Outstandingly obsesso! About the Flimsy Wrap, what I love about it is that it exactly reverses how we usually hear a live recording. Instead of a little bit of audience noise before and after the performance of a song, here the disc opens with the last seconds of a Devo performance, then we hear a few minutes of the audience and finally at the end of the disc a few more seconds of Devo as they return and launch into another song. In other words Devo only perform in the first and last seconds of this, and the rest is audience noise... that’s as Devo a concept as I can imagine; brilliant! I’ll bet that’s Jerry’s idea. And as for the “What’s it all About” radio promo, I think if you’ll give it a spin you’ll be surprised to find that the record doesn’t portray the band as misguided, but - and this is even more clueless and therefore more hilarious - it makes a crazy effort to portray Devo as religious or at least as somehow offering evidence in support of such insanity. Another record in that lunatic evangelical series offers an attack against those tools of Satan David Bowie on one side and Lou Reed on the other, calling both “transvestite rock” on the label! I was an FM announcer for years and stole both records from the station I worked at so they wouldn’t air. Why? I was through being cool.
Great job of collecting 🎉❤

So this is why all the good Devo stuff is out of stock, great video it kept me entertained!
Nice!
ever considered doing a video of general thoughts on devo's LPs? i was kinda curious how you rank 'em, being such a super-fan and all.
According to the The Brand / Unmasked book, that's Jerry's father and sister on the "Surprize" single art.
Ahh that's right! Thanks for the reminder. I remember Jerry telling me about it, but couldn't recall the exact family members.
