Just added Pc Engine games to my modded Wii, been playing some awesome shmups and other games. So added the Pc Engine Cd games as well, and through this process discovered a "console" I had never even heard of, the PC-FX, the successor to the Pc Engine. So, added a few of its games (it was only released in Japan) I found a few english translations and a couple of games that its not necessary to know Japanese to enjoy. That system only had like 62 games made for it, but the ones I have played are very high quality and fun games. Thanks for this video, saw a few Im gonna give a try+
Well, in the spirit of fairness, Saturn was from the following console generation. Considering PC Engine was the first console of it's generation, released in 1987 in Japan, I think most of it's games hold up well against Mega Drive and Super Famicom.
A lot of 2024 games are not that great, especially not AAA games. If it weren't for indies, I would rarely play new games. These old games are tried and true.

It's fun to discover games that I missed out on. Don't write retro games off just because they're old.

Easily. These are incredible games.
The only old games I can't get into are the Atari 2600 ones since they are so archaic. Anything NES and up is amazing.
