So what are the sixteen things that confident men never do?

01:19 1. They never wear flashy brands. Big names and logos rarely signify an elevated taste level or style but instead, it's much more about the status you want to display with them.
02:04 2. Dress inappropriately for the occasion. A confident man isn't afraid to wear what he wants when he wants to wear it. At the same time, it's all about the right time and place.
03:11 3. Do things purely because it makes them look successful. Buying an expensive car or a luxury watch that you can't really afford will probably make you initially look successful but down the line, people will always catch up on it.
03:55 4. Pretend that he's someone else because he's just happy with the way he is. Of course, that doesn't mean that they can't improve and get better but he's not insecure about it and is not ashamed of himself.
05:49 5. Constantly come up with excuses. Basically, when you make an excuse, you push the plane of your actions to something or someone else. I mean under the right circumstances, it can be warranted.
06:41 6. Wait for permission to act, they just act! For example, when I realized that I had to be an entrepreneur and the opportunity presented itself, I took it even though it was risky at the time and I wasn't sure that it would lead somewhere.
08:15 7. Avoid conflict at all costs. Avoiding conflict doesn't actually solve it, it just means you're kicking the can down the road where sometimes it can lead to more resentment or to an even bigger problem.
09:24 8. Fear feedback or inconvenient truths because they're just part of who we are. Trying to pretend that you're perfect will ultimately only hold you back from getting better. Why? You can't fix a problem if you're in denial about it.
10:17 9. Afraid of failure. Without failure, no one can achieve mastery.
11:23 10. Take advertising and social media or Instagram profiles too seriously. Sometimes, when you see those pictures, it may seem like the world around us is living this glamorous lifestyle while we are stuck in our office doing something we don't really like.
12:20 11. Yield to peer pressure. Why? Well, they know what's good for them and what isn't, they're not afraid to speak up if someone wants to sell them something, wants them to do something because they know, at the end of the day, they would regret it.
13:30 12. People pleasers. Now, first, let me say that there is nothing inherently wrong with wanting to make other people happy and there is always a time and a place for that, however, people pleasers are often easy to take advantage of. Confident men typically balance their own needs with other people's needs so it's all respectful, dignified, and no one loses face or is embarrassed or ridiculed.
14:58 13. Hide behind screens or anonymity. Online interactions have the potential to dehumanize communication and it's much easier to humiliate someone or to say bad things about them when it's just a remote transaction and you can hide behind an alias that is not tied to your existence. If you're afraid to be connected to anything that you say, you probably shouldn't say it in the first place.
16:21 14. Afraid to ask for help if they need it. As an entrepreneur and CEO who started as a one-man show from scratch, I always had the tendency to just want to do things myself, however, over the years, I've learned that to really accomplish something and to build something bigger than me, I have to rely on other people, teach them to the best of my ability, and trust them that they can do things.
17:17 15. Assume the world around them is out to get them or to make them small or ridiculed. When other people say things or do things that hurt you or your feelings, it's always very easy to assume malicious intent.
18:23 16. Treat other people around them poorly even though they may be in a more powerful position than them. In my mind, people who treat others poorly to make themselves feel better is a sure sign that they're insecure about themselves. - Навчання та стиль
As you know, there are a lot of UA-cam channels offering recommendations for men. This one is THE best.
Agreed. Too many channels out there give advice to men based on getting men to do more or be better for other people. At the end of the day a man has to look out for himself because ultimately no one else will. What good is a man to anyone else if he is no good to himself?
Shouldn't you rename this "How to be seriously soy in 16 easy steps"? This is the most judgy video I have ever seen. Practice what you preach. EVERYONE laughs at other people sometimes. Because ITS FUNNY. Its OK to expect other people to have coping skills and not be sensitive. And confident men are supposed to be competitive, and keep the pecking order clear. Everyone needs to know who the leader, and who the follower is in every situation. That's the best way to get things done. No one wants to be around someone that is constantly rude.....but no one is going to stand for such a total milk toast either.
Always hate it when I hear other channels talking about being the “alpha” in a situation, especially when it’s being told by a dude who is wormy and insecure

@@samhumphrey4859 being classy usually means that you hold yourself to a high standard in terms of personal behavior, appearance, etc. It's usually used interchangeably in reference to a person having a high degree of character.
Men with class don't need to try to project confidence. They're comfortable in their own skins. At the same time, there are standards of good taste which are universal, and you either have a sense of this or you haven't.

I lost my grandad at the very start of this month. Dealing with that has been one of the hardest things of my life, he was such a great role model for me. I want to be more like him so that I can feel connected to him, in some way at least. And just about everything you guys talk about, it feels like you're explaining my grandad down to the letter. He was a remarkable man, and I'm going to miss him greatly. So thank you again.

One thing confident men NEVER DO is brag about sexual exploits to make themselves look good. Especially when they use the fact they are cheating on their spouse to make themselves seem more attractive, virile, and powerful. Doing this sends the message to others you are untrustworthy and disrespectful of others for two reasons. First you don't respect people in your life who are supposed to be the most important to you, be lying and going behind their back thus breaking an important commitment you made with them when you became their spouse.. Secondly, you show others you are unable to keep the intimate details about your life private. This shows people you may not be able to keep other important things to yourself either. To me men that do this are not gentlemen at all.
What if the person really does get lots of women and dates how does that effect you in anyway?
Also forced marriages are practically nonexistant in the western world. Going back on your word if not something despicable is at the very least very disappointing.

Funny thing is I feel other men see a threat in that confidence, and it is sometimes annoying. But, I'm happy to see that videos like these are made and can help balance the toxic masculinity that exists in pop culture!! Confidence feels great

Really love that blue tie on your outfit at the end. It adds that touch of *different* to the outfit to make it stand out, but at the same time it's not too brash at all. It really looks good.

of all the mens help channels i've seen ( not many but enough to know their usually just trying to get someone laid) this was easily the best, for me a confident man uses his confidence to uplift those around him and not as a stepping stone to power.
Compared to AlphaM (from whom I unsubscribed) and even RMRS, this channel keeps things real, relatable and personal.
Keep it up and don’t follow suit of others.

Modesty really is a virtue. The world is not obligated to adore you. Life does not owe you a living. If you rise, help those around you rise also. Some things outweigh and pay more returns than power and wealth.
A successful man who was a corporate manager at a company I worked for told me that he viewed himself as the least important person in the room.
At the time it made no sense to me considering his position of authority.
But after working with him I learned the wisdom in this:
He valued the opinions of others.
He wasn't afraid to admit he needed help or that he did not have all the answers and would seek answers and solutions from others.
He was humble.
He was not greedy with his knowledge.
He built up others and by improving them, he improved the entire team.
And most importantly, he only asserted his authority when necessary and never in a demeaning manner.
After developing this mindset and attitude, I was quickly promoted in the company.

So many people mistake bragging for confidence. Bragging is begging for attention. Confident people don't feel the need to do that. Lots of good advice here for men and women.
Great advise. I would add that confident men listen more than they talk.
I took a Chinese friend out for drinks, and they were denied entry to the bar because, although they were a designer brand with huuuge logos, sweatpants are still sweatpants! Dress for the occasion, and remember that tacky branding will never make up for poor taste or poor fit!

Instead of being raised to have confidence, my dad did nothing but make sure I felt bad about who I am. He does it to this day. I'm slowly, very slowly learning to have confidence.

My stepfather hated because I had red hair and reminded him of my real father before he. He wore work pants and a Hanes pocket t-shirt I dress like I work for Wall Street lol. So I beat him in the end anyway.
My sister got me a $60 watch for Christmas and I get complimented on it all the time. Price is secondary to style, if it looks good, it looks good, emd of story. That said, most stylish things cost at least a slightly more than modest sum.

This channel is the proof that if youtube is used wisely, you can improve yourself in all subjects dramatically. On the other hand, if a social network is misused(like 99% of the people do) you will get dumber, blinder, fooler and whatnot. This channel is a gem. Also, Sven, you're the man!! haha

I LOVE this video, Sven!! Definitely true on all fronts! I like that you put the one about treating other people poorly as the LAST point. Everybody seems to kinda "know" that you shouldn't treat others poorly, but tend to forget to follow that mantra. If you had put this point first, a lot of people might have checked out of the video, thinking that the rest of that stuff wasn't important. But this video is very well done, and the points you highlighted were all great. I just found this channel a few months ago, and already you guys have opened my eyes up to a lot of style hints and tweaks. Keep up the phenomenal work!

I am in my early 20s and a college student, and one thing I have learned is to accept your lack of certain abilities and expressing them rather than faking. It helps you learn more and become better.

These are some really good tips. Good to know that I already live by them. It boils down to simply treating others with respect and knowing your limits but be willing to step out in faith that you can accomplish a goal that may seem scary.

Well said and well done, especially the social media advice. I recently deleted Facebook and that was the right choice for me. I made a lot of mistakes on social media and I own those mistakes. The style on this channel diverges quite a bit from mine, it is more formal but I appreciate the perspective, how well it’s done, and I learn a lot watching.

The style suggestions from this channel have been great, and very helpful. I live in the woods so formal dress is not often called for, but when it is, I feel better prepared to navigate it. That being said, in this video, there are are more general descriptions of how to be a gentleman - and also a good person. It really resonated. Hard to elaborate more, but I wish all of us could act this way. I am aspiring to it.

Most of these tips are about honesty, Confident men are not dishonest, they are genuine, and people can usually tell the difference
This video surprised me. I *love* this video.
It praises and encourages healthy, happy social practices, and puts an emphasis on the unhealthy aspects of social climates and relationships. The point about anonymity and the internet in particular caught me by surprise.
I was somewhat worried this video might be haughty, uptight, or look down on the viewer, but I am pleasantly surprised to find out it is not so. Keep preaching what you're saying.

Great video. Something that I often see some people in my close vicinity doing a lot are a) When you share a good thing about yourself or life that happened in the past or even recently past, they'll spend minimum of no time in appreciating your situation or success and rather divert the conversation to something about their life or success, sometimes completely irrelevant to the original discussion, just because b) They'll never comment about something good about you or something they liked which you introduced them to but will instantly point fingers at you for a small mistake you might've done or some odd habit of yours. I see one point you constantly mentioned throughout the video, having a good idea of your own worth or just being self-aware and not being in denial.
The only man on YT who says “off-white” shirt and doesn’t mean the brand 🤣👍🏿👍🏿
Great video!! I also think confident men are happy for others that are more successful/fortunate than themselves. I think jealousy and downplaying others success (like they didn't earn it) speaks volumes to your insecurity and lack of character.
