaire in a year time ! Practical ideas. What a Genuis !!!
What I find is that it's so much easier to come up with good research around retail / physical products. In software it's so much harder...
Is it possible to consider removing the music playing underneath as it is very distracting over the whole conversation. Love the lessons shared here.
I just looked up her name online. she is licensed with credible certificates and has an amazing track record. Thank you for the message.
I'm new to this and have heard that now is an excellent time to buy. However, I currently have cash sitting in my bank account that I would really like to put to good use because inflation is at an all-time high. Who is this coach that you mention, and do you mind if I look them up?
Love Rory, love Simon, this was great! So cool to see them together in the same room. Hopefully there's more to come from these two collaborating.
Amazing masterclass!
Love this! Thanks Simon!!
I'd be curious to see whereabouts in Sussex this took place, very local - I'd give an arm to sit with you.
This is like the most valuable Ronnie Corbet story I’ve ever watched
This is Gold! Thank you
That was so educational. Learned more about marketing in that video than two years of college. Thank you!
Steak Frite…Belgium beer or coke. Restaurant right there. 4 products served perfectly.
Great pieces of advice. Loved every minute of it...
Great video, great questions leading to great content - absolutely nothing wrong with the background music.
This was excellent, thank you both for sharing your theories, models and experiences.
so im 15 turning 16 this year what advice would you give to someone that is starting their entrepreneurial journey
If you feel out of your depth you're learning and moving forward. Keep going and learn from your failures. Try to understand value as best you can. Money loves clarity, if you can solve a problem for people clearly, provide a load of value you can make a lot of money. Lastly the fact you're watching this video, you're 20 years ahead of me 😊
The best thing to do is not get caought up in to these bullshit videos you won’t get rich watching them for one. you need a plan and you need to work on 1 thing and stick with it 😊
Find Jesus Christ first, I'm not joking
Start small, if you work with big corpo you will get overwhelmed.
Leave the uk
Just pre-ordered your book. I’m looking forward to it.
Thanks, Simon and Rory; all was interesting but the focus thing at the end is making me rethink a project I'm planning. ♥
I love Rory. But my God man, let Simon get a word in! 😂😂😂
Why? Rory is the one that should be talking and not be constantly interrupted by the host. Why invite him to not listen to him. This is a bad interview
Sometimes we just gotta shut up and listen and take some notes from the wise. Talking for myself and us all
Yup ..very well informed and has so much to tell.... he's an unstoppable freight train....I know cuz I'm that sometimes, well a lot but I know it's not good for exchange rythym. Rory is super informed tho and ppl who want to learn should be able to listen at length also.
I’m here for Rory but will stay for Squibb
@@wealthypepe Who said constantly? At least allow him to finish his sentence because he is the host. But hey, you're just another troll account. Good lukc.
Love the name 'Podclass'!
Hi Simon at 49:09 The Book Rory recommends is from 1916 called "Obvious Adams" by Robert Updegraf about 4.5 pounds or $7 USD. I love that he looks at what is really happening, he observes like a detective instead of assuming the research done is correct.
Simon, you and Martin Lewis need to team up to tackle the lack of finances d business training in schools
