I feel like I've come full circle with this band. Started listening about 2 years ago when I heard one of there songs covered in some radio station (Magnets pt 2). Fell in love. Back then it seemed like there weren't as many people listening as there are now, and I can't help but to hipster out a bit when I tell friends about them for the first time. I've watched there JITV sessions about a thousand times. So much has happened in my life the last 2 years, too. My last name starts with an S, and my entire life I've been drawing that S that was at the end of this video, the EXACT one, like there are a lot like it, but that's the exact one I've always drawn. It started as impressing my friends at school because they didn't know how to draw one and I did, and it evolved from that into my doodlings. Idk if any of this comment has made sense on any level.... I just feel some sort of connection with this band and I felt like I had to put it out there into the universe. Seems like Slothrust is finally starting to get the attention they deserve, they're a great band. Anyways.... yea
Trepanation21 Ppphhhsssssssssssttttt the 90s?!? My dad was drawing that back in grade school mid Cold War era boiii. Stussy surely didnt originate that S, the company was founded in the 80s but the drawing dates back well before that. I don't think superman S was the original drawing either, idk where it came from I think just from kids' boredom from forever ago. Plus the one at the end of the vidya isn't even a classic stussy, it's more elongated, and the lines are uniquely what I used to draw lmao. Either way it's so weird that this band keeps cropping up in my life. Nice try guy, but I think it's now time that you 'GOML' (I had forgotten that was even an acronym btw thanks for the nostalgia too lol it's been ages, gave me a good laugh 😂)
John Morgan idddkkkkkkkk....... the inner left and right lines connect in various locations, and the top and bottom lines also vary in length, giving the S a different look in many cases, but you're right, fundamentally everyone draws it the 'same', with the same 14 lines. Idk looking at sketches me and my friends did in one of my old binders all of them look different, and I've never met 2 people who draw them exactly the same. Looking in the same binder my S's from 15 years ago looks legit exactly like the one at the end of the video. So strange, but maybe you're right, maybe I'm looking too far into it lol. Great band, either way 👌
