Perhaps if Audi would stop bundling desirable options with the hugely expensive top spec Vorsprung models then people would be more likely to tick that air suspension box.
Thank you for the great review Vikky. I'm glad Audi's finally selling a damn EV car that doesn't cost $120,000. Shame about the electric door handles, cheap capacitive touch controls, and stupid overly complex headlamnps/taillamps that will no doubt cost an absolute fortune when they fail. Oh and the power charge doors are a liability too. I wish they would refocus on durability and ability to repair (like more modular/serviceable battery packs) than focusing on bad features that will make these cars a nightmare to own at high mileage as they age. One thing we've learned about sustainable transportation is that EVs while considerably lower in lifetime emissions, are still hot mess for the planet (ie all cars == unsustainable). But one way we combat that is to make them super long lasting and worthy of repeated repairs, because they hold their value. Bricked cars or ones that depreciate quickly below their repair cost, and are impossible for low income people to run might as well be hybrids or petrol, in so far as they're still speeding us towards planetary destruction. Keep It Simple Stupid, er, Audi.
The A6 Avant is the better looking version than the Sportback which looks chunky. The Avant looks sleek with its long roofline. The Avant would be the top seller in the US. Hopefully Audi will make it available for the US market
I like this. It's generally quite a handsome thing that just happens to be electric. Couple of things though, did VAG do a deal on a cheap source of shiny black plastic. I have no idea why manufacturers persist with this material. It looks as cheap as it probably is and is in no way practical - what is it for !! And, that front 'grill' design - all those little cutouts look like Hercule Poirot's moustache. Apart from that, nice car !
I really like it! The problem I have with new cars nowadays is the price……some cars will be like having a second mortgage. I think it’s ridiculous pricing but people still buy them……..
This is proper, these are EVs Audi should made first the A6 sedan and estate ❤❤. Can't wait to see AllRoad version of maybe RS😅😊. Vicky great review, keep it up 🤟.
Nice, and great range potential, though the Avant boot capacity is maybe a little disappointing and could push some buyers towards the ID7 instead… which, of course, will be notably cheaper!
Asking that much money for a car without air suspension as standard is a tough sell, not even offering as a reasonably priced option is a bit of a fail. I would have hoped VAG had learnt their lesson, obviously not.
UMotoring journos in their joint pile on mode when it comes to the extra front passenge screen. I think if you are a passenger where the curvy dash is focussed to the driver its going to be popular. You can have your own journey and even watch media content so how can you say its a gimmick? You prefer the UI in the BMW. I found the I5 very gimmicky snd stuffed full of sub snd sub sub menus but I still got to a pointvwhere I was happy with it and speed is important when accessing the UI i susoect the Audi will be slicker in execution they normally are. Yet you spend 5 minutes in the Audi and state you think the BMW is better. We get you are a BMW girl but please, try to leave your predisposition out of the show and concentrate on the car. One thing I do agree with is the lack of air springs in the UK as I found the A7 on air, to be the best riding cars I have owned. My daughter was chafferered to her wedding in a beautiful brand new Bentley and i could not help notuceing its ride was niwhere near as good as the A7 Vorsprung, confirmed the next day when I got back in it. You didn't mention that there would be adaptive dampers with coil springs athough. I believe that the air system will be available as standard on the S model and may actually be a better option for the S on UK roads too.
Audi, and the greater VW Group, are done at this point. Unless, and it's a big UNLESS, they can figure out how to make decent cars at 1/2 - 2/3 the price that they currently do. £65-75k for what is essentially a family car is the route to bankruptcy.
@@IwillBwaiting They did not. They did indicate they would go on a full-blown strike if needed. But that's not gonna stop anything. The cost of VW production is more than double that in Czechia... They really messed their industry up by going full green and non-nuclear, those Germans.
@@ESX021 In Germany it might. When you have a lease option it's great, because you are not the one left with a depreciated brick, and they do have some amazing options in Germany (they apparently have their own banks/financial institutions there). Sadly, both Audi and Porsche EVs lose their respective values super quickly so buying one is one of the stupidest decisions you can make
So weird. I really thought Audi would do a good job, but their demise continues. The boot is no bigger than a 3 series touring. Looks weird. Proportionally it’s off. The interior isnt nice at all…..big L.

Really nice car, love an estate, it's good to see some EV estates coming to market. piano black plastic in the cabin is a bit dated though

Very honist and fair review. The inside really needs to be a higher standard. At the end of the day that's where you spend most of the time.

Vicky great review, keep it up 🤟.
All that black on the bumper in contrast to this color makes it look like a handlebar moustache 🥸
Audi 👌
Fantastic quality car
What did you make of the side cameras for mirrors??
Excellent presentation BUT totally unrealistic pricing, and still too many ads!!
Nice, and great range potential, though the Avant boot capacity is maybe a little disappointing and could push some buyers towards the ID7 instead… which, of course, will be notably cheaper!
Holidays in tenerife😅 with audi.
You used two cars ?
Why put a piece of sanitary towel across the front?
These are not reviews they are sales pitches! Give it a rest!

After several Allroads with airsuspension I will now have to leave the brand. What a shame Audi

Hate the split headlights so cheap-looking
I know it's subjective but for my eyes Audi make much better EVs than both BMW and Mercedes

120.000 people went on strike.
Mercedes and BMW's equivalent options are more expensive though?
I imagine the a6 is going to be a big seller tbh.
It's essentially a Skoda Superb or VW Passat at this point, just with some OLED screens.

More like an advert, how about some journalism? Real range? Depreciation? Value for money? Come on.....
The front looks like kia stinger

What a shame. I LOVED the concept car. This is soooo boring and ugly. No thanks, Audi.
