Do you know "nick's hidden cottages"? We are travelling to Ubud this year andvstaying here, wanted to know what its like and great food in the area
@@laurasketogenicwayoflife-a7740 looks like nice place :) it's in the center so not too far to many restaurants!
Ubud is like a masterclass in balance: a place where serene rice paddies meet vibrant art scenes, and where every street corner offers a lesson in harmony. It's not just a destination; it's a lifestyle seminar led by nature and culture. So, when you're in Ubud, don't just see the sights-feel the vibe, taste the colors, and listen to the flavors. Who knew enlightenment could be this delicious and picturesque?
Exactly!🙏🏽
This is what boosting Bali's economy! 😂
Thanks for the amazing guide man!
Does it need any more boost haha? Thanks🙏🏽
@@JooseTheNomad Haha you're goddamn right!
Thank you so much for sharing this Bali travel guide. It looks amazing!
You're welcome! Thanks😊
Was back in Bali last April, totally fell in love again, especially Ubud area. Hope to be back soon
I lived in Ubud a few years ago in 2021 and it was s quiet and peaceful. With everything changing, I was a bit nervous about moving back becasue I am not sure if it is overcrowded. That you for sharing this video! Ubud will always feels like home no matter what has changed ❤
Amazing! Enjoy🥰🌴
My wife and I went to Bali over the summer. We felt like Bali was to over crowded. The traffic was insane. We went to 8 Asia countries. Bali was our least favorite. I can see someone in their 20's loving Bali.
Thank you for what you offer about the beautiful, diverse island of Bali
I agree, Ubud is a great place to stay for a while, but the big thing I miss while there is the beaches. I use to rent long term and stay in Seminyak. That was from 2012-2020, then visit Ubud for a week or two. The vibe in Seminyak was different back then, it was ‘the place to be’ and Changgu had not developed yet. Kuta was the party place for tourists and had a ton of Aussies that use to stay there. How times had changed! I had not been to Bali since 2020 and it’s so nice to see the areas I use to walk/check out. I am wanting to visit Bali next winter but there are so many other places to travel to in that part of the world, like Thailand, Vietnam, etc. the world is my oyster! Lol. Thanks for showing updates, changes in Ubud. It brings back memories of a different time gone by.
Great video. Short clips of many areas, thanks. I used to live in Thailand and I've been to Bali around 70 times over a period of 15 years. I plan to visit again soon after not going for around 8 years now. I heard it has a huge problem with traffic jams now.
Thanks! Yeah traffic is a problem in some areas in Berawa, Seminyak, etc. but staying in the right areas will solve this problem mostly!
Amazing showcase of Ubud. I just got back from Ubud and its been 7 years since I last visited. Its alot crowded then before (partly because I was there for Christmas) but the nature is still SO AMAZING. There's so much nature stuff to immerse yourself in than to purely shop, eat, party like other parts of Bali which I have been to many times.
Thank you! Amzing, yes the only thing missing is a beach haha🙏🏽
I like that you are comparing Bali to a year ago, what had changed, good or bad. I like that you are identifying new places, different prices.
Thank you😊🙏🏽
Wonderful. Happy holidays.

CRAZY. I just booked my flight to UBUD!!! IM HYPE!
Enjoyy!🙏🏽
Great content and very informative. Basically never travelled before and hoping to come to Bali last minute next week for a couple weeks
Thank you! Just know it's rainy season now in Bali but if you go, enjoy🙏🏽
The second villa you showed looked awesome. I like the advice to physically check out the villa and get a budget price in person VS. Online.
Great content. Nice work
Thank you🙏🏽
Great video. Thank you
Thanks!
Thank you for this experience to see)
My pleasure😊
Great to see you living your best life there in Ubud Joose. I'm still planning on returning, so maybe catch up with you & some of the LCA folks. Rural Ubud will always be my choice also.😉
I miss ubud cant wait to head back there!!!!
Enjoy ;)
Amazing Bali ❤
The best❤️
Good work dude!
Thank you!
Ubud my favorite spot of the earth 🌍
Nice!🌴🙏🏽
Mine tooooo!
you practically made a video with the most touristy and obvious attractions. As well as those where you are fleeced and at the same time mocked by the Balinese who know very well how to capture tourists (yoga barn is one of those places😂😂😂). Nice video!
Wow, it's really cool, the video is very inspiring, Bali is really cool, there are lots of interesting and beautiful tourist attractions that can be visited , so don't miss the interesting things in Bali
Thank you😊🙏🏽
A new place which I’ve become actually obsessed with is Pizza Cult in Ubud. Amazing food, great service, such a cute venue and really affordable. Also a great place to bring your laptop and work from!
Oh nice! Thanks for the tip!😍🙏🏽

Thanks bro!
Love Ubud😍
We too😍
Hello again Grace :)
Love that you talk about the good, bad, and the ugly in your videos. The pricing is also super helpful. Question, I’m new to Bali and have 2 months this summer. How would you allocate those 2 month? Ideally I’m moving around for a month traveling and then staying in one spot for a month.
Thank you! Great to hear :) I like to stay in one place whole time and travel from there. But if I'd do like that, then definitely staying in Canggu for a month and traveling around Ubud, Uluwatu, Nusa Penida(+Gili Islands), East Bali for the rest. Enjoy!
been to Bali since 1980 then left Indonesia 1984 for good and last time went Bali before covid.
this year I am going to take three friends to Bali and now searching for good place and clean to stay for two weeks
like to stay in Canggu or Seminyak and Ubud.
wanted to show my friends around Bali, renting a car with driver.
I am wondering how much did you pay rent a car over there now Joose?
the places you guys stayed I just checked is expensive now, around $400 plus per night.
thanks for sharing Joose.
Keep it up Joose.
Thanks man🙏🏽
Thanks for showing us your fantasy life, you must have some serious cash-flow to afford these adventures!
Thanks! It's quite affordable to live in Bali :)
Nice
Thanks!
Zest is amaaaaaaaazing
😋😋
Excellent video!
I noticed Cretya after swing last week so thanks for that review. How did you get that entrance fee? The website show you have to make reservation and min for a bed was like 2.5 million
Thank you! Yes but you don't need a bed so that's the entrance fee to put stuff in the locker or sit in the cafe :)
I wonder if the restaurant called, Clear, is still in business. It was on Hanuman Street, two levels. It had a huge, round door entrance, full of plants inside. The food was vegetarian and had an awesome Ambience.
Seems to be! Never heard of that but need to try next time🙏🏽
One of the bests. It’s still there.
I love Ubud … is my best place ever … what gear did you use for making this video ?
Drone ? Mavic 3 pro ?
Footage? iPhone 14/15 ?
regarding using a drone as long its under 2kg do you need any permit ? also what camera to use on your vlog thank you
Great video! We're planning a trip to Ubud soon. How did you go about hiring the private driver for the day? Thanks :)
Thank you! We got his number from our Grab drive earlier haha, this is his number: +62 822-4718-4305
At Sekumpul waterfall I lost my drone, when I was there, but i found it after 30 min of searching, with the help of some locals :)
Haha nice where was it?
I was about to climb on a tall tree, risky one, and one local found it a little bit further away from the waterfall, like 50m :) soo, a big thanks to them@@JooseTheNomad
Moving to Bali was 1 of the best decisions I made in my life 🥹
Same here🙏🏽
@miamityrell, Do you mind sharing what is the best place to stay with working air conditioning unit?
May I ask you why? I moved here after Thailand and already hate it... Everything has a ticket entrance, parking are all paid, the first week I have been scammed 3 times.. I am travelling around Asia 1 year and never been scammed before. Kuta and Seminyak is full of drug dealers and the traffic there is insane
@@user-uj7bt1wx8e well why would you go to Kuta & Seminyak?😅
@@JooseTheNomad I am not there, my house is around Pandawa beach and most of the beaches require an entrance fee. In Thailand even the beaches of the private resorts are accessible by anybody
Great vid! How about the bug situation ? Roaches etc in the accommodations ?
Thanks! It's not bad when you find a place that doesn't have big gaps on the doors etc. And a bit newer :)
bro thx for the content. Which platform do you use to book guesthouses in Bali?
My pleasure! I look from Airbnb & Agoda usually. Or just looking from Google maps.
Hi! do you recommend visiting the luwak coffee plantation? where did you go? thank you for this video!! I am visiting Ubud in February and I found it really useful!!
If you're interested in it :) I went once in 2018 and it was cool but not a must sed in my opinion. They showed the coffee making process nicely in Cretya too!
I would say you should go try staying at Cendana Resort. I went last year and it was absolutely wonderful
Glad you enjoyed😊🙏🏽
What did you like about it? It looks rather... kitschy and worn out.
Ubud looks like a nice spot! Would love to do a yoga retreat and some spiritual chilling there!
Yees it's perfect for that!!
Yep currently here doing that. I'm at The Yoga Barn, but there are plenty of others less popular. I'm beginner-intermediate, so it's a good choice for me here and there are lots of class options every day.
@@mbarr enjoy🙏🏽
i really like how you have mentioned the price and the good location, but i was just wondering if we do need to have a COVID certificate and show them at the airport when we entering Bali?
Thank you! I think technically it's needed but no one has asked for it in a long time :)
Hi there, can you give the names of the places especially the last one in Ubu that was so gorgeous. I would love to stay there. Thanks so much for all your videos so much help and so entertaining!
It's linked in the description :) thanks so much!
Hey Joose, what do you do for a living?❤❤❤
Hi this vlog is very good.. I really like the resort with thw rice terraces. Do you have any recommendations for a day trip where to book? With personal driver or guide since i will only stay at bali for 2 days?
Thank you🙏🏽 We used this driver: +62 822-4718-4305

How were you able to leave the first and second villas? Did you get a refund for the remaining period?
Welcome to Bali , Indonesia 🇮🇩🇮🇩🙏🙏❤❤

The prices you give are in USD? Thanks for the videos and info!
Yes! My pleasure🙏🏽
How can I find the 1st villa on booking :(
💚💚💚💜💜💜
Is there a tour guide you can recommend for us please? We are a group of six and we are planning on coning in September.
You need just a driver & car to go sround or an actual guide?
@@JooseTheNomad Looks like they're interested in a guide.
Hello I'm taking my first trip to Bali in March. Your video has been very helpful. Which currency are your Dollars in? For installation..$7- $9 for a meal. ( I will definitely be going to Zest!
Great to hear! USD :) Enjoy🙏🏽
Where to get a reliable full day driver? And do you feel safe leaving your belongings on accommodation safe? Lastly, did you have any struggles with paying for things with card?
I have added few contacts to my Bali Guide :) I have always felt safe in Bali! Most of the time card works but good to have cash also.
@@crypticcomputing604 I'm really busy these days trying to build my business, sorry about that.. Here's the contact for the driver we used in Ubud: +62 822-4718-4305
What's the name of the teacher of the yoga class that you enjoyed so much at the Yoga Barn?
Chokolako, it was shown in the video :)
what's the name of the place that appers in the begning of the video please?

Name of the temple you went before the waterfall
Ulun Danu Beratan Temple :)

US$😊
What time of year was this?
December😊

The villa's you are showing cost 350€ per night in September sadly, a lot more expensive than i'd hope (and want to spend)
Oh.. maybe you can get a better deal by asking them directly?
How is it I'm February? Worth the visit?
Can be very rainy, depends.

Did you ask for permission to use the drone?? I have a djiminidrone but I can’t use it anywhere :(
Why can't you?
Becaouse of the local rules or resort rules or people don’t eant to be filmed 😅
In your case no one said anything? Because I want to go to Ubud for a week and I’m not sure to bring with me my drone!
Last year I went in the Maldives with my drone but the resort didn’t let me use the djimini2 because of their rules and privacy of other people 🥲

@@MREdits1610 yes I have had issues in some places in the world like Santorini ans Maldives but no never in Ubud. But you never know just have to try and see I guess😄 good luck and thank you!
I was just in Ubud for the first time and it felt very dull and superficial, and I think it's prime - whenever that may have been- is over. This is just my opinion and i have travelled a lot of the world, but it reminded me of going to an all inclusive holiday to Cancun when I was a kid. It just feels, fake. It's this place that only exists for tourists to come and pretend they are experiencing a culture that is on show for their money. Everything is commercialized and commodified and it's busy and congested with garbage and motorbikes. The idea of yoga that is presented here is the unfortunate "lulu lemon" version where sexy spandex women are the main attraction, every store in town sells the idea of commercialized sexy spirituality before the actual practise of yoga. I didn't like it as you can see, it was very one dimensional. Smoothie bowls and sexy yoga, honking cars and lip injected wannabe influencers.
You should have explored the surrounding areas and less-popular places in that case🙏🏽
It had to be said! 🙂
Is it just me? The video made me feel dizzy 🥴

I went last year and felt I was being ripped off. Ridiculous price for entering a rope swing venue then very highly priced for food. Nearly $100 for a rope swing and photo if you wanted the full package. So we went for the basic just one photo. Did the ridge walk too!
Yeah those kinda tourist things are rarely worth it😵💫
