    I just purchased a 2020 Honda CR-V and I do not regret it at all. It was between Toyota Rav 4 and the Honda, the Toyota was much smaller inside and didn’t have the tech included at a reasonable price. The interior looks outdated and Honda is still a very reliable brand at a reasonable price. I would buy my Honda again.

      I loved my 2000 Forester but like what my friend said after 6 years , it will start to fall apart. I drove mine up to 140,000 plus miles with leaking gas pumps etc. Finally donated it in 2017 since it was one problem after another.

    I'm single and my 2019 Nissan Rogue Special Edition AWD has all the space I need and the power is good wasn't looking for a race car so I haven't had any problem with it........ Very happy with my choice. These SUV's shown here, in my opinion, are bigger so they are more for families.

    Bought a 2020 Rav4 last week, I am still getting used to the power.. I've moved from a 1.6 L car to a 2.0 L Mid-spec SUV.. Mine came from Japan ( I'm from the Caribbean ) and I don't have the engine noise issue. I chose it above a Tiguan, and TDI Turbo 1.4 L is too underpowered, VWs have no resale value and I hear they begin to give trouble by year #3... I had a transmission breakdown with a Nissan, I'd prefer to not break down ever again.

    I own the hybrid forester model at the moment, I love it especially for snow days, deep snow driving and sundays offroading! I guess the 150hp+17hp hybrid version is a little cooler than the 182hp american one to be honest! It's a little heavier in europe due to its hybridation, but when driving in town, the hybrid 0-40kmh start is actually pretty cool even though I use to be a 100% petrolhead! Hybridation is very small on that SUV though.
    It's incredible to drive on snow or offroad anyway! I use to do offroading with real 4wd, and I can do most of the stuff I use to do with that forester, and that is impressive from a family AWD!
    The CVT is way better than what I thought it would be first. I was one skeptical CVT hater, but finally it's not that bad although I'd prefer to have a manual (I know it's not really possible with hybridation though).

    I purchased a new Outback in 2017, had RAB and many electrical problems from the start. After only a couple of months I had the car in the deanship for repairs. The dealer only deleted the PC history, did nothing to fix the problem, and does not supply the needed paperwork to prove I was there. This practice is still going on today. The service tech brags, "as long as I work here, no one will ever qualify for Lemon Law protection " Problems got MUCH worse. In for repair 10 + times, towed in 4 times. After contacting Subaru customers support, they said because the dealer refused to supply paperwork for your visits, they refused to refund my money for the Lemon they sold me. Car was traded in, because it would not work, still under warranty, still not fixed because they didn't know how to fix it. Lost well over $14,000 because Subaru does not stand behind their cars, or the customer.

      @@sashellpottorff459 I honestly don't know about new ones. CVT in general has a reputation of not living as long as conventional transmissions. Once one of these CVTs goes out, they are ridiculously expensive to replace (in some cases over 6k). The driving dynamic is also totally different. The small size SUV I have has a good engine in it, but the CVT makes it feel underpowered because the engine runs at different rpm than the normal driver is use to.

      I would never touch the following: Subaru - CVT and engine burns oil; CRV-CVT and engine issues with oil dilution (cold climates); Nissan-CVT and other reliability issues; VW- nuff said (unreliable); Jeep-same as VW; Hyundai & Kia- while good value for money just a lot of plasticky cheap materials inside and still having engine issues long-term; likely a RAV4 with the 8-spd tranny and Mazda-skyactiv engine and tranny are the only ones I will touch.

    • @thetruth4529
      @thetruth4529 5 років тому

      tekz I'd avoid the 8 SPD rav4's , lots of people have been complaining about transmission issues that also plague the new Camry as well (Primarily hesitation and rough shifting). Until Toyota addresses these issues the hybrid is the way to go.
      The Hybrid has an eCVT which differs from a standard CVT like the CR-V. The belt and pulleys are replaced with planetary gears and electronic motors so it should do better long term the gasoline models. It's a bit more expensive but worth the extra money

      Hi. My wife and I both have Mazda’s. She has the cx5. I have the Mazda 3. Both are very comfortable for me and I’m 6 ft. For back problems I’d look for lumber controls and heated seats. Mazda does offer these options. Not sure about others. But when I have a bad back day, I can work in physical therapy, I use that heated seat and it actually reaches my lumbar area. Some heated seats may not heat above the actual buttocks area. Just check out different cars in your area. Hopefully you’ll find something comfortable for you.

    I am considering the Mazda CX-5 for my next car. Not a fan of Toyota, so that's out. Honda CR-V seems like a car everyone has, I would never find my car in a mall parking lot, lol.

      Besides the commonality, the Honda CR-V is having FREQUENT oil dilution issues with the 1.5 liter turbo engine. Aside from the large cargo space, I would not go with the CR-V (at least with the 1.5 which is standard above a certain trim level) for that reason. This issue has brought Honda from #4 to #12 in terms of reliability on Consumer Reports’ rankings.

      I have a 2019 CX5... it blows all those cars away. It's luxurious and drives like a sedan. Awesome vehicle. My daughter has the 2019 RAV 4 but she loves the CX5 more. The Mazda feels and looks luxurious inside and it's quiet. The RAV 4 looks plain inside and the engine growls. Just because it sells more doesn't mean it's better. Having said that, I think Toyota will eventually buy Mazda... it can't survive much longer on its own in this type of competitive market environment.

    Looking around for a new car. I'd really like an SUV, but I want something that is reliable, worth my money, and roomy. I don't care about the specs so long as I have a Bluetooth radio and nice brakes. If you have any car suggestions similar to my demands let me know. Looking to spend between $19-22k.

      Try to find a Kia Sportage FWD LX might be able to get one on sale for close to that price. The reason I mention it is because they put noticeably large, ventilated discs and oversized calipers on the front wheels.

      susan ochonogor for something cheap and fuel efficient, I recommend forester, even the lowest trim level has apple carplay and Android auto, plus some safety features, plus you get all wheel drive standard, if you don’t need all wheel drive, you can buy rav4 LE.

Just increase speed in youtube to 1.25x speed and the voice gets better/more smooth flowing - love video speed control in youtube :) Total side note but if you ever get annoyed by the long drawl of southerners in youtube videos - bump up speed to 1.25 or even 1.5 and it will sound totally normal to us 'northerners'

    How about Hyundai SantaFe 2020?

    • @EleMenTfiNi
      @EleMenTfiNi 4 роки тому +1

      The 2019-2020 style Santa Fe is not a compact SUV, it's a mid-sized that gets compared with the compacts because it is the value champ in it's mid-sized class and is priced the same as the compacts.
      The Tucson would be the compact.

    That was just an awful review. Totally inconsistent with every other review I’ve seen. Some consistent reviews state the following: VW the slowest/ least reliable, Forester the noisiest and clumsy handling. RAV4 the loudest/Meh and the CRV large but like a toaster on wheels/boring. All the CVT in this group are loud and obnoxious.
