@@paultsworld I've made some small progress with iris, hydrangeas, azaleas, rhododendrons, and a few dozen varities of flowers. Thank you for asking. It's so kind of you.
A superlative video Paul, thank you so much. Everything is so well tended and responding to your care - the surprise is how much earlier all your plants come into flower: the first few small roses opened this week here, and azaleas just finishing. I daren't grow some that you have, because of cold, even wind-chill - a real killer. It's such a delight, to ease the heart, this.
Thank you Wendy - actually you should see the plants today (I shot this video on the 15th) so many have flowers on them now. Main problem is lack of rain - it has only rained once for an hour in weeks and all my water butts are empty.

What a lovely, relaxing video ... your garden is looking beautiful Paul! I have fallen back in love with hostas after seeing yours looking so spectacular 😊👍. I also love your ornamental elder - that foliage is lovely. Extra time spent feeding and watering this year has really paid off for me - some of the shrubs I had almost 'written off' have come back to full health and vigour!
Me too, I have added a lot of hostas this year - love the variegated ones. Did you notice I have brunnera for the first time (in the shed bed). Plants certainly respond to food and water - I am feeding more as well.
Paul T's World I didn't notice the brunnera - I will go back and have a look! I need to get out and do some weeding asap - we've had a week of heavy rain & warm temps, so my garden now looks a bit like the amazon 😂
Hello Paul, I really enjoyed the tour of your garden and it's actually very breath taking to see so many flowers all together like that. I do wish I had the time to putter around in my flower beds, you are very inspiring but sadly the things of everyday life get in the way of me having the pleasure of that right now but one day hopefully I will have all the time I want to get down and dig in the dirt and set out all the beautiful flowers I want. Well done Paul !!!! A very beautiful garden indeed!!!!
Sorry for delay my friend. Had a new grandson born and we have had his big brother for a week.. Lol been busy. Great update.. Pond is looking great.. Infact everything is.. You are a pro.. So glad I follow you. Learn a lot and get lots of inspiration.. Thanks pal
I’m very envious of your long growing season. In February we’re still under a foot or two of snow and in March you can’t get a shovel in the frozen ground. We do have great summers even though it’s all ending by October. It’s nice to look at your garden and enjoy your videos though.
It would be great if we could send over to you some of our early Spring and you could send us some of your Summer - that would be perfection! Thank you for enjoying the videos.
Thank you for sharing this video Paul. A very prim and proper garden though. I love the California Lilac, never seen them here. Lucky you to get such a lovely Peony bush and Dahlias from a neighbour. Your Tiger Lilies look tall and do post a video when they flower. It's true with the Lily bug, a real nuisance, i pick them and diminish them too. My orange Tiger lilies are in full bloom now. Yellow new ones will open up tomorrow. Dark pinkish ones in about 10 days, i think. The roses look SUPERB.Happy Gardening🌱🌿🌼🐝🌺🌻🌞🌧💚💚 from Berlin,Germany
Yes I swop plants with a neighbour which is great. My lilies are starting in flower now and the tree lilies will be soon - I’ll video them. Best wishes from England
As always - such a lovely woodland garden tour Paul! Surprised to see your iris & peonies still blooming in Mid-June. Did not know you guys don’t water the lawn in UK. What is the reason behind this idea Paul? To conserve drinking water? Beautiful masquerade roses. Your honeysuckle is lush with no fungus! 💚
Hi Tracy, the red peony is at its best right now but notice the white ones in the front garden are just starting to drop their leaves. Maybe our cold May delayed flowering. That's right we often have water shortages in Britain (contrary to popular belief!). So we water only where necessary, the grass goes brown but turns quickly back to green when it rains - it doesn't die. Also I am on a water meter and pay for every drop I use - except for my 6 water butts (rain barrels) where it's 'free'!
Superb!! Worth the wait Paul, Thankyou for creating such a beauty and information filled upload. So much inspiration here in your stunning garden. Too much to comment in individually, however your new beds are coming along nicely, I'm interested t see the tree lilies develop and I am now looking into rowan trees for my garden. Thoroughly enjoyed this tour thanks for taking me around your garden...oh and I wish we were neighbours 😊
Glad you enjoyed the tour Carolina. Rowan is a great tree. You can get the 'common, wild one' like mine with the red berries that the birds like so much or there are the more ornamental ones with different coloured berries that the birds don't like so they stay on the tree all Winter. It is fun swopping plants with neighbours who are keen on gardening!
Oh definetly . I have a great fellow gardening neighbour, we have totally different taste which makes for great plant sharing 😊 Thankyou for the additional information Paul
Thank you so much for another great garden tour I always love seeing what you’ve done in your garden everything is so beautiful. Hugs and kisses from grandma Sandy

Thx for your video. It was 45C here today with the humidex. It is now 32C at 0030 hours. Trying to sleep by day and flashlight water at night. I will be so disappointed to lose my lovely hanging baskets. Everything you way looks great. My first try at foxgloves in a container are surviving so far.
We have a more manageable 19C and some gentle rain overnight so everything OK over here at the moment. Sorry you lost the hanging baskets - so disappointing.
Hi Paul. Your garden is looking beautiful. I'm looking forward to seeing your tree lilies. I'm not familiar with them. The plant you called granny's necklace we call pheasant Berry here in Ireland . It does self seed as does the grass you have in front of the foxglove near your pond..i keep pulling it up. . Thank you for the lovely tour Paul
Hi Catherine, what a nice name 'pheasant berry' - I love local names. It does self-seed a lot! Thank you for reminding me of the carex pendula - it is a thug round the garden and I must clip off the seed stems.
Thank you so much for sharing Paul. I would have to search the dictionary for adjectives sufficient to describe your garden. It is a shadow of the heavenly gardens waiting for us. Each plant has its own unique beauty. I am especially drawn to the grandma’s necklace, the California lilac (Is it really a pale blue color?) so beautiful, the climbing roses; the list would be long. If you are not a master gardener, you are deserving of the title. You are a very gracious and entertaining host, as well. So enjoy the chorus of bird songs, too. I recognIzed two or three calls, but would appreciate identification of the calls if you are able to include that in future videos. (I am a birder). Easy to watch, well done professional video. Thank you so much. Enjoying from Wyoming, USA. Take care. Blessings
So pleased you enjoyed my garden Sharon and greetings from England. In the months to come the Grandma's necklace gets better and better with lovely long flowers and then berries for the birds. Yes, that particular California Lilac is a pale blue. Good idea about the bird calls - the cooing is the wood pigeon (Columba palumbus), the louder call is the chaffinch (Fringilla coelebs) and the singing call is the robin (Erithacus rubecula).
Thank you for the lovely visit to your serene garden. Your poppy looks like some kind of maybe a somniferum or something else since my orientalis has very divided and hairy leaves.
Good Morning Paul, Sooooo peaceful in your garden at 7 am! The birds are loving life aren't they. Oh and you have so many humle (bumble bees) they are so beautiful. We lived in DK for 2 years and I just love the low drone followed by the high pitched whir when they are in flowers. Also the pigeons cooing remind me of DK as well, there is nothing better than summer in Europe, is there? you are very lucky. You are having such a good summer, the garden looks superb.
Good morning Margaret. 5 till 7am is magical at this time of year and the bees buzzing is so soothing. The weather has warmed - just need some proper rain - it's all been in the South of England this June!
Quite dark here at 7 am post Winter solstice and we are forecast to have 20-30mm rain in the next 24 hours. You may have it!😉 it's quite muddy. I hope you get rain soon...just at the right intervals so you don't need to water! Plants like rain not tap!
Have you seen any moths on the honeysuckle yet, the pink coloured elephant hawkmoth is supposed to visit it? I have honeysuckle in its second year in my garden but its not flowering yet, its still very thin in terms of foliage and stems, maybe next year. Nice woodland area you have created with foxgloves and hellebores, I grow red campion, meadowsweet and mints in my garden woodland area. The lily beetle looks lovely and colourful so its a shame its such a pest. Other types beetles in the garden are great to have there were quite a few click beetles in my garden earlier in the year and it was nice seeing one walking around on the viburnum mariesii flowers eating some pollen apparently.
I've not seen any moths on the honeysuckle yet, but I am very pleased with how it is developing. I have seen elephant hawkmoths in past years. Me too, I like beetles - just not so keen on the lily beetle of course.
@@paultsworld I have a light in my back garden so I sometimes go out and see if there are any moths or bats. Moths like buddleia too - I have seen moths on the buddleia flowers before but not hawkmoths. Speaking of which some of the buddleia bud clusters in my garden look only a few days from starting to flower which seems quite early for the purple flowered buddleia davidii which I have! Most beetles are great, they like lacecap type flowers like the viburnum and cow parsley type flowers too.
Your garden looks fantastic and full of life in June 👌🏻 Do you know which variety of Ceanothus that is? The new one you showed. I'm after a few evergreen shrubs and that looks great...
I would recommend Ceanothus - evergreen, nice blue and the bees love it. Check it is OK for your Winters. The one I have is Ceanothus thyrsiflorus 'skylark'
Thank you. Every now and then I water with a soluble Growmore. For specific plants which are in bloom I'll add a little tomorite and weed and feed to the lawn in Spring and Autumn. Sometimes I'll scatter chicken pellets round a plant if it is a heavy feeder. Then ease right off once August comes so the plants don't put on new weak sappy growth just before Winter.
Luv the tour! What is variety of your London pride? I’m eating some things for partial shade partial sun that would spread really well I’m a 7A in Oklahoma,
Beautiful. Thanks for sharing, Paul. Does the flamingo willow take over? A friend said it can go crazy in the garden. But they're so pretty, was thinking of rooting one from friend's cutting.
I would recommend this willow Reggie - as it is pretty. It has been in the garden for 20 years and I have only had to cut off a couple of large branches to keep it to the size I want. On a yearly basis I don't need to touch it.
A true garden of eden. Everything is so lush! Thanks for such a comprehensive tour. So inspiring. Struggling here with heat and humidity. Then it rains and weeds go crazy. Do you grow any veg at all? Thanks. EM in Va zone 7a 🌞🌞🌞
Thank you Eileen, sorry about your heat, we have a rain problem as in none! Yes, there are potatoes, kale, sweet corn, French beans and leeks growing at the side of the house, oh and rhubarb and gooseberries!
@@paultsworld That sounds marvelous. I even find vegetables growing can be lovely. You must work so hard to be able to keep up with everything🙋😊 The heat is par for the course this time of year around here.
So delightful Paul. What a wonderful way to end a busy Friday! I planted a Sambucus ‘Black Lace’ early this year as well and it has been growing beautifully but no flowers yet considering everything is so slow/behind this season. May I ask what kind of ‘food’ you fed it with? Thanks in advance Paul.
Thank you Nittima. If you planted it just this year there is a chance it won't flower this year as it is busy growing its roots. But next year it will flower well for you. Now would be a good time to feed - and water well. I feed my plants either bone meal or a general fertiliser - sometimes chicken pellets. It you buy a soluble feed i.e. to mix with water then the plant will get the benefit quickly. Good luck!
@@paultsworld oh thank you Paul. That’s a relief to know. Yes, it is my first year growing this. I noticed my neighbor’s elder started blooming and I looked at mine thinking ‘where are your flowers?!!’
Ha ha, it is doing its best! At the height of the Summer make sure it gets plenty of water and some more feed this month and next (but leave it from August) so its roots can prepare for next year's flowers. Let me know how it does.
Thanks Bluesky. The lavenders are looking good and in full flower now. I'll include them in the next videos. If I have horse manure I put another layer on - in addition to the layer in Spring, if not I'll scatter chicken pellets and then water a lot.
@@paultsworld good to know. Here in Colorado we recommend feeding roses once a month starting April 15 and ending August 15. I have topped with well rotted horse manure, etc, but usually use a product specifically formulated for Colorado called Mile High Rose Feed. All organic and available only at garden centers. All the rain we've had this spring has helped my rose bushes burst into growth! Always enjoy "visiting" your garden!

I think I featured the brunnera on a shed bed video - it's 'Jack Frost'. It's raining now so the Amazon 'look' is here as well.
Beautiful garden . Love the sharp edge to your beds. Something I have trouble doing.
I have started using a strimmer - when they work, they are so effective at making the edges look trim.
Hi S. Lea Young, I am so pleased you enjoy my garden and hope you soon can start your own to enjoy.
... Thank you from Québec, Canada ...
Thank you - greetings from England.
Sorry for delay my friend. Had a new grandson born and we have had his big brother for a week.. Lol been busy.
Great update.. Pond is looking great..
Infact everything is.. You are a pro.. So glad I follow you. Learn a lot and get lots of inspiration.. Thanks pal
Cheers Chris. Congratulations with a new grandson! All the best from England.
Uv done an amazing job. Wow... A truly stunning garden..... Absolutely beautiful! Thank you for sharing with us!
Thank you, you are most welcome.
Your garden is simply stunning! Sending many greetings to my much missed Cheshire! :)
Thank you Miss Anglophilia, greetings from England.
I can't wait to see your summer garden later on!
Thank you - it is certainly growing well - there has been plenty of rain for two days so by next week it will have advanced quite a lot.
Nice you have also gardening neighbours.
Thank you so much for another great garden tour I always love seeing what you’ve done in your garden everything is so beautiful. Hugs and kisses from grandma Sandy
You are welcome!
You garden is beautiful of love. Thank you.

helo sir, watching from the Philippines..thank u for sharing ur beautiful garden.lots of flowers and plants,I smashed the like button and bell as well so that I'm updated to ur new film
Thank you for your nice comment, I am pleased you enjoyed my video.
Very beautiful🌷⚘🌿☘🌷⚘🌷⚘
Thank you very much!
So peaceful! Thank you!
It is quiet early in the morning.
Nice one paul t been waiting for this and wasnt disappoined well done
Glad you liked my video and the garden!
Just gorgeous !
Thank you! 😊
Lovely! Thank you for the inspiration.
You are so welcome!
The shed bed is really coming along!
It is - I am so pleased with it.
Good idea about the bird calls - the cooing is the wood pigeon (Columba palumbus), the louder call is the chaffinch (Fringilla coelebs) and the singing call is the robin (Erithacus rubecula).
le jardin est magnifique ! Félicitations Paul
Merci Roger.
what a nice, relaxing video 😀
Glad you enjoyed it!
Beautiful nice garden friend
So pleased you liked my garden.
Your's world is beautiful!
Ah, thank you.
Beautiful garden 😀
So nice of you
Beautiful❤️
Thank you! 😊
Very pretty Paul 🌸
Glad you like the garden Caroline.
Thank you for the lovely visit to your serene garden. Your poppy looks like some kind of maybe a somniferum or something else since my orientalis has very divided and hairy leaves.
Thank you Lauren! I am always pleased to correctly identify each plant. Thank you for your help on this.
And I don’t want to come across as one of those snarky know it alls. 😉
On this channel if you know something I don't, then I'm all ears - I love learning.
Beautiful and I love it's 🥰🌷🌹⚘💐
Thank you Yvencia.
Sunrise here at 4.44 this morning and sunset 21.44. Yes, please send all rain to my PO box number!
Those long summer days are magical. Time for lovely long walks and gardening ....and nursery visits!
Absolutely. My days are shortening now - yours are getting longer! 😆
🥺🥰 Such beauty!
Thank you!
Amazing Garden 🐸💚🐸
Thank you.
@@paultsworld no problems we’ve just subscribed and going through all your amazing videos 🐸💚🐸
@@UkAmphibians thank you - hope you enjoy my videos.
Such a gorgeous garden. How do you keep everything looking so good, no weed?
There are plenty of weeds, and weeding done - it's never ending!
Lovely! Thank you.
So pleased you liked my garden.
สวัสดีค่ะ สวยมากค่ะสูขภาพจิตดีมากค่ะ ชอบๆๆ
ขอบคุณสวนบำบัดมาก
Beautiful, thank you
Thank you.
That's interesting that moths visit buddleia as well. My buddleia will be out soon- hopefully.
hermoso, jardín 🪴 🌼🌱🎋🌺👌
Gracias Tomasa.
Beautiful
Thank you
Your garden looks fantastic and full of life in June 👌🏻
Do you know which variety of Ceanothus that is? The new one you showed. I'm after a few evergreen shrubs and that looks great...
I would recommend Ceanothus - evergreen, nice blue and the bees love it. Check it is OK for your Winters. The one I have is Ceanothus thyrsiflorus 'skylark'
And I recently got one of those wedding cake trees…it is 8” tall!
Well I suppose it will be starting its first tier. I hope you have many tiers to come.
Well worth the work you put in Paul, to be able to share with us is just great. Do you do a general feed through out the year to borders and lawns?
Popcorn ready! :)
😄
Everything is looking beautiful Paul. So enjoyed this tour. If you cut back creeping phlox do they bloom again?
That's a good question Marti. I am still learning about creeping phlox - I don't think cutting back helps it bloom again but I will experiment.
Luv the tour! What is variety of your London pride? I’m eating some things for partial shade partial sun that would spread really well I’m a 7A in Oklahoma,
Sorry, I don't know Patricia - I didn't know there were different varieties. Mine do spread really well.
Lovely look
Thank you Anees.
@@paultsworld Thanks!
I love lady bugs 🐞🐞🐞
Me too - haven't seen many yet but always a pleasure to have them in the garden.
Luckily all the vegetables are doing well this year - the pigeons haven't discovered them yet!
The garden is looking really stunning. Have a look at the company ‘EverEdge’. I think this will really help to define your borders.
Thanks James - I'll check them out.
You should be able to keep the bee population going single-handed in the UK.
That’s nice thank you. I do love to see the insects collecting pollen.
Absolutely lovely Paul! Hope all your pruned lavenders came back this year. When you say "lots of food for the roses", what does that mean to you?
Sounds as though your roses are are going to have a great Summer!
