JETTIE ROCKS FISHING with MIKE D ...thanks...you played an inspirational part in making these videos. If I come across a Margate a little bigger I’ll have to give it a try. 😉👍
Game changer....for sure!!! 👍😃Long over due upgrade. My Anchor will probably never see the water again unless the Battery dies or I make a pit stop on an island.
The GPS Spot Lock anchoring systems are sweet additions to any boat with shafts up to 87"....No yankin' anchors....The structure can hold a lot of critters during the winter!!
Wes Lovelace yeah, trying to anchor next to structure with current and wind fighting opposite Direction was a pain. Pulling anchor just to move a 100’ or so to the next structure was a pain too. This eliminates all that hassle. Worth every penny 👍😁 thanks.
I love your and Mike D videos . I watch them sitting in the cold Pa. But will be there Jan thru March. I did send a request to your Salty Strikes Group but it still says pending.
Charles Mcclelland ...we really appreciate the positive support. As far as the Group on FB, I’m having issues with FB, I’m not sure if that happening. I’ll get back with you.
I live in Daytona area also. We are about to get the same boat. How much water does that boat draft? 18-20 inches how shallow can you take it. If you put in Tomoka st Park can you get through the basin easily in this boat?
Shane 1178 ... water line on the boat is about 15”. Our boat has a Jack plate which lets us get around in 1 1/2 ft of water. Without the jack plate you really have to trim up the motor and you lose propulsion and steering.
Bill Mead ... “Fish Rules” App, works great and uses your location to determine regulations in your area. Another good rule of thumb is “when in doubt throw it out”
Also when watching You-tubers take what you hear with a grain of Salt. Some are well informed and helpful and others not so much. Me included, I’ve miss spoke about size on occasion so always double check the App. If I catch the mistake I try and correct it in editing. Good luck and welcome 👍😁
MotorGuide works with my Simrad, if my remote stops working I can still use my Simrad to operate it. Save waypoints for it to anchor too....etc.... Also Minn Kota has priced themselves out of the market. Auto deploy would be nice but for an extra $1K, that’s just one more thing to break. Some people say they break to easy and some people swear by them 🤷♂️. I did a lot of reading an research before I went with the Xi5. I made the choose bases on price, Simrad compatibility, and testimonials.
Good to know. Thanks....here’s my number 4124822589 if an when u need a fishing partner .If it’s going to be during the week give me a heads up so I could take a day off if it’s on the weekend I’m game anytime
Joseph Mccarthy 10-4, after I schedule a outing with Mike D, Ill reach out about figuring out a day in January(probably be a Friday) I’ll give ya plenty of notice.
@@SaltyStrikes Love your videos Salty. Don't waste your money on an auto deploy Minn Kota Ulterra if your in salt water. I've had more trouble from water getting in between the steering module and trim module corroding the two copper rings that rotate.. 700$ to replace both parts. I just took mine off and bought a Rhodan.

Cool video bro...yes that was a black margate..good eating

I agree with Mike, we've always kept Margate's, very good, wonder why Salty thinks they are so bad
Salty Kayak that is
Bubbletrail 🤷♂️ to each his own, I’ll give em a try though.
GPS lock anchor is something I will never go without again.

I’m pretty sure it was deleted. I don’t really use FB anymore. I can see about starting it back up if there’s interest.
@@SaltyStrikes I think an instagram would make it easier. Facebook has lots of clutter nowadays.

I'm just getting into fishing NSB area. What's a good resource for identifying fish, limits and sizes?

@@SaltyStrikes I have a motorguide Xi5 105 thrust.. I'm not good at putting things together lol.... I'm gonna give it a try

Nash fishing... so why the motorguide over minn Kota? This is next on list I’m working towards for my boat..
